컴퓨터 그래픽을 이용한 한옥 유니트형 노인복지시설 모델 제시 (Model Development of Unit-care Welfare Facility for a Traditional Korean House Using Computer Graphics)

  • This paper presents computer graphics applying the traditional Korean house(Hanok) style interior to unit-care space of Welfare Facility and proposes the possibility as interior design and construction materials. In this paper, the proposed computer graphic-based model is a single-story building that provides convenient traffic between rooms. Computer graphic-based model is presented by Auto CAD, 3D program (Sketch-UP v.8), rendering program (Podium v.2) based on the traditional Korean house and related work of unit-care welfare facility. Computer graphic-based model that combined unit-care and the traditional Korean house has the following characteristics. In each room of living space, wallpaper and flooring Korean paper(Hnaji) is considered and windows, door, furniture of traditional pattern were placed. The living room(Daechung) that is representative of the traditional Korean house and the corridor (toenmaru) are the elements to save the image of the traditional Korean house as much as possible. Especially, the corridor (toenmaru) is placed to conveniently use in nursing-care facility and home-care support facility. A public space is placed around the inside court (An-madang), while the living space (unit-care) has a sense of independence by separation. Bathroom and kitchen have a modern design for functionality than aesthetic elements.

자동차가 환경적으로 지속가능한 도시교통에 미치는 영향 (The Environmental Impact of Automobiles on Sustainable Urban Transportation)

  • As of July 1997, the registered number of automobiles exceeded 10 million and Korean auto industry produced 2,850,000 cars. Many environmentalists warn that the passenger cars are not sustainable urban transportation system in large cities. The cars produce about 80% of air pollutants, and consume 30% of petroleum imported. For the past 30 years the administration increased the road system, but the length of road per car is decreased from 813m in 1965 to 9m in 1995. The cost of traffic congestion was estimated to be \14.7 trillion in 1996, and is feared to increase without changing the present transportation system. The undesirable impact of cars include the casualties from traffic accidents, insurance loss, and separation of human relatioships. To construct sustainable urban transportation system, three principles should be followed. The first principle is to make the urban streets walkable for the people. The second principle is to encourage bicycling. Roads and traffic systems should be designed to let bicylces travel safely. The third principle is to supply more buses and construct integrated transportation system based on buses. The subway system is too expensive to construct and without the support of a well-organized bus system it may not work efficiently. The Brazilian city of Curitiba has constructed a very efficient bus system only with 1/80 of the estimated cost of subway system. The car-oriented transportation system does not seem to be an envrironmentally sustainable transportation system in most of the Korean cities.

Low-rate TCP 공격 탐지를 위한 스케일링 기반 DTW 알고리즘의 성능 분석 (Performance Evaluation of Scaling based Dynamic Time Warping Algorithms for the Detection of Low-rate TCP Attacks)

  • 본 논문에서는 최근 새롭게 발견된 low-rate TCP (LRT) 공격과 이 공격을 감지하기 위한 DTW (Dynamic Time Warping) 알고리즘을 분석하고 공격 검출에 대한 성능 향상을 위한 스케일링 기반 DTW (Scaling based DTW; S-DTW) 알고리즘을 소개한다. Low-rate TCP 공격은 대용량 트래픽을 사용한 기존 서비스 거부 공격과는 다르게 공격 트래픽의 평균 트래픽 양이 적어서 기존 DoS 공격에 대한 감지 방식으로는 검출되지 않는다. 그러나 LRT 공격은 주기적이고 짧은 버스트 트래픽으로 TCP 연결의 최소 재전송 타임아웃 (Retransmission Timeout; RTO)에 대한 취약성을 공격하기 때문에 패턴 매칭으로 공격 감지가 가능하다. 기존 메커니즘에 의한 감지 기법은 공격 패턴의 입력 샘플 템플릿을 기준으로 입력 트래픽이 정상 트래픽인지 또는 공격 트래픽인지를 판별한다. 이 과정에서 입력 트래픽의 특성에 따라서 DTW 알고리즘은 정상 트래픽을 공격 트래픽으로 오판하는 문제점을 갖는다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 이러한 오판을 줄이기 위하여 기존 DTW 알고리즘의 전처리 과정인 자기상관 (auto-correlation) 처리를 분석하여 오판을 규명한다. 또한 스케일링 기반으로 자기상관 처리 결과를 수정하여 공격 트래픽과 정상 트래픽의 특성의 차이를 증가시킴으로써 DTW 알고리즘에 의한 공격 감지 능력을 향상시킨다 마지막으로 다양한 스케일링 방식과 표준편차에 의한 트래픽 분석 방법도 논의된다.

수문곡선의 감수부 특성을 고려한 기저유출 산정 (Estimation of baseflow considering recession characteristics of hydrograph)

  • 수문곡선의 감수부는 기저유출의 특성을 반영하기 때문에 강우유출 모형과 기저유출분리법을 이용한 기저유출 산정과정에서 감수부의 특성을 고려해야한다. 따라서 본 연구는 감수특성을 고려하여 Soil and Water Assessment Tool(SWAT)의 보정에서 유량예측의 정확성을 높이고, 보정된 SWAT으로부터 예측된 유량으로부터 기저유출을 분리하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 RECESS으로부터 산정된 alpha factor와 11개의 다른 매개변수를 자동보정모듈에 적용한 시나리오 (S1)와 SWAT의 매개변수인 alpha factor를 포함한 12개의 매개변수를 자동보정모듈에 적용한 시나리오 (S2)에 대해 SWAT을 이용해 유량 모의를 하였다. 또한, 두 시나리오에 대해 SWAT으로 예측된 유량을 Web-based Hydrograph Analysis Tool (WHAT)을 적용하여 기저유출을 산정하였다. 보정 결과는 유량에 대한 두 시나리오의 Nash-Sutcliffe Efficiency (NSE) 값들 사이에 큰 차이는 보이지 않았으나 기저유출의 경우 S1에 대한 NSE는 0.777이고, S2의 NSE 결과는 0.844로 다소 큰 차이를 보였다. 연평균 유량의 분포의 정량적 비교를 위한 관측유량과 상대오차를 산정하였으며 S1에 대하여 20.78%, S2에 대하여 6.59%의 상대오차를 보였다. 본 연구는 모형을 이용하여 예측된 유량으로부터 기저유출을 산정하는데 있어 감수부 특성의 중요성을 보여주었다.

신호교차로 내 실시간 교통사고 자동검지 알고리즘 개발 (Development of the Algorithm for Traffic Accident Auto-Detection in Signalized Intersection)

  • 영상기반의 교통정보수집시스템은 관리 및 운영상의 한계를 보이고 있는 기존의 루프검지기의 역할을 대체하는 검지기로써의 역할뿐만 아니라 다양한 교통류의 정보를 제공하고 관리할 수 있다는 점에서 여러 나라에서 보급 활용되기 시작했다. 또한 용도와 사용범위에 있어서도 획기적인 확장세에 있다. 반면에 교통사고 관리와 관련하여 현재까지는 단순히 교통사고 예상지역에 감시카메라를 설치해 두고 기록되는 자료의 디지털화를 추진하는 정도의 영상처리기술을 활용하고 있는 형편이다. 교차로 내 교통사고의 발생 전과 후의 순차적인 상황을 정확히 기록하고, 이 자료를 통해 발생된 교통사고의 사고 매커니즘을 객관적이고 명확하게 조명하고 분석하는 것은 교통사고 처리에 있어서 어느 것보다 시급하고 중요한 부분이다. 기존 기술들은 교차로의 환경적 다양한 변화로 인해 극복하기 매우 어려운 차량의 객체분리, 추적 등의 기술을 가지고 있음에도 불구하고 엄청난 데이터처리용량으로 실시간으로 적용하기 어려운 문제들을 갖고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 이를 극복할 수 있는 기술 방식을 제시하고자 한다. 또한 기존에 잘 알려진 환경적 장애요소 제거방식 중 가장 우수한 방식으로 평가받고 있는 가우시안 복합모델 분석기법에서 조차 환경적인 요인으로 인해 자주 발생하고 있는 오 검지 상황들을 효과적으로 저감시킬 수 있는 능동적이고 환경적응적인 기법을 제시하고 구현하여 그 기술의 성능을 평가하고자 한다. 기존의 교통사고자동기록장치와 비교해 본 연구의 결과가 비교우위의 성능을 구현하였음을 입증하기 위해 실제 운용되고 있는 신호교차로의 영상을 실시간 온라인으로 입력받아 시험하였으며 이 시험결과를 기존의 다른 기술의 성능과 비교평가를 실시하였다.

  • 탈취온도를 상이하게 처리한 옥수수기름들로부터 정유성분을 추출하여 이의 favor 성분을 GC로 분리 정량하였다. Flavor성분으로는 8종의 aldehydes를 포함하여 총 16종이 검출되었으며, 주요 flavor성분은 propane, pentane, hexanal 등으로 이는 전체의 70~75%를 차지하였다. 탈취온도가 상승할수록 ethane 및 8종의 propane, pentane, hexane, octane, pentyl furna 함량은 뚜렷한 감소현상을 나타내었다. 한편, 총 flavor 성분함량은 245$^{\circ}C$ 처리군에서 가장 낮아 특이성을 나타내었으며, 탈취온도의 상승에 따라 aldehydes 함량이 비례적으로 증가하였는데, 이는 탈취과정 중 stripping steam, 진공도 등의 영향으로 인한 부분인 자동산화, 분해, 중합, 가수분해 등의 부반응에 기인하는 것으로 사료된다. 따라서, 이취물질의 극소화를 위하여는 지나친 고온탈취를 억제하는 것이 바람직하다는 결론을 얻었다.

칩 처리가 포함된 절삭유/폐유 분리 및 냉각 시스템 개발 (Development of Coolant/Waste-oil Separating and Cooling System with Chip Treatment)

  • For most machine tools, it is necessary to remove chips and coolant oil because it they will continue to be created during the manufacture of workpieces. Existing products that are in use are installed and used as they reflect depending on the characteristics of each device separately. This study proposes a method to remove the security chip as well as developing an integrated system capable of reducing coolant damage. The Leverage AutoCAD and CATIA program was used for 2D and 3D design, shapes were identified by utilizing the KeyShot program, and the load and displacement analysis of the development apparatus was performed utilizing the ANSYS program. After the prototype underwent sufficient design review, the mixed oil separation device had a complete sensor control program using the LabVIEW program. The chip design process for transferring experiments and experiments on the mixed oil cooling device were developed for performance tests of the product. The final product resulted in an increase in space utilization during commercialization, reduced installation costs, and caused social effects such as pulmonary flow reduction, which, through the economic costs, reduces pollution, resulting in various benefits to the industry, such as deceased errors in the workplace decreases.

Recovery of Palladium from a Mixture of Pt, Pd and Rh by Solvent Extraction

  • Platinum group metals (pgm) are useful to many industries such as chemical, dental and medical, petroleum, refining, electrical and electronic, and automotive. Researchers at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and PGM Recovery Ltd. have developed jointly an environmentally sound and metallurgically efficient process for extracting these metals from secondary sources. Once these metals have been dissolved in the leach liquor, the individual metals mainly platinum, palladium, and rhodium, should be separated in order to recover the individual metals with high purity. During this investigation, solvent extraction has been chosen as the method used to achieve the separation and extraction of platinum, palladium, and rhodium from the leach liquor. There were three solutions used throughout this procedure: 1) Synthetic solution (200 ppm Pt 80 ppm Pd 20 ppm Rh; 300 ppm Pt, 180 ppm Pd 50 ppm Rh), and 2) Auto catalyst leach liquors (100 ppm Pt, 30 ppm Pd, 20 ppm Rh). The solvents investigated included Lix 84(2-hydroxy-5-nonylacetonphenone oxime in a mixture with 5-dodecylsalicyloxime), Lix 84-I, ACORGA CLX-50 (diester of pyridine 3,5 dicarboxylic acid), and di-hexyl sulfide. The extraction values achieved using ACORGA CLX-50, Lix 84, and Lix 84-I were respectively Pt (25%, 0% 0%), Pd (100%, 99.8%, 95.3%), and Rh (99.1%, 35.5%, 4.25%). The stripping processes for the Lix 84, and Lix 84-I were proven to be more involved than others. The solutions were required to be simultaneously heated and stirred. The percentages acquired through these processes yielded unsatisfactory results. The stripping procedure for the ACORGA CLX-50 was easier to execute, yet the percentage recovered from this process was also unsatisfactory. Overall the di-hexyl sulfide has proved to be the most successful organic for this procedure. The average percent extracted for palladium was excellent with 99.9% - 100% with very little Platinum and rhodium extracted. The ability of stripping palladium in ammonia solution was also found to be excellent.

Study on mapping of dark matter clustering from real space to redshift space

  • The mapping of dark matter clustering from real to redshift spaces introduces the anisotropic property to the measured density power spectrum in redshift space, known as the Redshift Space Distortion (hereafter RSD) effect. The mapping formula is intrinsically non-linear, which is complicated by the higher order polynomials due to the indefinite cross correlations between the density and velocity fields, and the Finger-of-God (hereafter FoG) effect due to the randomness of the peculiar velocity field. Furthermore, the rigorous test of this mapping formula is contaminated by the unknown non-linearity of the density and velocity fields, including their auto- and cross-correlations, for calculating which our theoretical calculation breaks down beyond some scales. Whilst the full higher order polynomials remains unknown, the other systematics can be controlled consistently within the same order truncation in the expansion of the mapping formula, as shown in this paper. The systematic due to the unknown non-linear density and velocity fields is removed by separately measuring all terms in the expansion using simulations. The uncertainty caused by the velocity randomness is controlled by splitting the FoG term into two pieces, 1) the non-local FoG term being independent of the separation vector between two different points, and 2) the local FoG term appearing as an indefinite polynomials which is expanded in the same order as all other perturbative polynomials. Using 100 realizations of simulations, we find that the best fitted non-local FoG function is Gaussian, with only one scale-independent free parameter, and that our new mapping formulation accurately reproduces the observed power spectrum in redshift space at the smallest scales by far, up to k ~ 0.3 h/Mpc, considering the resolution of future experiments.

사행수로에서의 유속 및 분산특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study of Flow and Dispersion Characteristics in Meandering Channel)

  • General behaviors based on hydraulic characteristics of natural streams and channels have been recently analyzed and developed via various numerical models. However in the states of natural hydraulics, an experimental research must be performed simultaneously with the mathematical analysis due to effects of hydraulic properties such as meander, sediment, and so on. In this study based on 2-D advection-dispersion equation, flow and tracer experiments were performed in the S-curved meandering laboratory channel with a rectangular cross-section. The channel was equipped with instrument carriages which was equipped with an auto-traversing system to be used with velocity measuring sensors throughout the depth and breadth of the flow field. To measure concentration distribution of the salt solution was adjusted to that of the flume water by adding methanol and a red dye (KMnO4) was added to aid the visualization of the tracer cloud, the tracer was instantaneously injected into the flow as a full-depth vertical line source by the instantaneous injector and the initial concentration of the tracer was 100,000 mg/l. The secondary current as well as the primary flow pattern was analyzed to investigate the flow distribution in the meandering channels. The velocity distribution of the primary flow for all cases skewed toward the inner bank at the first bend, and was almost symmetric at the crossovers, and then shifted toward the inner bank again at the next alternating bend. Thus, one can clearly notice that the maximum velocity occurs taking the shortest course along the channel, irrespective of the flow conditions. The result of the tracer tests shows that pollutant clouds are spreading following the maximum velocity lines in each cases with various mixing patterns like superposition, separation, and stagnation of pollutant clouds. Flow characteristics in each cases performed in this study can be compared with tracer dispersion characteristics with using evaluation of longitudinal and transverse dispersion coefficients(LDC, TDC). As expected, LDC and TDC in meandering parts have been evaluated with increasing distribution and straight parts have effected to evaluate minimum of LDC and TDC due to symmetric flow patterns and attenuations of secondary flow.
