PID auto-tuning controller design via fuzzy logic

  • PID auto-tuning controller was designed via fuzzy logic. Typical values such as error and error derivative feedbackwere changed as heuristic expressions, and they determine PID gain through fuzzy logic and defuzzification process. Fuzzy procedure and PID controller design were considered separately, and they are combined and analyzed. Obtained auto-tuning PID controller by Fuzzy Logic showed the ability for less than 3rd order plant control.

  • In this paper, we propose a method which control parametric uncertainty systems using PID controller by fuzzy auto tuning. We get the error and the error change rate of plant output correspond to the initial value of parameter using the Ziegler-Nickols tuning and determine the new proportional gain$(K_p)$ and the integral time $(T_i)$ from fuzzy tuner by the error and error change rate of plant output as a membership function of fuzzy theory. The Fuzzy Auto-tuning algorithm for PID controller operate to adapt variable parameter of plant in parametric uncertainty systems. It is shown this method considerably improve the transient response at computer simulation.

  • In this paper auto-tuning scheme of PID controller based on the reference model has been studied by immune algorithm for a process. Up to this time, many sophisticated tuning algorithms have been tried in order to improve the PID controller performance under such difficult conditions. However, in the actual plant, they are manually tuned through a trial and error procedure, and the derivative action is switched off. Therefore, it is difficult to tune. Simulation results by immune based tuning reveal that tuning approaches suggested in this paper is an effective approach to search for optimal or near optimal process control.

  • 본 논문에서는 영구자석형 동기전동기의 속도제어를 위한 전류제어 서보시스템을 설계하였다. PI(Proportional Integral) 제어기 파라메터의 자동동조(auto-tuning)를 위한 기존의 방법들에서는 출력응답이 지연되고 오버슈트 가 발생된다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 기존의 문제점들을 해결함으로써 빠른 응답과 오버슈트를 제거할 수 있는 새로운 PI자동동조 방법을 속도 제어기에 적용한다. 영구자석형 동기전동기 서보시스템은 수많은 서보 모터들이 사용되고 있는 자동화 공장에서 보수 유지의 용이성과 가제어성으로 인해 많은 장점들을 제공한다. 구현된 서보시스템은 회전자의 절대 위치 검출회로, 자동동조 PI 제어 알고리즘, DSP(Digital Signal Processor)에 의한 속도제어기, 그리고 전력 구동부 등으로 구성된다. 본 논문에서 제안된 서보시스템의 실질적인 유용성은 실험을 통해 입증한다.

  • This Paper deals with a Auto-Tuning Fuzzy PID Controller used in real time and its application for induction motor. The control strategy of the controller is able to develop and improve automatically. The new Auto-Tuning Fuzzy PID Control algorithm which modifies the fuzzy control decision table is presented in this paper. It can automatically refine an initial approximate set of fuzzy rules. The possibility of applying fuzzy algorithms in faster response, and more accurate was compared with other industrial processes, such as AC Motor driver. The performance of Proportional_Integral Derivative(PID) control and this fuzzy controllers is compared in terms of steady_state error, settling time, and response time. And then, Limitations of fuzzy control algorithms are also described.

  • In process industries, more than 90% of the control loops have PID controller. Futhermore, the most control systems are using classical PID controllers for their process control. Various auto-tuning methods of PID gains using relay-feedback are presented recently. In order to get the desired control performance, the correct tuning of PID controller is very important. This paper suggests how to tune of digital PID gains using information for both the Nyquist critical point by conventional method and another point by the relay feedback and hidden time-delay term. Simulation results show that the proposed controller has better performance than the conventional method.

  • PID제어기는 산업자동화 설비에 널리 쓰이고 있다. 하지만 시스템 특성이 변화하면, 정밀제어를 위한 매개변수 결정과 동조가 쉽지 않다. 이를 해결하기 위한 방법으로 본 논문에서는 PLC를 사용한 전문가 자동동조 PID 제어기를 제안하였다. 전문가 자동동조 알고리즘은 Ziegler-Nichols의 계단응답법과 전문가 지식을 기초로 하였다. 제어의성능 실험은 가변부하시 유도모터 속도제어의 수행에 의하여 확인하였다.

  • In this paper, the control of a membrane used in reverse osmosis desalination plant by using immune algorithm(IA) is addressed. The proposed algorithm IA of auto tuning method can find optimal gains and compared with conventional Ziegler-Nichols tuning method. The results of computer simulation represent that the proposed IA shows a good control performances better than Ziegler-Nichols tuning method.

  • In this paper, some rules for auto- tuning of feedback-feedforward controller in variable load and disturbance are presented. The parameters of feedback PID controller are determined by heuristic rules based on input regulation experiment, and the parameters of feedforward controller are determined by result rules based on spectral factorization, minimum variance, and polynomial equation. These heuristic and result rules are used as an element of the feedback loop in an auto-tuning feedback-feedforward controller. The robust and accurate control performance is demonstrated by computer simulation.

  • Recently, two degrees of freedom PID control systems have attracted attention, because of their better process control quality for both set point variable tracking and disturbance resistivity than that of conventional PID control systems. This paper describes a new auto-tuning method for the two degrees of freedom PID control system based on a newly developed model matching method in the frequency domain. This new method has been introduced into a two degrees of freedom PID auto-tuning controller, named AdTune TOSDIC-21D8. The superior features of the controller and the results of field tests Are presented.
