칼만필터를 이용한 농용 균평헬리콥터의 살포비행자세 평가 (Evaluation of Spray Flight Attitude for Agricultural Roll-balanced Helicopter using Kalman Filter)

  • Purpose: Aerial spraying with an agricultural unmanned helicopter became a new paradigm in the agricultural practice. Laterally tilting behavior of a conventional agricultural helicopter, resulting in the biased down-wash and uneven spray deposit is a physically intrinsic phenomenon while hovering and cruise flights. Authors studied and developed a roll-balanced agricultural helicopter with a raised pylon tail rotor system. In this study, the attitude of the roll-balanced helicopter was determined using the Kalman filter algorithm, and the quality of roll balancing of a bare-airframe helicopter was evaluated. Methods: Instantaneous attitudes were estimated using the advantage of gyroscope, followed by the long term correction and prediction using accelerometer data for the advantage of convergence. The attitudes of the fuselage were calculated by applying the Kalman filter algorithm. The spraying maneuver of the helicopter was performed at a field of 50 m long, and the attitude data were acquired and evaluated. Results: The determination of attitude using the inertial measurement unit(IMU) and Kalman filter was reliable and practical. The intrinsic attitude of the developed helicopter was stable and roll-balanced. The deviation of roll angle was ${\pm}6.3^{\circ}$ with an average of $0^{\circ}$, referring to roll-balanced. Conclusions: Handling quality of the roll attitude determined to be steadily balanced. The balancing behavior of the developed helicopter would result in an even spray pattern during aerial application.

Tank 배치를 고려한 유조선의 최소 중량 설계 (Minimum Weight Design of Oil Tankers Considering Tank Arrangement)

  • 선체 중량이 최소가 되는 설계를 수행하기 위해서는 선체 중량이 최소가 되는 tank 배치의 결정이 선행되어야 하며, 결정된 tank 배치 내에서 선체 중량이 최소가 되는 구조 부재의 배치 및 치수를 결정하여야 한다. 선체 중량이 최소가 되는 tank 배치를 하기 위하여 저자들에 의해 개발된 선급 규정에 의한 종강도 부재의 최소 중량 설계 프로그램과 일반화 경사처짐법에 의한 횡강도 부재의 최소 중량 설계 프로그램을 결합하여 화물창부의 선각 중량을 구하였으며, 중량 추정 공식에 의해 횡격벽 및 선수미부 등의 중량을 구함으로서 선체 전체의 최소 중량 설계 프로그램을 개발하였다. 본 연구에서는 tank의 개수, web의 개수 및 종격벽의 위치 변화에 따른 선각 중량 변화를 알아보았으며, 실선 설계에 적용하고자 MARPOL을 만족하는 다양한 tank 배치를 결정하고 선체 전체의 최소 중량 설계를 수행하여 이들 중 선각 중량이 작게 되는 tank 배치를 구하였으며 실적선의 선각 중량과 비교 검토하였다.

ADH1B와 ALDH2 활성 조합이 젊은 한국인의 음주 행동에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of ADH1B, ALDH2 Activities and Their Combination on Drinking Behaviors of Korean Young Adults)

  • Objectives : It is well-known that Korean people show distinctive drinking behaviors depending on the gene polymorphisms of alcohol metabolizing enzymes. This study examined the gene polymorphisms of ALDH2 and ADH1B and their combination on the drinking behaviors of Korean young adults. Methods : Through a follow-up survey performed for a cohort consisting of 551 university freshmen for six years, the authors attempted to identify genetic factors affecting drinking behaviors. In 2000, drinking behaviors and scores of CAGE questionnaires were assessed and ALDH2 gene polymorphism was determined with PCR-RFLP. In 2006(n= 150), AUDIT-K was assessed in addition to the above and gene polymorphism of ADH1B was determined through SNaPshot$^{TM}$ method. Results : While ALDH2*2 allele was associated with increased degree of drinking in 2000 and 2006. When both enzymes were active, the possibility to be classified into the risk group for alcohol dependence such as AUDIT-K(>12), and CAGE(>2) was high. Conclusion : The ALDH2 genotype had a significant effect on drinking behavior and degree of drinking during early adulthood. However, the combination of the active form of ADH1B and the active form of ALDH2 can be risk factor for problem drinking.

$H_\infty$제어에 의한 병렬형 도립진자의 제어에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Control of Parallel-Type Inverted Pendulum by $H_\infty$ Control)

  • 병렬형 도립진자를 수학적으로 모델링하고 주파수 응답법에 의해 파라미터를 동정하여, $H_\infty$제어이론 중 혼합감도문제에 의거하여 제어계를 설계한 후 응답 시뮬레이션을 한 결과그 응답으로부터 모델링의 불확실성에 대처할 수 있는 강인한 제어계를 구성할 수 있었다. 앞으로 실제 시스템에 대하 s제어들 과제로 남겨두고 있다. 시뮬레이션 응답과는 달리 실제 으답실험에서도 좋은 결과를 얻기 위해서는 여러 가지의 어려움이 있을 것으로 예상된다. 특히 응답 시뮬레이션에서도 나타난 바와 같이 전자가 미소각으로 기울어진 상태에서 제어를 할 경우에도 각 상태의 변동량이 크고, 또한 상당한 제어입력을 요한다. 따라서 센서 잡음에 대한 영향을 충분히 고려할 필요가 있으므로, 노이즈를 많이 발생시키는 PWM방식의 직류모터 구동 드라이버보다는 선형 드라이버를 이용하는 것이 적절할 것으로 예상된다

손등 피부 마찰계수를 이용한 태음인과 소양인 간의 체질구별 (Constitutional Classification between Tae-eumin and Soyangin Types by Measurement of the Friction Coefficient on the Skin of the Human Hand)

  • 최근 피부의 마찰계수를 이용하여 한의학에서의 체질을 구별하는 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 피부의 마찰계수는 여러 고문헌에서도 알려져 있듯이 태음인과 소양인의 체질을 구별하는 인자로 활용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 다축 로드셀과 일정하중식 접촉 프로브를 이용하여 피부의 마찰계수를 정량적으로 측정하는 장비를 개발하였고 이의 측정 불확도를 측정하였다. 개발된 장비의 상대 반복도는 2 %였다. 태음인과 소양인의 체질진단 구분을 위해 왼속 손등을 측정부위로 선택하여 실험한 결과 약지를 따라 측정하는 것이 가장 효과적임을 알 수 있었다. 20명의 피험자를 대상으로 임상측정을 한 결과, 개발된 장비의 경우 3 % 이내의 측정 불확도를 가지고 태음인과 소양인의 체질 구분을 할 수 있었다.

A feasibility study of using a 3D-printed tumor model scintillator to verify the energy absorbed to a tumor

  • The authors developed a volumetric dosimetry detector system using in-house 3D-printable plastic scintillator resins. Three tumor model scintillators (TMSs) were developed using magnetic resonance images of a tumor. The detector system consisted of a TMS, an optical fiber, a photomultiplier tube, and an electrometer. The background signal, including the Cherenkov lights generated in the optical fiber, was subtracted from the output signal. The system showed 2.1% instability when the TMS was reassembled. The system efficiencies in collecting lights for a given absorbed energy were determined by calibration at a secondary standard dosimetry laboratory (kSSDL) or by calibration using Monte Carlo simulations (ksim). The TMSs were irradiated in a Gamma Knife® IconTM (Elekta AB, Stockholm, Sweden) following a treatment plan. The energies absorbed to the TMSs were measured and compared with a calculated value. While the measured energy determined with kSSDL was (5.84 ± 3.56) % lower than the calculated value, the energy with ksim was (2.00 ± 0.76) % higher. Although the TMS detector system worked reasonably well in measuring the absorbed energy to a tumor, further improvements in the calibration procedure and system stability are needed for the system to be accepted as a quality assurance tool.

방사선수술시 두개내 표적의 정위적좌표의 치료위치에서의 확인 (Stereotactic Target Point Verification in Actual Treatment Position of Radiosurgery)

  • 목적 : 정위적방사선수술시 방사선조사가 이루어지기 전에 두개내의 정위적 표적을 실제 치료위치에서 직접 확인해서 방사선수술의 안정성과 정확성을 높이고자 함. 방법 : 실제 환자의 치료전에 두부의 인체모형의 조각들 사이에 선량측정용 필름을 넣고 가는 침의 끝으로 찌른 부분을 가상적인 표적으로 삼아 컴퓨터단층촬영용 localizer 를 달고 컴퓨터단층촬영을 한 후 방사선수술용컴퓨터로 영상획득을 해서 가상적 표적점의 정위적좌표를 구한다. 이어서 두부의 인체모형을 선형가속기의 table 에 고정시키고 앞에서 구한 표적점의 좌표에 선형가속기의 laser isocenter 를 일치시킨 후 혈관촬영용 localizer 를 달고 전후와 좌우방향의 사진을 찍는다. 이렇게 찍은 port 필름의 분석으로 얻은 정위적좌표와 컴퓨터단층 촬영의 영상획득 (image acquisition) 으로 이미 구한 정위적좌표를 비교해서 차이를 교정해 준 뒤 3 개의 arc 로 정위적 방사선수술을 시행하고 두부의 인체모형에 삽입되었던 필름을 현상하여 선량분포의 중심과 가는 침으로 만든 구멍으로 표시된 표적점의 거리를 필름농도계를 이용하여 측정한다. 실제 환자치료시에도 컴퓨터단층촬영용 localizer 와 혈관촬영용 localizer 를 써서 정위적좌표를 구하는 과정은 인체모형을 이용한 연구에서와 같다. 두 좌표의 차이를 교정한 후 실제 치료로 진행한다. 결과 : 인체모형연구에서는 선량분포의 중심과 표적점의 차이가 0.3 mm 로 잘 일치했다. 실제 환자 1 예 에서는 컴퓨터단층촬영의 영상으로 부터 구한 isocenter 의 좌표와 실제 치료위치에서 혈관촬영용 localizer 를 이용하여 구한 isocenter 의 좌표가 0.6 mm 의 차이를 보여 잘 일치하였다. 결론 : 방사선수술시 정위적 표적점을 방사선조사전에 치료위치에서 확인하므로써 방사선 수술과정의 정확성과 안전성을 높일 수 있었다.

영상분석을 통한 KL-3 엔진 노즐목 삭마 경향 분석 (Analysis on Ablation of KL-3 Engine Nozzle Throat Using Image Analysis)

  • In this research, authors tried to measure the shape of the nozzle throat of KL-3 engines, which is the main engine of KSR-III rocket, to find the increase of nozzle area caused by the thermal ablation. For the purpose, we invented an image-based method instead of the 3D pointer, which is actually inaccessible to such large scale engines. As a result, our equipment showed satisfactory accuracy and performance. Analysing the results of experiments, we find that the pattern of ablation is determined by the spray pattern and that the process of thermal ablation phenomena can be categorized in three regimes - the first regime that the shape of nozzle throat is maintained and ablation is negligible, the second regime that saw-tooth form is developed and ablation is accelerated, and the third regime that the saw-tooth form is already established and the growth of ablation rate is reduced. Also, we find that the ratio of area increase after 60 seconds combustion is +5.82% and conclude that this figure is acceptable and satisfactory.

A stress-function variational approach toward CFRP -concrete interfacial stresses in bonded joints

  • This paper presents an innovative stress-function variational approach in formulating the interfacial shear and normal stresses in an externally bonded concrete joint using carbon fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP) plies. The joint is subjected to surface traction loadings applied at both ends of the concrete substrate layer. By introducing two interfacial shear and normal stress functions on the CFRP-concrete interface, based on Euler-Bernoulli beam idea and static stress equations of equilibrium, the entire stress fields of the joint were determined. The complementary strain energy was minimized in order to solve the governing equation of the joint. This yields an ordinary differential equation from which the interfacial normal and shear stresses were proposed explicitly, satisfying all the multiple traction boundary conditions. Lamination theory for composite materials was also employed to obtain the interfacial stresses. The proposed approach was validated by the analytic models in the literature as well as through a comprehensive computational code generated by the authors. Furthermore, a numerical verification was carried out via the finite element software ABAQUS. In the end, a scaling analysis was conducted to analyze the interfacial stress field dependence of the joint upon effective issues using the devised code.

단일벽 탄소나노튜브 필름의 전기적 및 광학적 특성 (Electrical and Optical Property of Single-Wall Carbon Nanotubes Films)

  • Thin films of single-wall carbon nanotubes (SWNT) with various thicknesses were fabricated, and their optical and electrical properties were investigated. The SWNTs of various thicknesses were directly coated in the arc-discharge chamber during the synthesis and then thermally and chemically purified. The crystalline quality of the SWNTs was improved by the purification processes as determined by Raman spectroscopy measurements. The resistance of the film is the lowest for the chemically purified SWNTs. The resistance vs. thickness measurements reveal the percolation thickness of the SWNT film to be $\sim$50 nm. Optical absorption coefficient due to Beer-Lambert is estimated to be $7.1{\times}10^{-2}nm^{-1}$. The film thickness for 80% transparency is about 32 nm, and the sheet resistance is 242$\Omega$/sq. The authors also confirmed the relation between electrical conductance and optical conductance with very good reliability by measuring the resistance and transparency measurements.
