미혼 성인의 부모신념형성에 관한 연구: 아동기 내적 표상과 부모와의 의사소통을 중심으로 (A study on the formation of parental beliefs of the unmarried : Focused on the internal representation of childhood and communication of one's parents)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the formation of parental beliefs. For this study, 154 unmarried university students were asked to fill in a packet of survey questionnaire about parental beliefs, the internal representation of childhood, and communication with their parents. Data collected were analyzed using correlation and multiple regression by SPSS PC program. It was reported that the internal representation of parenting formed in childhood influences the development of rational authoritative beliefs, distancing beliefs, and direct authoritative beliefs. Also, the open communication with parents affected the distancing beliefs and rational authoritative beliefs.

부모의 양육유형이 사교육비지출과 자녀의 학업성적에 미치는 영향: 사교육비지출의 매개효과를 중심으로 (The Effect of Parenting Styles on Private Educational Expenditure and Academic Performance of Children: Focusing on Mediation Effect of Private Educational Expenditure)

  • Using a sample of third grade middle school students from the forth wave of Children and Youth Panel Survey in 2012, the mediation effects of private educational expenditure between parenting styles and children's academic performance were investigated by applying factor, cluster, tobit, and two stage regression analysis. The major results were as follows. First, four types of parenting style were identified. The most frequent parenting style was ambivalent parenting (tiger parenting) which was followed by authoritative parenting. Second, compared to permissive parenting style, ambivalent, authoritative, and authoritarian parenting styles were significantly associated with more private educational expenditures. Third, more private educational expenditures were significantly associated with higher academic performance of children. I found both a full mediation effect of private educational expenditure for ambivalent and authoritarian parenting styles, and a partial mediation effect for authoritative parents. Authoritative parenting style has a negative moderating effect on the relationship between household income and private educational expenditure, along with a positive direct effect on the academic performance of children. The results suggested that an authoritative parenting style was related with higher academic performance of children with less private educational expenditures compared to other parenting styles. The results also implied that the public policies to enhance authoritative parenting style among parents would be effective to reduce household's private educational expenditures.

청소년자녀 부모의 권위주의적 양육태도, 부모와의 정서적 유대와 휴대폰 중독 - 충동성의 매개효과를 중심으로 - (Relationships on Parents' Authoritative Parenting Attitude, Adolescent's Emotional Bonding with Parents and Cellular Phone Addiction: The Mediating Effect of Impulsiveness)

  • The purpose of this study is to find the correlation between authoritative parenting attitudes, emotional bonding of adolescents with parents, impulsiveness and cellular phone addiction. The paper will also explore the mediating role of impulsiveness between adolescents' emotional bonding with parents, authoritative parenting attitudes and cellular phone addiction. The subjects were made up of 237 adolescents. The data were analyzed with frequency, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation and structural equation modeling by PASW and AMOS. The instruments used were Lee et al. (1997) Parenting Attitude, Hudson (1982) Child's Attitude Toward Parent (CATP), Lee (2001) BIS (Barnett Impulsiveness Scale) and Lee (2008) Cellular Phone Addiction. The major findings were as follows: the sex of the adolescents was significantly different with cellular phone addiction and their family economic status was significantly different with adolescents' emotional bonding with parents and cellular phone addiction. Authoritative parenting attitude was negatively correlated with adolescents' emotional bonding with parents and positively correlated with impulsiveness and cellular phone addiction. Emotional bonding of adolescents with parents was negatively correlated with impulsiveness and cellular phone addiction. Adolescents' emotional bonding with parents influenced impulsiveness and cellular phone addiction negatively, and impulsiveness mediated the effects of adolescents' emotional bonding with parents, authoritative parenting attitude and cellular phone addiction. Authoritative parenting attitude influenced adolescents' impulsiveness and cellular phone addiction positively, but impulsiveness influenced cellular phone addiction positively. In conclusion, it is important to intervene in adolescents' cellular phone addiction through special education programs and counseling to build adolescents' emotional bonding with parents and to reduce impulsiveness.

권위적 부모역할 수행은 아동의 사회적 적응을 위한 최선의 양육방법인가? 서구와 아시아 문화 및 사회적 행동에 따른 재고 (Is Authoritative Parenting the Best for Children's Social Adjustment? Reconsideration Based on Western and Asian Cultures, and Social Behaviors)

  • The purpose of this study was to review the importance of authoritative parenting for children's social adjustment. From the review it was suggested that the importance of authoritative parenting might be different according to the cultural contexts, which are Western and Asian cultures, and aggressive and social withdrawal behaviors. From the comparative cultural viewpoint, authoritarian parenting is not considered negatively by Asian parents, comparing with Western parents. Therefore the assumption that authoritative parenting has universal positiveness and authoritarian parenting has universal negativeness should be reconsidered. Regardless of cultures, children's aggressive behavior was related to the authoritarian parenting positively. But, in Asia, especially in China, the social withdrawal did not show at least negative relation with authoritative parenting. And it was reported that the authoritarian parenting could contribute to the change of inhibited behavior and enhancing the social adjustment. In addition, some implications were suggested for future researches about the relation between children's social adjustment and child rearing practices. Though this literature review was not exclusively based on the empirical studies, it would be valuable for reconsidering the perspective of Korean developmentalists interested in the relation between parenting and children's development in Korean culture.

개인변인과 환경변인이 아동의 문제행동에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Individual and Environmental Variables on Children's Problem Behavior)

  • Data were collected from 392 4th and 6th grade students by questionnaires and analyzed by Pearson's correlation, ANOVA and multiple regression analysis. More problem behavior was reported by 4th than by 6th graders and by boys than by girls; the gender difference was larger in 4th than 6th graders. Low school satisfaction, authoritative parenting, male gender, and higher age predicted problem behavior. Within group variables that predicted problem behavior were low authoritative parenting, low school satisfaction. Male gender, and low self-control in the 4th graders ; low self-control and school satisfaction in the 6th graders; low authoritative parenting and school satisfaction in girls ; and low school satisfaction, higher age, and low self-control in boys.

미취학아동에서의 부모의 양육방식과 치아 우식 간의 상관 관계 (Association between Parenting Styles and Dental Caries in Preschool Children)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 3세에서 6세 사이의 한국 어린이를 대상으로 치아 우식과 부모의 양육방식 간의 상관 관계에 대해 평가하는 것이다. 3세에서 6세 사이의 어린이 158명과 그들의 부모를 대상으로 시행하였다. 부모의 양육방식은 권위있는 부모, 권위주의적인 부모, 허용적인 부모로 3가지로 분류할 수 있으며, Parenting Styles and Dimensions Questionnaire(PSDQ)를 번안하여 부모의 양육방식을 평가하는데 척도로써 사용하였다. 353명의 부모와 자녀 중 158개의 설문지가 완성되었고, 권위있는 부모가 95.6%로 대다수를 이루었으며 권위주의적인 부모가 3.8%, 허용적인 부모가 0.6%를 차지하였다. 부모의 양육방식과 치아 우식과의 관계는 통계학적으로 유의하지 않았다. 권위있는 양육방식에서의 평균 dft index 값이 다른 그룹에 비해 낮은 결과를 보였다. 권위있는 양육방식의 하위척도들에 따른 dft index를 비교하였을 때, 권위있는 경향 정도가 증가할수록 dft index가 감소하였다. 권위있는 양육방식의 자녀에서 우식 경험률이 낮게 나왔다. 또한 권위있는 경향이 강해질수록 자녀의 우식 경험률이 낮아졌다. 따라서 부모의 양육방식이 자녀의 구강 건강에 영향을 미칠 수 있기에 치과의사는 부모의 양육방식의 중요성을 인지하고 이에 대해 지도하는 역할을 수행해야 할 것이다.

교전수준 어뢰체계 표준모델 개발 방안 연구 (On the Development of Authoritative Representations of Torpedo Systems for Engagement Level Simulation)

  • 무기체계의 개념설계 단계에서부터 체계 사양 도출 및 관 요구분석의 효과적인 수행을 위한 교전수준(Engagement Level)의 M&S(Modeling & Simulation) 적용을 위해 수중무기체계인 어뢰체계의 표준모델을 구성하였다. 추후 수중 교전 시뮬레이션에 공통적으로 사용될 수 있도록 재사용성(Reusability)과 상호운용성(Interoperability) 및 공학 모델로의 확장성을 고려하였다. 어뢰체계의 표준에 대하여 모델의 WBS(Work Breakdown Structure)를 정의하고 각 하부 모델들 사이의 정보 흐름을 구체화하여 모델간의 입력 및 출력 파라미터를 정의하였다. 어뢰 모델링은 WBS의 하부 모델 중에서 초기입력 장치, 수중운동, 전투탄두, 음향탐지, 유도제어, 추진동력에 대해서 모델링 하였으며, 중어뢰와 경어뢰의 운용상의 차이점을 구분하여 모델링하였다. 표준모델은 가능한 공학 수준 M&S와 동일한 구조를 갖도록 하였으며 앞으로 정립될 V&V(Verification & Validation) 절차에 따라 교전 시뮬레이션에 사용될 다른 체계들과 검증될 것이다.

진본성, 신뢰성 개념을 적용한 공신력 있는 기록의 판단기준에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Judgment of Authoritative Records by Applying the Concept of Authenticity and Reliability)

  • 이 연구에서는 공신력 있는 기록이 가져야 할 품질 중 진본성과 신뢰성의 개념을 분석하여 이를 실제 법적으로 관리해야 할 공신력 있는 기록의 판단 기준에 적용해 보고자 하였다. 신뢰성은 기록의 생산단계에서의 완전성과 통제의 정도에 의해 확보되는 품질인 반면, 진본성은 기록의 생산이 종료된 이후 발생하는 조작, 변조 등을 방지함으로써 보장 가능한 품질이라 할 수 있다. 공공기록물법상 기록의 정의는 매우 포괄적이므로 법률에서 대상으로 하는 기록과 현실 속에서 실제 생산되는 기록 사이에는 차이가 존재한다. 생산단계에서 신뢰성이 확보된 기록은 공신력 있는 기록으로 생산된 것이므로 이러한 기록이 함부로 폐기되었을 때에는 처벌의 대상이 될 수 있다. 따라서 기록이 획득되기 이전부터 통제된 절차와 방식에 의해 완결성 있는 형태로 기록이 생산되어 신뢰성을 확보하고, 생산 이후 지속적으로 진본성이 보장될 수 있도록 하는 적극적 조치가 필요하다. 다만, 그러한 증거능력이나 4대 속성을 갖추지 못했다고 해서 그것이 기록이 아닌 것은 아니며, 그러한 기록역시 현실에서 생산되고, 시스템에서 관리되며, 사회적 기억의 담지물과 활동의 재현물로서 다음 세대에 지속적으로 전달된다.

The Effects of Mother's Parenting Practices on Child's Overall Well-Being and the Mediating Effect of Self-Esteem

Research design, data, and methodology: Data from the 10th and 13th waves of the Korean Child Study Panel were used for the study, and data from 1,213 mothers and child were analyzed using SPSS 28.0 and the R statistical program. Results: First, in the relationship between the mother's parenting practices, the child's self-esteem, and well-being, the mother's authoritative parenting practices were positively correlated with the child's self-esteem and well-being. Second, the mother's authoritative parenting practices in preschool directly influenced the child's self-esteem in late school, and the child's self-esteem directly influenced the child's well-being. Third, mothers' authoritative parenting practices in the preschool years had a static effect on child's Well-being through the mediation of child's Self-Esteem in the late school years. The direct mediation effect of the Child's Self-Esteem was confirmed. Conclusions: To promote child's Well-being, mothers should adopt authoritative parenting practices with affection and control and try to improve child's self-esteem. In addition, programs that focus on improving child's self-esteem can be expected to enhance school-aged child's well-being.
