  • As the occupational education in junior college is being searched to be connected to practical industrial settings at present, importance of field placement is now being heightened. Industrial field experience shall be developed as the work can be performed in the practical site based on the generally comprehensive contents through the applicable educational course rather than simply independent educational course. Furthermore, characteristics of the applicable major shall be reflected in the field placement to be connected to the industrial field experience so that image promotion of the major and other additional value of the major can be effectively operated. However, it is practical situation that most of the field placements are being operated separately from connection and characterization of the educational curriculum in spite of the variety of the industrial field experiences and works in the field sites. Thus, the author of the thesis would analyze practical cases of the industrial field experiences in the past and grasp the problems of them so that we can develop models of the industrial field experiences proper for characteristics of fashion related departments. Especially, through the study the author of the thesis has developed the practical educational model where the fashion majoring educational courses can be connected with the field placement in the school industry in which the practical environment is established as in the applicable industry. • Statement of responsibility in bibliographical records plays a key role in clarifying intellectual responsibility of the work, and it also plays a role in making up access points. However, cataloging rules for the statement of responsibility mostly deal with the distinction between the principal role and minor roles. This becomes a problem because the responsibility type itself is more important than the order of the types. For this reason, in this paper I will explore improvements of the description methods of statement of responsibility by organizing the role indicators. Namely, using the role indicators more effectively than the current description methods do, we can collocate the dispersed statements of responsibilities. The role indicators can also be used for an author facet in information retrieval and can provide additional information for authority control.

The subjects for this study were 50 patients with chronic mental illnesses receiving out-patient treatment at one general hospital and one private hospital in Seoul. The data were collected during the period from April 25, 1991 to May 27, 1991. The perceived family support was measured by the Family Support Scale developed by Hyun Sook Kang. A questionnaire which was developed by Weissman was modified by the author of this study to measure the Social Adjustment. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics and Pearson Correlation Coefficients, using the SPSS program. The results of this study can be summarized as following ; 1) For the perceived family support, the mean was 2.63 points and the source of family support was almost always the mother. 2) For the social adjustment level, the mean was 2.62 points, and the results showed the best social adjustment was in the area of parental role and family adjustment, and the poorer adjustment was in the area of work and leisure. 3) The relationship between the perceived family support and social adjustment revealed a significant correlation.(r=.38, p<.05) Therefore the hypothesis “the higher the level of perceived family support, the higher the social adjustment level” was accepted. In conclusion, the study revealed that family support is an important factor related to the social adjustment level in patients with chronic mental illnesses.

  • Cement paste is originally the basic material and crucial factor consisting concrete. This study investigates the relationship between flow apparatuses, which are ring flow(R-F), flow cone(F-C) and mini slump(M-S), in order to estimate the fluidity of cement Paste. For quantitatively evaluating the measured data this study also investigated the calibration of the rheology consistent, such as yield value and plastic viscosity, of cement paste using viscometer For this purpose the present work discussed the influence of 3 type of ordinary portland cement with different companies, affecting the fluidity of cement paste. and it also demonstrated the influence of the various kinds of mineral admixtures, such as fly ash(FA), blast furnace slag(BS) and silica fume(SF) and that of incorporating ratio. The author concluded that using R-F apparatus is the most effective flow test method of cement paste and it is exactly proportional to other apparatus' rheological properties.

  • In this study, analysis of the cultural effects on design expressions and comparative analysis of designers' cultural background on their expression methods were implemented. The purpose of this study is to help the professionals and learners who pursue towards cultural designs in the design field utilize this research work as reference data and academic materials, and to contribute to the development of designs in the Eastern cultures. The author compared the differences between the viewpoints depending on background, either the Eastern or the Western culture, based on the existing studies and literatures, and analyzed the relationship between the viewpoints and expressions. Also, analyses of the expression methods related with cultural viewpoints and design viewpoints were conducted, especially with analysis of works of Uchida Shigeru from the East and Berner Panton from the West. Although both of their works were produced contemporarily and expressed with similar techniques, each of the conceptual approaches to their works represents different characteristics of the cultural viewpoint. Such a finding suggests that the approach to the design process should take place in a different way based on its cultural background, and it is accordingly required to seek for a new method for cultural design process.
