Design on Protection and Authentication System of IPTV Contents using HSI Watermark (HSI 워터마크를 이용한 IPTV 콘텐츠 보호 및 인증 시스템 설계)

  • While the broadband network and multimedia technologies have been developing, the commercial market of digital contents also has been widely spreading with recently starting IPTV. As the IPTV services are getting to be generalized and popularized, the contents illicit copying and distribution of copyright meterials tends to draw more attentions. So we need a right service system that can protect contents and copyright using watermark inserting. Until now, the conventional protection and authentication system is taking advantages of merits both in CAS and DRM. But this system can not protect the contents when acquiring them from TV output using A/D convertor. So we apply watermark method using HSI color space against contents illicit copying. And for distribution of copyright materials. we compound unique settop ID and copyrighter's ID to make new ID that is watermark. When inserting watermark, we use the watermark for copyright protection and authentication. So we can protect copyright and identify last settop's user in illicit distribution. we design download based IPTV contents protection and authentication system using HSI watermark method.

A Study for a Secure User Authentication System on Multi-Screen Services (멀티-스크린 환경에서 안전한 사용자 인증시스템에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, request of IPTV was increase. It is a multi-screen service by used TV, PC, and smart-phones. Especially, IPTV and smart-phone linked multi-screen service are very growth by user's recommends. Now, IPTV have a security service partial and multi-screen service. But smart-phone and multi-screen service don't have security service. And authentication service for smart-phone and IPTV linked multi-screen service is don't.. Therefore, We propose that user authentication system for multi-screen service with IPTV and multi-device linked authentcation services. Our proposed system base on Kerberos, so proposal is easy and fast about user authentication. This have simple procedures and more secure services against of PKI. So, our system can support secure multi-screen services against various security threats in multi-screen environments.

  • In the case of the password-based PKI technology, because it protects by using the password which is easy that user memorizes the private key, he has the problem about the password exposure. In addition, in the system of electronic bidding, the illegal use using the authentic certificate of the others increases. Recently, in order to solve this problem, the research about the PKI technology using the biometrics is actively progressed. If the bio information which the user inputs for the bio authentication is converted to the template, the digest access authentication in which the security is strengthened than the existing authentication technology can be built. Therefore, in this paper, we had designed and developed the system of electronic bidding which it uses the most widely used fingerprint information in the biometrics, it stores the user fingerprint information and certificate in the fingerprint security token and can authenticate the user. In case of using the system of electronic bidding of the public key infrastructure using the fingerprint information proposed in this paper the agent bid problem that it uses the certificate of the others in not only user authentication intensification but also system of electronic bidding can be concluded.

  • Recently, the development of cloud computing technology is developed as soon as smartphones is increases, and increased that users want to receive big data service. Hadoop framework of the big data service is provided to hadoop file system and hadoop mapreduce supported by data-intensive distributed applications. But, smpartphone service using hadoop system is a very vulnerable state to data authentication. In this paper, we propose a initial authentication protocol of hadoop system assisted by smartphone service. Proposed protocol is combine symmetric key cryptography techniques with ECC algorithm in order to support the secure multiple data processing systems. In particular, the proposed protocol to access the system by the user Hadoop when processing data, the initial authentication key and the symmetric key instead of the elliptic curve by using the public key-based security is improved.

  • The user authentication service can be used to prevent telecommunications piracy and to demand reliable payment from subscriber. Over the last few years several of the cryptographic systems being used by the IS-41 North American Mobile telephones have been broken. These algorithms included ORYX, CMEA and CAVE. The process of replacing these algorithms is already underway. In this paper we designed a hash function and applied it to the authentication algorithm of IS-95A authentication system. We also analyzed the randomness properties of designed algorithm using statistical analysis and simulated the validity of this algorithm using C programming language.

  • The biometrics of iris is a very accurate authentication method. The biometrics of iris can recognize and identify a person for shortly. But the image of iris is changed by transformation of body in the life. The existing iris authentication system has problem that can be mis-recognized. In this paper, we proposed and implemented Renewable Iris Authentication Algorithm(RIAA) for biometrics in authentication system. This algorithm tries to present a new way to people identification, we show contour line when shift take photograph in regular side. Namely, it generate iris code based on boundary of projection or submergence side and compared to original, so that it describes iris identification method to people identification.

A Design of RFID Mutual Authentication System based on Open Channel (공개 채널 기반의 RFID 상호인증 시스템 설계)

  • General RFID system has assumed that the communication channel between reader and back-end database is secure channel. However, the reader can be communicated with the database through insecure channel like the communication channel between the reader and the tag according to application environment. In this paper, we propose a new secure RFID mutual authentication protocol based on open network channel which assumed that all communication channels between the database, the reader and the tag are insecure communication channels. The proposed protocol uses a secure one-way hash function to provide authentication and integrity against all communication messages which exchanged on the open channels. In addition, we designed that the proposed protocol can provide forward secrecy by performing the database and the tag update their old secret key with a new secret key after finished mutual authentication.

  • Mobile phones are the most common communication devices in history. For this reason, the number of mobile subscribers will increase dramatically in the future. Therefore, the determining the location of a mobile station will become more and more difficult. The mobile station must be authenticated to inform the network of its current location even when the user switches it on or when its location is changed. The most basic weakness in the GSM authentication protocol is the unilateral authentication process where the customer is verified by the system, yet the system is not confirmed by the customer. This creates numerous security issues, including powerlessness against man-in-the-middle attacks, vast bandwidth consumption between VLR and HLR, storage space overhead in VLR, and computation costs in VLR and HLR. In this paper, we propose a secure authentication mechanism based new mobility management method to improve the location management in the GSM network, which suffers from a lot off drawbacks, such as transmission cost and database overload. Numerical analysis is done for both conventional and modified versions and compared together. The numerical results show that our protocol scheme is more secure and that it reduces mobility management costs the most in the GSM network.

  • In an open network computing environment a host cannot to identity its users correctly to network services. In order to prevent this thing we present the design of a authentication scheme 솟 using the notion of rth -residuosity problem and discrete logarithm problem which is proposed by S. J. Park et al. The proposed scheme described here is efficient method for mutual authentication without leakage of users identity in mobile communication system that ensure user anonymity and untraceability.

  • Through the coronavirus pandemic, research on the use and advancement of blockchain-based decentralized identity authentication (Decentralized ID) technology is being actively conducted in various fields, centered on the central government, local governments, and private businesses. In this paper, we introduce the results of development based on Hyperledger Fabric to change the existing central server-based identity authentication to a decentralized one. These development results can strengthen the security and transparency of identity authentication systems for commercial purposes and provide stable services for user ID issuance, inquiry, and disposal. In addition, the decentralized identity authentication system verified performance results of DID creation of 262,000 rps and DID inquiry of 1,850 rps, DID VP creation of 200 rps, and DID VP inquiry of 220 rps or less through public authentication.
