  • This paper proposes a educational content display system based on spatial augmented reality with a multi-touch screen for effective learning with intuitive interaction. It is hardly expected that the existing display systems have major learning effects because the user-system interaction can only be achieved through buttons or switches, In contrast, the system proposed by this paper ensures more effective interaction through the user's movement, not through buttons or switches. This system uses a spatial augmented reality method to display images, thereby attracting the users' attention. In addition, it ensures the effective dissemination of information by providing visual images that are more realistic.

  • By the recent development of the mobile communication, the mobile devices like smart phones and tablet PCs, become extremely popular and the diverse augmented reality are embodied using them. In this paper, a 3D ship display system using mobile augmented reality was designed, and the drawing matching algorithm was embodied. And also, it is intended to provide the help to the active attraction of the shipbuilding orders.

  • Various services are created using mobile networks after mobile devices such as smart phones and tablet PCs are propagated rapidly. However, the contents of smart devices are not enough diversity because they depend on games and messaging services primarily.   • A variety of methods for indoor positioning systems have been underway to ensure the safety of emergency rescuers who are working in dangerous situations such as fire fighters. However, since most systems display locations of rescue workers in two-dimension (2D)-based maps, it is difficult for a commander located in the outside to recognize locations of rescuers inside the building intuitively. An augmented reality (AR)-based indoor positioning monitoring system can display locations of rescuer inside the building that can be seen by commanders to help intuitive recognition of positioning. To monitor AR-based indoor positioning, it is necessary to have an estimation technique of line of sight vector of observers. In the present study, an estimation technique of a line of sight vector using ultra-wide band tranceiver installed inside the indoor to trace locations is presented.

  • Augmented Reality (AR) technology has rapidly been applied to various application areas including e-learning and e-education. Focusing on the design and development of android tablet application, this study targeted to develop infant music education using AR technology. We used a tablet instead of personal computer because it is more easily accessible and more convenient. Our system allows infant users to play with teaching aids like blocks or puzzles to mimic musical play like game. The user sets the puzzle piece on the playground in front of the tablet and presses the play button. Then, the system extracts a region of interest among the images acquired by internal camera and separates the foreground image from the background image. The block recognition software analyzes, recognizes and shows the result using AR technology. In order to have reasonably working recognition ratio, we did experiments with more than 5,000 frames of actual playing scenarios. We found that the recognition rate can be secured up to 95%, when the threshold values are selected well using various condition parameters.

  • According to the analysis report of construction fall accident, situation not installed safety facilities caused the largest of disaster in temporary structure. Therefore, actionable measures will be needed identifying the installation of safety facilities immediately. In this study proposed plan by the safety facilities to effectively visualize, supervision can be easily for reduce fall accident. This system can be used BIM and augmented reality technology by combining in the field in real-time. Through this study, safety facilities management is improved and expected to prevent a accident.

3 Dimensional Augmented Reality Flight for Drones

  • Drones are controlled by the remote pilot from the ground stations using the radio control or autonomously following the pre-programmed flight plans. In this paper, we develop a method and an optimal path search system for providing 3D augmented reality flight (ARF) images for safe and efficient flight control of drones. The developed system consisted of the drone, the ground station and user terminals, and the optimal path search server. We use the Dijkstra algorithm to find the optimal path considering the drone information, flight information, environmental information, and flight mission. We generate a 3D augmented reality flight (ARF) image overlaid with the path information as well as the drone information and the flight information on the flight image received from the drone. The ARF image for adjusting the drone is generated by overlaying route information, drone information, flight information, and the like on the image captured by the drone.

  • This study suggest the development and application of the Interactive Design Toolkit as a participatory design method for general customer with the application of the Augmented Reality. The Toolkit is based on a PC-based image perception system and user can make virtual models and navigate in the virtual space by manipulating physical objects directly in real world. The toolkit can be used in the field of participatory design in systematically modularized and customizable design area including model house of apartment and system kitchen furniture. More improved design toolkit for enhancing reality and providing various Interaction method Is needed hereafter.

  • In this paper we formulate and solve a generalized $H^{\infty}$ control problem. The conventional formulation of $H^{\infty}$ problem has some constraints in application, e.g. it can not deal with the servo problem. This is due to the superfluous requirement of internal stability of the augmented system. In this paper, we alleviate the stability of the augmented system to admit pole-zero cancellation on the imaginary aids outside the feedback loop of G22 and K. After such generalization, the servo problem is naturally incorporated into the $H^{\infty}$ synthesis.is.

  • A method for designing a robust tracking controller for linear discrete systems is investigated. Only the observable variables are to be used in the controller synthesis. To insure the robustness, the system is augmented by a compensator at the output side. Then a feedback controller is designed using delayed values of the observable variables for the augmented system. The delay times are chosen to minimize the effect of measurement accuracy and/or noise.
