Recently, extending the local broadcasting and increasing lots of informations. The low-loss communication cable is required in proportion as frequency .The reason of transportation loss causes to using the high frequencies like hundreds of MHz or decades of GHz. For the low transportation loss. It is required the developing-technology of foaming and the high foamed insulator with the dielectric ratio of the nearest to 1. Therefor, there is the purpose of developing the insulating materials for the low dielectric ratio. Also it is important to measure the attenuation, which is one of the important parameters.sa the evaluation of transportation characteristic with frequency in the communication cable. In this paper, the result showed that the dielectric ratio(1.4) of the nearest to 1 and low attenuation with high frequency were very related to the transportation and reflection characteristics such as propagation velocity (82.27%). Delay time and voltage standing wave ratio(VSWR).
The environmental value of coastal vegetation has been widely recognized. Coastal vegetation such as reed forests and seaweed performs several useful functions, including maintaining water quality, supporting fish (and, thus, fisheries), protecting beaches and land from wave attack, stabilizing sea beds and providing scenic value. However, studies on the physical and numerical process of wave propagation, sediment transport and bathymetric change are few and far between compared to those on the hydrodynamic roles of coastal vegetation. In general, vegetation flourishing along the coastal areas attenuates the incident waves through momentum exchange between stagnated water mass in the vegetated area and rapid mass in the un-vegetated area. This study develops a numerical model for describing the wave attenuation and sediment transport in a wave channel in a vegetation area. By comparing these results, the effects of vegetation properties, wave properties and model parameters are clarified.

This paper presents a robust PID controller design technique using the concept of model matching method in the frequency domain. To design the robust PID controller satisfying disturbance attenuation and robust tracking property for a reference input, first an H$\infty$ controller satisfying given performance is designed using the H$\infty$ control method. And then, the parameters(proportional, integral, and derivative gains) of the robust PID controller are determined using the model matching at frequency domain. The proposed technique is applied to a position controller design of the web. The simulation results show that the proposed robust PID controller satisfies disturbance attenuation and tracking property.

A practical and effective semi-active on-off control law is developed for vibration attenuation of a natural, multi-degree-of-freedom suspension system, when its operational response mode is available. It does not need the accurate system parameters and dynamics of semi-active actuator. It reduces the total vibratory energy of the system including the work done by external disturbances and the maximum energy dissipation direction of the semi-active control device is tuned to the operational response mode of the structure. The effectiveness of the control law is illustrated with a three degree-of-freedom excavator cabin model.

Ultrasonic guided wave techniques have been widely used for long range nondestructive detection in tube-like structures. The present paper investigates the ultrasonic linear and nonlinear parameters for evaluating the thermal damage in aluminum pipe. Specimens were subjected to thermal loading. Flexible polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) comb transducers were used to generate and receive the ultrasonic waves. The second harmonic wave generation technique was used to check the material nonlinearity change after different heat loadings. The conventional linear ultrasonic approach based on attenuation was also used to evaluate the thermal damages in specimens. The results show that the proposed experimental setup is viable to assess the thermal damage in an aluminum pipe. The ultrasonic nonlinear parameter is a promising candidate for the prediction of micro-damages in a tube-like structure.
A new compact microstrip low-pass filter and its equivalent-circuit model are developed. The philosophy of the structure behind this novel microstrip low-pass filter is simple as it is composed of a pair of symmetrical parallel coupled-line and an open-stub. With this configuration, a finite attenuation pole near the stopband cutoff frequency is available and adjustable by simply tuning the circuit parameters. Furthermore, the rejection bandwidth of this type of low-pass filter can be extended. In order to validate the feasibility of the proposed design method, a low-pass filter based on a microstrip structure is designed, fabricated, and measured. Experimental results agree very well with the simulation and analytical results.

A design of 5th-order Elliptic OTA-C filter for operation at 4.2MHz is presented. the filter structure is composed entirely of five OTAs(Operational transoonductance Amplifiers), one buffer and seven capacitors. To prevent decreasing of frequency charaoteristios due to the parasitic effeots of OTA and buffer, the design considering of parasitic capacitance and finite resistane of OTA and fuffer is pertormed. As the result of the simulation using SPICE with $2{\mu}m$ CMOS parameters, The performances were found to be essentially within the specifications` less than 0.25dB passband attenuation, 30dB stopband attenuation and 4.2MHz cut-off frequency were satisfactorily obtained. The number of elements is also considerably reduced than other design methods.

The purpose of this study is to identify the dynamic characteristics of a motor-die in washing machine and provide quantitative design information needed for reduction of radiated sound from the motor-die. To perform the design analysis, dynamic characteristics are identified by motor-die modeling and the availability of model is verified by experimental modal analysis. Numerical approach using MSC/NASTRAN and SYSNOISE predicted sound attenuation effects according to the change of design parameters, such as thickness, concentrated mass and rib. The numerical results due to the rib attachment showed the significant noise attenuation effects over 15 dB in the frequency range of 450∼700 Hz.
