This study is focused on the levels of life satisfaction influenced by the socio-demographic characteristics, personal activities, personal support and psychological characteristics. We surveyed 504 future elderly people(age between 50 to 64) and the elderly(over 65). The results are as follows; First, future elderly people are more satisfied with their life than the elderly. Second, life satisfaction of the future elderly is rarely influenced by the social demographic characteristics. Whereas, life satisfaction of the elderly is more influenced by the socio-demographic characteristics rather than the personal activities. Supports from neighbors and psychological characteristics are more satisfying their lives. Thus, we should come up with new programs providing opportunities to attend various social activities to maximize their life satisfaction of the future elderly. For the elderly, we need systems to build social network for supports from neighbors and to provide more job opportunities and educating programs.

This study is intended to analyze the condition of management about the apartment houses in Israel. The subjects of the study were 32 house-committees who live in Jerusalem and Haifa, and who were interviewed by structured questionnaire from the 1st of April through the 30th of May 1997. The statistical methods used for the study were: frequency, percentage, mean, t-test and ANOVA by the SPSS for MS Windows Release 6.0 program. The main results of this study are as follows: 1) The most house-committee members were elected by the residents who attend the annual meeting. 2) The period of management of the committee was average of 4.1 years. 3) The tasks of the committee were to collect the management fee and make the contracts for cleaning and gardening for buildings. 4) The opinion about having the professional managers was negative. 5) The major issues of the committee were being supported by either the local authority or the other organizations which are related to housing management.

We Professional Engineers in Japan and Korea have decided to introduce the theme of 2003's convention after two bilateral talks. So we will discuss on the near future in the Northeast Asia. I will make a speech based on this concept. I am very glad to talk to everybody here. I have been participating in this congress, since 1985 and I have made friends with Korean PE s. I hope that I attend the congress until may age of 84 when the 50th congress would be held. The speech is based on my experience and I will speak frankly So, I was born In Seoul and brought up in Pusan on my childhood but I only understand "Hello everybody" "Thank you" "How much" "No problem" "I love you" in your own language. Fortunately Mr Chung Byung Sook helps me to make myself understood in Korean as a translator. Thank you.

This paper presents an application of optimization method for efficient operation in micro grid. For operational efficiency, the objective function in a diesel generator consists of the fuel cost function similar to the cost functions used for the conventional fossil-fuel generating plants. The wind turbine generator is modeled by the characteristics of variable output. The cost function of fuel cell plant considers the efficiency of fuel cell. Particle swarm optimization(PSO) and sequential quadratic programming(SQP) are used for solving the problem of microgrid system operation. Also, from the results this paper presents the way to attend power markets which can buy and sell power from upper lever grids by connecting a various generation resources to micro grid.

This survey intends to understand the opinion and status on preschool students' uniform wearing for the purpose of new style development. The results from this study will serve as an activator of related industry. The merit of uniform wearing in these students was recognized primarily as: (1) students can have pride in the schools they attend; (2) they need not worry about clothes to wear every morning. The disadvantage of uniform wearing derives from: (1) students' personality is hardly expressed by uniforms; (2) difficulty in uniform selection suitable for varying weather conditions. This disadvantage felt by their parents suggests the lack of personality expression and appropriate body temperature control. The most prevalent opinion for preference and future improvement points was the consideration of physical activity in children. This indicates that they prefer uniforms rendering minimal restriction on body movements. Other Improvement points stress the activity, uniform laundering and care, convenience in on and off, insulation, colors, design and durability.

This paper attempts to examine the effect of children's English stories on the development of Korean EFL primary school learners' listening and speaking competences and their motivation to learn English. This paper also discusses factors of English children's stories that make EFL learners' language learning efficient. Participants were 120 primary school students who attend one of the elementary schools in Chungnam province. They were randomly chosen and divided into two groups: experimental and control groups. In order to collect data, students' listening and speaking proficiency pre- and post-tests and the pre- and post-questionnaires regarding the participants' motivation to learn English were administered. The data were analyzed by ANOVA. The results indicate that the application of English children's stories to EFL learning settings can be an efficient way to improve EFL learners' listening and speaking competences and motivation to learn their target language. The findings of this study suggest that English children's stories provide language learners with interest, meaningful and authentic contexts and enjoyment. The pedagogical suggestion and implications are provided for EFL educators and teachers.

The purpose of this study is to examine how adolescent children's exposure experience of domestic violence influences their psycho-social maladjustment. The SPSS 10.0 for Windows was used to analyze data obtained through 589 adolescents who attend middle school in Gwangju area. Major findings are as follows: 1. Domestic violence exposure in adolescent children was considerably serious; 84.4% child abuse by parents, 66.0% witness of father-to-mother abuse. 2. Child abuse and wife abuse had close relation in occurrence and severity. 3. Internalizing problems, externalizing problems, and social competence of adolescents were different by the victim of child abuse, the witness of wife abuse, and the style of domestic violence exposure. 4. Domestic violence exposure had a positive impact on the adolescent children's psycho-social maladjustment.

The study aimed at conducting comparative analysis of employees' job satisfaction between Korean brand restaurant and foreign's in the food service industry, and suggesting useful human resource management. As a result, the survey showed several findings; The first, workers in the Korean brand restaurant have more satisfied than foreign brand restaurant employee overall. The second, expecially employees in the Korean brand company have higher pride and vision than those of Foreign brand company in the restaurant business. The third, service staffs in the both recognized very low in the working schedule, fairness of promotion, and wage. Some implications are as followed; The first, works as a one day manager or unit manager who is one of the best employees. The second, use education & training video to increasing the communication. The third, attend in the decision making to being a part of co' and giving a motivation.

This study focused on retraining programs for cuisiniers and drawing attention to the necessity of retraining and the new method of retraining for cuisiniers as a professional in a knowledge based society. Case study review and interviews followed by thorough review of related literatures were taken place to give suggestions and comments for the improvement of job performance enhance training for cuisiniers. Interviews were done with current participants and institutional trainers in March, 2008. Result from the interviews showed that retraining was really necessary. It was concluded that various retraining programs organized and developed by an association could be the solution. Methods of retraining can take formats of distance learning, classroom learning, and blended learning. However, working condition for most cuisiniers at present would allow them to squeeze some time off to attend higher education and most restaurant companies are not big enough to offer systematic job training on site or not stable enough to arrange replacement workers. It is therefore suggested to adopt a blended learning method and further study on this subject is highly recommended.

This study aims to understand the antecedents and consequences of flow experience in online movie information sharing behavior of young Chinese moviegoers residing in Korea to explore a potential market. We followed the Stimulus-Organism-Response (S-O-R) theory and flow theory approaches for developing measures of constructs and investigated previous related studies. This study collected 186 data from Chinses students who attend Korean university. Statistical analysis revealed that information seeking behavior and telepresence are related to online flow experience. In addition, the online flow experience affected consumer satisfaction and information sharing behavior. Flow experience also has been predicted the mediation effect between stimulus information seeking behavior, telepresence and satisfaction and information sharing behavior. Our research findings offer insights for marketers in the movie distribution business who are interested in a better understanding of the behaviors of Chinese moviegoers residing in Korea
