  • In this paper, we propose a framework of Transmission Control Protocol with Software Rejuvenation methodology, which is applicable for network system survivability. This method is utilized to improve the survivability because it can limit the damage caused by successful attacks. The main objectives are to detect intrusions in real time, to characterize attacks, and to survive in face of attacks. To counter act the attacks' attempts or intrusions, we perform the Software Rejuvenation methods such as killing the intruders' processes in their tracks, halting abuse before it happens, shutting down unauthorized connection, and responding and restarting in real time. These slogans will really frustrate and deter the attacks, as the attacker can't make their progress. This is the way of survivability to maximize the deterrence against an attack in the target environment. We address a framework to model and analyze the critical intrusion tolerance problems ahead of intrusion detection on Transmission Control Protocol (TCP).

  • We propose the model of Software Rejuvenation methodology, which is applicable for survivability. Software rejuvenation is a proactive fault management technique and being used in fault tolerant systems as a cost effective technique for dealing with software faults. Survivability focuses on delivery of essential services and preservation of essential assets, even systems are penetrated and compromised. Thus, our objective is to detect the intrusions in a real time and survive in face of such attacks. As we deterrent against an attack in a system level, the Intrusion tolerance could be maximized at the target environment. We address the optimal time to execute ad hoc software rejuvenation and we compute it by using the semi Markov process. This is one way that could be really frustrated and deterred the attacks, as the attacker can't make their progress. This Software Rejuvenation method can be very effective under the assumption of unknown attacks. In this paper, we compute the optimum time to perform an ad hoc Software Rejuvenation through intrusions.

  • VANET is an upcoming technology with an encouraging prospect as well as great challenges, specifically in its security. This paper intends to survey such probable attacks and the correlating detection mechanisms that are introduced in the literature. Accordingly, administering security and protecting the owner's privacy has become a primary argument in VANETs. To furnish stronger security and preserve privacy, one should recognize the various probable attacks on the network and the essence of their behavior. This paper presents a comprehensive survey on diversified attacks and the recommended unfolding by the various researchers which concentrate on security services and the corresponding countermeasures to make VANET communications more secure.

  • RFID System has an advantage that it need not touch an objects for identification of many objects. Because it is working through wireless communication. Also, So many objects can be identified with RFID System at once. However, although RFID System has convenience like above, it has serious privacy concern at the same time. If RFID System is working with an target object through wireless communication, other objects will respond to RFID System signal as well as a target object. Hence, RFID System can be easily exposed user privacy by attacker. In this paper, We propose RFID system authentication model in order to protecting user privacy and traking. Proposed RFID system is operating that not only server authenticate RFID reader but also RFID reader and tag authenticate mutually by using symetric cryptography that operating with tiny and simple processing.

  • It has been found that an attacker can extract the secret key embedded in a security device and recover the operation instruction using power consumption traces which are some kind of side channel information. Many profiling-based side channel attacks based on a deep learning model such as MLP(Multi-Layer Perceptron) method are recently researched. In this paper, we implemented a disassembler for operation instruction set used in the micro-controller AVR XMEGA128-D4. After measuring the template traces on each instruction, we automatically made the pre-processing process and classified the operation instruction set using a deep learning model CNN. As an experimental result, we showed that all instructions are classified with 87.5% accuracy and some core instructions used frequently in device operation are with 99.6% respectively.

  • Today, many enterprises have invested heavily for the part of information security in order to protect the internal critical information assets and the business agility. However, there is a big problem that big budget and too many manpower are needed to set the internal corporate network up to the same high level of defense for all of part. On the distributed enterprise networks in this paper, a defense model for effective and rapid response on the IP spoofing attack was designed to protect the enterprise network through the exchange of information between the trust hosts when an attacker attacked any target system using other trusted host.

  • Ascon is one of the final round candidates of the NIST lightweight cryptography contest, which has been underway since 2015, and supports hash modes Ascon-Hash and Ascon-Xof. In this paper, we develop a MILP model for collision attack on the Ascon-Hash and search for a differential trail that can be used in a quantum setting through the model. In addition, we present an algorithm that allows an attacker who can use a quantum computer to find a quantum free-start collision attack of 3-round Ascon-Hash using the discovered differential trail. This attack is meaningful in that it is the first to analyze a collision attack on Ascon-Hash in a quantum setting.

  • Recently, digital rights management (DRM) related researches are widely spreading with prosperity of IT industries. The DRM technology protects proprietor of copyright by preventing mischanneling and illegal copy. In this paper, we propose a new DRM model that has an enhanced and efficient protocol based on certificate using smart card. The proposed model overcomes weaknesses of WCDRM model and has following additional advantages: first, copy protection is enhanced by hiding user's specific information from attacker by storing the information within smart card; second, server load for contents encryption is reduced by making clear protocols among author, distributer, certificate authority, and users; third, offline user authentication is guaranteed by combining partial secret values in media players and smart card. Exposure of core information also is minimized by storing them in smart card. In addition, we show that the proposed system is more secure than WCDRM model by comparing various factors of anonymous attackers.

  • Security threats to information services are increasingly being developed, and the frequency and damage caused by security threats are also increasing. In particular, security threats occurring inside the organization are increasing significantly, and the size of the damage is also large. A zero trust model has been proposed as a way to improve such a security environment. In the zero trust model, a subject who has access to information resources is regarded as a malicious attacker. Subjects can access information resources after verification through identification and authentication processes. However, the initially proposed zero trust model basically focuses on the network and does not consider the security environment for systems or data. In this study, we proposed a zero trust-based access control mechanism that extends the existing zero trust model to the file system. As a result of the study, it was confirmed that the proposed file access control mechanism can be applied to implement the zero trust model.

  • Today's rapidly changing society can lead to maladaptive behaviors. In the situations, rehabilitation psychology analysis using the on-line test be needed to solve the problem. However, Internet-based rehabilitation psychology analysis by a malicious attacker may still be vulnerable to denial-of-service attacks. The service flooding attacks render the server incapable of providing its service to legitimate clients. Therefore the importance of implementing systems that prevent denial of service attacks and provide service to legitimate users cannot be overemphasized. In this paper, we propose a puzzle protocol which applies to authentication model. our gradually strengthening authentication model improves the availability and continuity of services and prevent denial of service attacks and we implement flooding of service tolerance system to verify the efficiency of our model. This system is expected to be ensure in the promotion of reliability.
