  • The purpose of this study was to examine: (1) relationships among mothers' attachment experience in childhood, mothers' personality characteristics, and parenting stress and parenting behavior; (2) whether mothers' personality characteristics mediate the relationship between mothers' attachment experience in childhood and parenting stress; and (3) whether mothers' personality characteristics mediate the relationship between mothers' attachment experience in childhood and parenting behavior. The subjects were 177 mothers with preschool children, and the data were collected with questionnaires. It was found that there are correlations among mothers' attachment experience in childhood, mothers' personality characteristics, parenting stress, and parenting behaviors(autonomy encouragement, and rejection). It was found that mothers' attachment experience in childhood predicts mothers' parenting stress, but the relationship is mediated by mothers' personality characteristics. It was also found that mothers' attachment experience in childhood predicts mothers' parenting behavior, but the relationship is mediated by mothers' personality characteristics.

  • This study defines Korean wave stars as Korean wave human brands and examines the influence of the characteristics, attachment, and self-congruity of the Korean wave human brand on brand equity. For this, this study surveyed Chinese female consumers in their 20s and 30s who consume many Korean wave products from May 2018 to June 2018. First, human brand characteristics, attachment, self-congruity, Korean wave aspiration level, and brand equity according to demographic characteristics were identified. Second, characteristics, attachment, self-congruity, and the aspiration level of the Korean wave human brand showed correlations with brand equity. However, brand awareness, a sub-factor of brand equity, does not show correlations with self-congruity. Third, characteristics, attachment, self-congruity, and Korean wave aspiration level had a positively influenced brand equity. Fourth, when looking into the mediated effect of attachment on brand equity, both human brand characteristics and self-congruity showed a partially mediated effect. Fifth, when analyzing the adjustment effect in the Korean wave aspiration level, a group with higher Korean wave aspiration level showed more correlations with attachment and brand equity. This study found that attachment and self congruity are important elements in forming human brand and brand equity. This study is significant in that it verified the influence of Korean wave brand power that has been on the rise recently on brand equity and provided a theoretical basis that has allowed researchers to determine that the characteristics, attachment, and self-congruity of Korean wave human brand significantly influence brand equity.

  • The attachment of Korean infants with their mothers was analyzed by individual attachment and interaction behaviors. The Strange Situation was used with 35 12- 18-month-old infants. Results were similar to the findings of Ainsworth et al(l978), in that exploratory and attachment behavior systems of Korean infants changed depending on separation with their mothers. Then again we could discover the orginal attachment characteristics of Korean infants. Korean infants showed meaningful differences in individual attachment and interaction behaviors from the second separation(episode 6), and the difference between attachnet type were also definite from the second separation. Also, the recovery of exploratory behavior from episode 7 with the advent of a stranger was a distinguishable characteristic compared to Ainsworth et al(l978). This empirical evidence mandates the inclusion of episodes 6 in future studies on attachment of Korean infants.

  • The rapidly evolving social platform marketing landscape has led businesses to increasingly rely on social platform influencers for brand and service promotion. Despite growing interest in these influencers, there remains a dearth of empirical research examining the impact of their characteristics on consumer attachment and brand loyalty. This study, therefore, investigates the relationships between social platform influencer characteristics, consumer attachment, and brand loyalty. An online survey targeting Chinese consumers was conducted, and a total of 360 responses were analyzed using SPSS and AMOS software. The findings reveal that among the various social platform influencer characteristics, reliability, professionalism, and intimacy significantly influence consumer attachment. Furthermore, it was confirmed that higher attachment to a social platform influencer leads to increased brand loyalty.

  • This study was conducted to find out the paternal attachment to neonate, and to identify factors affecting paternal attachment. The purpose was to make the base data for nursing intervention to improve paternal attachment. The subjects of this study were 93 fathers whose partners have delivered normal neonate in 1 hospital in Busan. Data were collected from Sep. 1th to Oct. 31th 2005 by a self-report questionnaire. The instrument for this study was based on 7 kinds of characteristics of paternal attachment by Greenberg & Morris(1974), and modified by researchers. The statistical methods for data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA with SPSS program Ver 10. The conclusions are as follows. Fathers had the high degree of paternal attachment to neonate. But, there were not significant correlations between paternal attachment and the father's demographic characteristics, pregnancy plan, delivery pattern, delivery order, sex of neonate and past experience. Also there were not significant correlations between paternal attachment and early visual contact frequency of father-neonate. Further research about factors affecting paternal attachment to neonate and high risk neonate as well as low birth weight neonate is required.

  • The effect of bio-logger tagging location on blood characteristics and bio-logger attachment efficiency in spotted sea bass (mean body weight 2356.7 g) was investigated. The fish were tagged at four different tagging locations: no-tag (control), operculum attachment (OA), dorsal muscle attachment (DA), and cauda peduncle muscle attachment (CA). The blood properties and bio-logger attachment efficiencies were examined on days 1, 7, 14, and 35 after tagging the bio-logger at each tagging location. During the experimental periods, the concentrations of hematocrit and hemoglobin in whole blood, and GOT (glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase), GPT (glutamic pyruvic transaminase), total protein (TP), glucose, total cholesterol, cortisol, and superoxide dismutase in plasma were not affected by the attachment location of the bio-logger, however, the TP concentration was significantly lower in OA than in the control group on day 7. After tagging for 35 days, the efficiencies of bio-logger attachment in the OA, DA, and CA after tagging for 35 days were 33.3%, 100.0%, and 33.3%, respectively. These results indicate that, in our experimental condition, the most appropriate bio-logger attachment location is DA, providing basic information on bio-logger utilization methods for ecological and biological biotelemetry surveys of the spotted sea bass.

  • This research addressed the issue of how mothers' representations of attachment are transmitted to children, focusing on post-infancy attachment and on maternal stress as a mediator between mother's attachment style and child attachment security. Fifty-three mother-child dyads participated in a lab visit when the children were 30 months (T1) and 49 months (T2) of age. The Attachment Style Questionnaire and the Parental Stress Inventory were used to measure mothers' characteristics; the Separation-Reunion procedure and classification at T1 and the Attachment Q-set at T2 were used to measure children's attachment security. The models were analyzed by Analysis of Moment Structure Equation. Results confirmed evidence that no direct pathway exists between maternal attachment style and child attachment security : at T1 child attachment security formation was related to maternal stress, but there was no such relationship at T2.
