We experienced a case of an athlete with a painful mass on the distal peroneal musculature after sports activity, and diagnosed as the entrapment syndrome of superficial peroneal nerve. We treated the case with the mini-open and subcutaneous fasciotomy to release the entrapped peroneal nerve. We report the case with a review of the literature.

This study was carried out to develop a computerized menu planning for athletes who need weight control. The outine of the computer lprogram for menu planing that was developed in this study are as follows: First of all, the athlete's weight to be lost/controlled, age, sex and quantity of daily activity were put into the computer. When an individual file was formed, an ordered menu formulated to control the necessary quantity of nutrients were sufficient. The software is planned according to the sturcture of the menu which can be chosen at random. Also, it was made possible to change the menu according to one's preference. Therefore, this was similar to the manmachine system which is desirable form in using the computer. The developed software could be used not only for athletes but also for a nutrition councelling program for those who need weight control.

제1늑골의 피로골절은 드물다. 반복되는 근육수축으로 인한 뼈의 피로가 골절의 원인이라고 생각된다. 자세한 병력 조사와 컴퓨터 단층 촬영 및 전자기 공명영상 등으로 진단할 수 있다. 진통제 등 보존적 요법으로 치료한다. 농구를 취미로 하는 18세 남자 대학생 환자에서 운동연습으로 인한 제1늑골의 피로골절을 경험하였기에 문헌 고찰과 함께 이에 보고한다.

투수의 견관절은 관절의 가동성과 안정성 사이에서 섬세한 균형이 요구된다. 이 균형은 쉽게 깨질 수 있어 손상으로 진행하게 된다. 성공적인 비수술적 치료의 제 1단계는 정확한 진단적 접근이다. 잘 설정되고 여러 단계에 걸친 방법으로 접근하는 재활을 시행함으로써 통증을 유발하는 염증 상태 개선 및 근육의 균형을 회복 관절의 유연성을 개선하고, 고유수용체 감각과 신경 근육 조절 능력을 개선하게 되어 효과적으로 운동 선수를 복귀시켜 줄 것이다. 이 글에서는 던지기 선수의 근골격계의 특이한 형태 변화와 특정 손상에 대한 다양한 형태의 재활 프로그램을 소개하고자 한다.

Korean folk medicine 'Man Byung Cho' has been used to cure abdominal pain, athlete's foot and neuralgia. The botanical origin of the crude drug has never been studied pharmacognostically. To clarify the botanical origin of 'Man Byung Cho', the leaf morphology and anatomy were examined for the Korean species of Rhododendron subgenus Hymenanthes, such as R. brachycarpum G. Don, R. brachycarpum var. rosueum Koidz. and R. aureum Georgi. The study shows that 'Man Byung Cho' is the leaf of R. brachycarpum and R. brachycarpum var. roseum.

The technology of gait analysis is moving rapidly. Human gait is very complex, and a through understanding of it demands with the basic principles of biomechanics and the technology used to measure gait. Some professionals reluctance to use gait analysis may be due to the amount of time and effort necessary to accomplish this and the necessity for teamwork among the disciplines involved. Any form of observational gait analysis has limited precision and is more descriptive than quantative. The techniques of 3-D kinetic and kinematic analysis can provide a detailed biomechanical description of normal and pathological gait. This article review gait characteristics and procedures that are available for gait analysis. We are certain that, given the steady advance of technology and our continued efforts to document the benefits of that technology. gait analysis will soon be a routine part of the evaluation of both the elite athlete and the physically impaired adult or child.

The mouth guard is a device with elasticity to be installed in the oral cavity. It has a function to reduce the trauma in the oral cavity and to protect the teeth and surrounding tissues from trauma. The purpose of mouth guard is to prevent trauma and concussion. It is mandatory to wear a mouthguard in sports where there is a lot of contact and the possibility of trauma or concussion in the mouth area is high. The mouse guard is divided into a stock type, a mouth formed type, and a custom made type according to the manufacturing method. The custom made type is made on the individual dentition model and has excellent retention because of its excellent fit. Also, the effect of trauma prevention is excellent. It is possible to design and adjust by the dentist and reduce the complaint the athlete has about the mouthguard. In this article, the process of making a dentist-customized mouthguard was described.

Polygonum cuspidatum which is widely distributed in Korea has been used as treatments of dermatitis, gonorrhea, favus athlete's foot, hyperlipidemia and inflammation in traditional medicine. We examined anti-oxidant and antiinflammatory activity by measuring DPPH radical scavenging activity and the inhibition of IFN-${\gamma}$ and LPS-induced NO production in RAW 264.7 murine macrophage cells. We isolated and characterized resveratrol (1), trans-resveratrol 3-O-${\beta}$-Dglucopyranoside (2). Compounds 1 and 2 showed potent activities compared with L-NMMA ($N^G$-monomethyl-L-arginine). These results suggested that the stilbene compounds isolated from Polygonum cuspidatum might be used as antiinflammatory agents.

The present study aimed to investigate rapid weight loss (RWL) and consequent physical and psychological challenges among judo athletes at the national athlete training center in 2017. The following results were obtained. Judo athletes used weight loss methods such as "gradually reduce meal portion," "skip meals," "limit water intake," "wear sweat suit for training," and "use sauna," and had physical and mental distress from such unhealthy weight management practices. Information about weight loss was obtained from "colleagues or senior athletes," "Internet," and "head coach or coach," and not experts such as nutritionists or physicians. Thus, athletes are recommended to employ healthy weight control methods based on advice from experts, such as nutritionists and physicians.

웹 서비스는 벤더들에 따라 다르게 사용되던 시스템들을 표준 기술인 XML과 SOAP를 이용하여 통합할 수 있게 해주었다. 이러한 웹 서비스 시스템에서는 다양한 시스템들과 통합을 제공하기 위한 많은 처리 로직이 필요하기 때문에 시스템이 복잡해진다는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해서 CBD 방법론을 사용하며, 웹 서비스를 이용한 플랫폼에 독립적인 시스템을 설계 및 구현 한다. 제안한 방법이 효율적임을 보이기 위해 운동선수 관리 시스템을 모델로 설계 및 구현한다. 제안한 방법을 이용하여 구현한 시스템은 플랫폼 및 프로그램 언어에 독립적으로 구축이 가능하게 되었고, 시스템의 중요 부분을 컴포넌트로 제작하여 관리 및 유지보수의 효용성을 가져왔다.
