This study shows the possible use of the Poisson process for the characterization of dry year return period and duration. For the analysis we used an annual precipitation data, which has been collected since 1911 in Seoul. The highest threshold for the application of the Poisson process was determined to be the mean-0.5standard deviation, and then the results from the Poisson process are compared with the observed. Especially, the Poisson process was found to reproduce the mean duration and return interval quite well and show the possibility of using the Poisson process for the drought analysis.

The Purpose of this study was to explore the relation between the marital process of completion and marital satisfaction. The Data was collected by in_depth personal interview. Fifteen respondents who had been remarried for over 5 years were chosen by a researcher independently from a province in South Korea and comprised 8 females(over 55 ages) and 7 males(over 60 ages ). The Results were as fellows: 1. The Remarriage process of completion was an important process for arranging a marriage with a partner. This process was reached through the remarriage motive of the remarried person who was chosen by introduction of a family member or a friend and through meeting with a familiar friend. The factors were remarriage motive, meeting with a spouse, children's response about remarriage, and remarriage decision. 2. The success of the marital process of completion depended on a support from families and friends in order to develop their conjugal relation. Therefore conjugal relation was an important relation in marital satisfaction. Particularly, the parents-child relation, relation between a stepbrother and stepsister, and social support for remarried persons were important relations in their marital satisfaction.

The objective of this study is the development of size discrete optimum design algorithm which is based on the GAs(genetic algorithms). The algorithm can perform size discrete optimum designs of space trusses. The developed algorithm was implemented in a computer program. For the optimum design, the objective function is the weight of space trusses and the constraints are limite state design codes(1998) and displacements. The basic search method for the optimum design is the GAs. The algorithm is known to be very efficient for the discrete optimization. This study solves the problem by introducing the GAs. The GAs consists of genetic process and evolutionary process. The genetic process selects the next design points based on the survivability of the current design points. The evolutionary process evaluates the survivability of the design points selected from the genetic process. In the genetic process of the simple GAs, there are three basic operators: reproduction, cross-over, and mutation operators. The efficiency and validity of the developed discrete optimum design algorithm was verified by applying GAs to optimum design examples.

Recently, apartments have had several fundamental problems in planning uniformity caused by fixed space programs and difficulties of maintenance. So decision-makings become more important in design process which were essential to performance realization of long-life housing. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the plans of the Bogeumjari Nae-gok based on the applied designs, and suggests improvements for advanced design process of the long-life housing in the domestic market. This research procedure are as follows: (1) Analyze design guide, district land development plan and local code which have influence on design limitation. (2) Compare partial plans of joined designs and analyze each design characters (3) Implement case studies of design process due to design timetable and design elements of Nae-gok. In result, this study suggests significant fundamental materials for advanced decision-making in design process of long-life housing: details credibility and noise control, etc. This research could be useful in making integrated design process applied for long-life housing.

This study is for better understanding about the process of students' conceptual change. As a starting point, it is assumed that the process of students' conceptual change can be viewed as the process of the successive refinement and articulation of students' conceptual framework. Based on the theoretical review of conceptual change literature, various processes, which can be involved in the above assumed process, can be found. And also, by analyzing the process of development of scientific knowledge about Planck's blackbody radiation law and Bohr's atom, six types of processes of refinement and articulation of scientific knowledge can be found. It is hoped that these theoretical discussions can guide the direction for obtaining and interpreting the students' real responses during the process of conceptual change.

Data mining is the process of sorting through large amounts of data and picking out useful information. An important goal of data mining is to discover, define and determine the relationship between several variables. Association rule mining is an important research topic in data mining. An association rule technique finds the relation among each items in massive volume database. Association rule technique consists of two steps: finding frequent itemsets and then extracting interesting rules from the frequent itemsets. Some interestingness measures have been developed in association rule mining. Interestingness measures are useful in that it shows the causes for pruning uninteresting rules statistically or logically. This paper explores some problems for two interestingness measures, confidence and net confidence, and then propose a decision process for right association rule generation using these interestingness measures.

To survive in the ever-changing environment, organizations need to improve or innovate their business processes. As a result, to attain this objective, BPM (Business Process Management) concept is widely adopted in modern enterprises. BPM life cycle consists of diagnosis, design, implementation and enactment. Conventionally, diagnosis of business process within the BPM life cycle is usually conducted by manual methods such as interviews, questionnaires and direct observations of process. And (re)designing business processes is also usually done manually under supervision of business experts from scratch. It is time-consuming and error-prone tasks. The objective of this research is to integrate the diagnosis and (re)design phase of BPM life cycle by sharing automatically generated process model and basic statistics in the diagnosis phase based on the process mining method. Eventually, this approach will lead to automate the tasks of diagnosis and design of business process. To implement and to show the usefulness of the proposed framework, two case studies were conducted in this research.

The purpose of this study is to explore the application sphere of BPM(Business Process Management) to e-trade process using BPM technology and its service architecture in order to expand the usage of e-trade platform which is developing. After close reviewing the current status of trade process, the possibility of BPM application by e-trade process will be analyzed. The result of analysis is that BPM application to local L/C and purchasing confirmation process could be implemented because those processes are very suitable to apply standardized process and can minimize the risk and confusion of users. BPM application to remaining trade process have to be considered by mid-term and long-term project with the reflection of pilot project performance. Also this study suggests a business management model of e-trade process based on BPM technology which is the new IT technology and integrated interface in view of trade community.

This paper discusses the problem of extraordinary delay in the commercial arbitration process, increased arbitration fees, and denial of the benefits of arbitration to other parties due to the abuse of procedural rights by relevant parties in commercial arbitration process. This paper proposes measures to reduce abuse of process in commercial arbitration, such as statutory modification, judicial supervision, amendment of arbitration rules and the intervention of disciplinary bodies.
