Performance assessment was introduced to improvement of self-directed learning and method of assessment for differenced learning as the seventh educational curriculum is enforced. Performance assessment is overcoming limitation about problem solving ability and higher thinking abilities assessment that is problem of a written examination and get into the spotlight by way for quality of class and school normalization. But, performance assessment has problems about possibilities of assessment fault by appraisal, fairness, reliability, and validity of grading, ambiguity of grading standard, difficulty about objectivity security etc. This study proposes fuzzy performance assessment system to solve problem of the conventional performance assessment. This paper presented an objective and reliable performance assessment method through fuzzy reasoning, design fuzzy membership function and define fuzzy rule analyzing factor that influence in each sacred ground of performance assessment to account principle subject. Also, performance assessment item divides by formation estimation and subject estimation and designed membership function in proposed performance assessment method. Performance assessment result that is worked through fuzzy performance assessment system can pare down burden about appraisal's fault and provide fair and reliable assessment result through grading that have correct standard and consistency to students.

예비교사에게 요구되는 학생 평가 전문성은 평가방법을 선택하고, 평가도구를 개발하고, 평가를 실시하여 채점하고, 평가 결과를 분석하고 해석하고 활용하는 일련의 과정을 경험하고, 그것을 반성할 때 신장될 수 있다. 본 연구는 예비교사들을 대상으로 평가 과정 전반을 경험하는 실습과 학습 일지를 통한 반성을 경험하게 하여 이들의 평가 전문성 신장이 어떠한지 알아보았다. 학습일지는 예비교사의 평가 관련 지식, 학생과 교사의 이중적 입장, 평가 실행의 영역에서 분석되었고, 그 결과 이 세 가지 영역은 상호작용하며 예비교사의 전문성을 신장시키는 데 기여했으며, 각각의 영역은 예비교사의 평가 전문성을 구성하는 요소가 되었다. 그리고 예비교사의 평가 전문성 신장을 양적으로 확인한 결과, 사전 검사에 비해 사후 검사의 평균 점수가 신장되었다.

In this study, we investigated elementary and preservice elementary school teachers' actual and preferred types of science assessment focusing on the purpose and the method of assessment. Participants were 75 elementary school teachers and 93 preservice elementary school teachers. The questionnaire adopted from previous relevant studies was administerd in order to examine the types of assessment which the teachers have actually implemented and the preferred types of assessment for hypothetical situations known as the prototypical examples of constructivist assessment. The results revealed that most teachers and preservice teachers tend to possess the summative-oriented purpose of assessment. An affective assessment purpose focused on evaluating students' interest, attitude, and curiosity toward science was newly identified in this study. In analyzing teachers' responses from the viewpoint of the method of science assessment, responses of an informal mode such as observation and portfolio were noticeable. However, most of them were found to correspond to the traditional summative-oriented purpose of assessment. For prototypical constuctivist assessment situations, teachers and preservice teachers were found to prefer the performance and the informal modes than the measurement mode of the assessment methods, whereas their purposes of the assessment were not found to be constructivist.

The purpose of this study was to develop performance assessment materials of scientific inquiry skills on 62 scientific activities in elementary science textbook for third and fourth grades. For this study, a total of 318 elementary teachers were sampled and surveys were carried out to examine the status of performance assessment of scientific inquiry skills in school. The classification system of assessment methods by Hart(1994) was also analyzed to create assessment strategy of scientific inquiry skills for elementary school students. Based on the quantitative data analysis, literature study and existing performance assessment materials analysis, performance assessment materials were developed and applied to science classes for third and fourth grades. Teachers and students were interviewed after the classes for asking about merits and improvements and the performance assessment materials were revised.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to describe perception and performance of health assessment among clinical nurses. Methods: The sample of this study consisted of 177 staff nurses working at university affiliated hospitals and a self-report questionnaire was used to collect data. Data were analyzed with SPSS WIN 12.0 program. Results: The overall mean scores of perception and performance of health assessment were 3.67 and 1.71 respectively. There were no significant differences according to educational level, working department, and type of health assessment courses taken for perception of health assessment. The variable significantly affecting health assessment performance was the working department. There was a statistically significant correlation between perception and performance of health assessment. Conclusion: These findings suggest the need to develop a nursing education strategy to increase the performance of health assessment.

Since performance assessment was introduced in Korea in the middle of 1990, many problems which include its definition, characters, methods and scorings etc., raised in mathematics education worlds. Therefore this paper presents the theoretical background of performance assessment in mathematics education. Contemporary teaching and loaming theories reject stimulus-response theory which emphasizes outcome. Performance assessment emphasizes the assessment which reveal learning process and various strategies. And it bases on constructivism and socio-cultural perspective. This paper presents paradigms which guide the roles and purposes of assessment. The paradigms include conventional paradigm, constructivist paradigm and critical paradigm. There is a close correlation between constructivist paradigm and performance assessment. Assessment has to grasp the development of present and the possibility of development of future of the students. Performance assessment must be fixed the new paradigm of education for this purpose.

The aim of this study is to suggest the introduction of family impact analysis. Family impact analysis is needed to evaluate family policies from the family perspective. This study deals with the definition of family impact analysis and the cases of other impact analysis, such as gender impact assessment and employment impact analysis. In addition, this study suggests the introduction of family impact analysis with evaluation methods, evaluation indicators, and evaluation processes. Evaluation methods are divided into self-assessment and specific-assessment. Evaluation indicators need to be developed based on the family strength. This research also suggests the securing of family time as a basic assessment indicator. The evaluation processes consist of object selection, assessment, evaluation report, and policy improvement. Finally, this study suggests that family impact analysis is a strong strategy for promoting family-friendly policies. In order to introduce family impact analysis in a more systematic manner, further studies on the standards of assessment, formation of research institutions, and the legislative system will be necessary.

Because deterioration of air quality and urban heat island directly harm health of citizens, Health Impact Assessment (HIA) and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for urban development projects needs to conduct analysis of their impacts objectively. This study aims to review appropriate methods for assessment of air quality used at each stage of urban development and to investigate prediction and assessment methods of urban heat island. In addition, by evaluating impacts of climate change following supposed urban construction performed in the central area of Korea on public health, it examines usefulness of HIA for urban construction. When urban heat island prediction and HIA method suggested in this study are applied to an imaginary city, they predict urban heat island properly and the impacts of climate changes on public health inside the city could be determined clearly by calculating life-climate index and bio-climate index related with thermal environment from the model.
