PCB 조립 장비를 위한 거버 문자 인식 알고리즘 개발 (Development Character Recognition Algorithm in Gerber File for the PCB Assembly Machine)

  • This paper proposed character recognition method by using DB Matching and Artificial Neural Network at the Gerber files. Gerber files are file for make PCB. But we also use the file to a program of extraction PCB position data. If the Gerber file recognized a character, the extraction PCB position data will be faster and also when the recognition rate is high, it can be possible to automatic extraction. We apply to the construction PCB Gerber file program and Simulation results are presented to verify the usefulness of the method.

  • We present a method to increase the productivity of multihead-gantry chip mounters for PCB assembly lines. To minimize the assembly time, we generate the mount sequence using the genetic algorithm. The chromosome, fitness function, and operators are newly defined to apply the algorithm. Simulation results are presented to verified the usefulness of the method.

  • We propose a new optimization method to improve the productivity of dispenser machines in PCB assembly lines. The optimization problem for multi-nozzle dispensers is formulated as a variant TSP. A genetic algorithm is applied to the problem to get a near-optimal solution. Chromosome and some operator are newly defined to implement the genetic algorithm for multi-nozzle dispensers. Simulation results are then presented to verify the usefulness of the method.

  • The HANARO, multi-purpose research reactor, 30 MWth open-tank-in-pool type, is under 24 MWth of power operation since it reached to the initial critical in February, 1995. Many useful experiments should be safely performed to activate the utilization of the HANARO, but there is a radioactive risk of using the HANARO. To reduce the risk, a test facility, which is not reacted by nuclear fuel, is being developed to simulate similar flow characteristics with the HANARO. This paper describes the computational flow analysis to determine each shape of simulating fuels for simulating the flow similarities of 36 elements hexagonal fuels assembly and 18 elements circulating fuels assembly loaded in HANARO. The shares of orifices were determined by the trial and error method and the structural integrities of them were verified by the finite element method assuming that the flow rate and pressure differences of reactor core are constant. The analysis results will be verified with the results of the flow test to be performed after the installation of this test facility.

가상현실 기술을 이용한 가상 조립 시뮬레이션에 대한 연구 (A Study on Virtual Assembly Simulation Using Virtual Reality Technology)

  • 인간의 손은 현실의 사물과 인터랙션하는 가장 직접적이고 자연스러운 인터페이스라고 할 수 있으나, 가상 환경에서는 인간 손 관절체의 높은 자유도와 관련 인터페이스 장치의 한계로 말미암아 가상현실 애플리케이션에 활발히 도입되고 있지 못한 상황이다. 특히, 가상 조립 시뮬레이션은 제품 개발 단계에서 디지털 목업의 검증을 위한 프로세스로서 가상현실 애플리케이션 중 도전적인 주제라고 할 수 있다. 하지만, 가상의 객체를 파지(grasp)하기 어렵고 지속적으로 세밀하게 조작 할 수 없는 점 등은 핸드 햅틱 인터랙션이 가상 조립 등의 가상현실 애플리케이션에 적용 시 커다란 장벽으로 인식되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 핸드 햅틱 인터랙션을 두 관점에서 분석하여 각 단계별로 단계적 절차를 수행하는 방법을 제안하고자 한다. 인간이 사물을 쥐고 조작할 때, 손 안에서 사물이 빠져나가지 않도록 사물의 외형에 따라 손의 힘의 균형을 조절하는 견고함과 일단 사물을 쥐게 되면 손 안에서 인간의 의도를 반영한 정밀한 사물 조작이 가능한 세밀성이 가능한 핸드 햅틱 인터랙션을 제안하고자 한다. 제안된 알고리즘은 초기 grasp를 용이하게 하기 위해 품질평가척도를 통해 grasp의 견고함을 확보하고, 세밀한 조작성을 확보하기 위해 물리 기반의 시뮬레이션을 수행한다. 제안된 방법의 효율성을 평가하기 위하여 서로 다른 디스플레이 환경-모노, 입체 디스플레이-에서 실험을 수행하였다. 그리고 2-way ANOVA 테스트를 통하여 본 연구에서 제안한 충돌 전 grasp 단계와 충돌 후 조작 단계로 구분된 알고리즘이 앞서 언급한 두 관점을 모두 만족함을 보였다. 마지막으로, 제안된 인터랙션 방법을 이용하여 복잡한 그래픽 모델에 관한 가상 조립 시뮬레이션에 적용된 실 사례를 보였다.

자동차 생산라인을 위한 통합창고 시스템 (Integrated Storage System For Automobile Production Line)

  • The automobile manufacture is a typical integrated assembly production that the numerous parts are committed sequentially to the assembly line. In this type of automobile manufacture, WBS (white body storage) and PBS (paint body storage) are operated to adjust the production sequence and to buffer. Starvation (impossibility of production owing to the insufficient supply) or blocking (impossibility of production owing to the over capacity) could occur in some chance, hence, both storages (WBS, PBS) are integrated as a prevention. This system is called integrated storage. In this paper, we suggest the simulation model of 'WBS-PBS integrated storage' and methodology of operation considering both 'Color grouping' and 'Option leveling.'

  • Verification of tool collision is an important issue in die and mold machining. In this paper three functions of verification are schematically explained based on Z-Map model. The first function is getting a collision-free region when a tool assembly and a part surface model are given. The second function estimates the shortest length of cutter shank with that the tool cuts all of a region without collision. The last one is cutting simulation considering all parts of tool assembly as well as cutter blade. Those functions can be easily implemented by using several basic operators of Z-Map model which are explained also. Proposed approaches have enough accuracy to verify collision in reasonable computing time.

Proposed approaches can be easily implemented by using several basic operators of geometric model. An example to calculate collision-free region is presented also.

  • The bracket tilt among automobile parts is weld parts which construct the column assembly bracket tilt of equipments and accurate dimension after welding is more essential than weldment strength. By the way, it is insufficient that systematic study about this parts which have an importance on welding deformation. The reason is that welding deformation is complex problem with shape, size, material of parts and welding sequence, conditions etc. For reduction and removal of welding deformation, therefore, it is necessary that the security of welding deformation data and systematic examination about equipment, costs, work environment, manufacturing process etc. It is all the better that the prediction of welding deformation using simulation of welding process by FEA is supplemented. In this study, the countermeasure for this welding deformation of bracket tilt is brought up through experimental inspection before the choice of the optimum welding conditions with minimum welding deformation by simulation of welding process.

특징 형상의 간섭 표현에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Expression of Features Interaction)

  • This study is intended to develop a Feature based modeler. It is difficult to integrate CAD and CAM/CAPP with information that is given only by a conventional CAD system. Therefore a lot of studies have concentrated on a Feature based CAD system. But conventional Feature based modelers have had limitation on providing sufficient information related to Feature interaction. If a Feature based modeler is to be used in assembly simulation, a new Feature-based modeling method needs to be developed. Also to support collision detection between parts, we have to handle Feature interaction systematically. Therefore we suggest Cell data structure which handles interaction of Features by volume. The volume created by Feature interaction is saved as a Cell. With the Cell structure we solve problems involved with Feature interaction. This study shows how the Cell data structure can manage Feature interaction and give enough information in assembly simulation.
