This paper presents an incentive system to reduce response time from a supplier. The incentive system is expressed as a contract between an assembler and a supplier who have a long-term relationship. We produce the optimal payment scheme and expected total cost, when the assembler is farsighted. We show that the farsighted assembler obtains higher effort level from the supplier than the myopic assembler. We also show that the expected total cost of the farsighted assembler is smaller in the long run, although it is initially higher than that of the myopic assembler.

The object-oriented methods are being rapidly accepted as the solution for the software crisis. Object-oriented systems are composed of the integration of independent object modules; their merits are such that it is possible to reuse objects already developed, and that, when changes are required, modifications are restricted to some independent objects such that their affects to other objects are so little. In this paper, we deal with the macro assembler for next-generation microprocessors which has the merits of object methods. Whenever a microprocessor is newly developed, new assembler should be developed or the existing assembler be modified. In the former, it leads to the loss of time and money by the repeated developments, and, in the latter, it causes the problem of inefficient productivity since other modules are to be analyzed for the affections followed by modifications of one module, especially in the existing assemblers. To resolve these problems, the object-oriented macro assembler suggested in this paper consists of independent objects separable such that it shows reusability and reduces the inefficient productivity by minimizing the affects to other objects. Moreover, the object-oriented macro assembler integrates a macro pre-processor into an assembler, and uses automata for analyzing input streams to reduce the compile time.

This paper presents an IDE software, LIDE (LC-3 Integrated Development Environment), which integrates assembly program editor, LC-3 assembler, and LC-3 simulator.

HP 2100 S computer의 disc operating system 을 사용한 본cross-assembler는 alpha-minicomputer 의 assembly language program을 source 입력으로 하여 이 alpha-computer 에 의한 실행 (execution)을 목적으로 16진수 code의 등가 object program 을 출력토록 설계되어 있다.

Component-based development leverages software reusability and reduces development costs. Enterprise JavaBeans (EJB) is a component model developed to reduce the complexity of software development and to facilitate reuse of components. However, EJB does not support component assembly by a plug-and-play technique due to the hard-wired composition at the code level. To cope with this problem, an architecture for EJB component assembly is defined at the abstract level and the inconsistency between the system architecture and its implementation must be eliminated at the implementation level. We propose a component-based application development tool named the COBALT assembler that supports the design and implementation of EJB component assembly by a plug-and-play technique based on the architecture style. The system architecture is first defined by the Architecture Description Language (ADL). The wrapper code and glue code are then generated for the assembly. After the consistency between the architecture and its implementation is checked, the assembled EJB components are deployed in an application server as a new composite component. We use the COBALT assembler for a shopping mall system and demonstrate that it can promote component reuse and leverage the system maintainability.

CE (Consumer Electronics) 시장에서 Embedded System 은 time-to-market 이라는 개념이 나날이 중요해 지고 있다. 시스템의 중심인 core processor 에 대하여 지원하는 여러 가지 software toolkit 의 빠른 개발은 무엇보다 중요해지고 있다. 이 논문에서는 GNU Binutils 를 기반으로 ADL 을 이용하여 Embedded system의 core processor 를 위하여 신속한 Assembler 와 Linker 를 개발하는 플랫폼을 개발하였다. 이 플랫폼은 서울대학교 소프트웨어 최적화 연구실에서 개발한 ADL (Architecture Description Language)[1] 을 이용하여 core processor 를 기술하면 자동으로 Assembler 와 Link 를 생성해주는 시스템이다.

By analyzing five in-depth case studies of suppliers in newly emerging Vietnam's motorcycle industry, this paper explores the differences in patterns and processes of capability improvement of suppliers who participate in different kinds of supplier-assembler network with different structures. The paper finds the correlation between the kinds of suppliers' capabilities improved and the structure of networks they participate in. While suppliers in arm-length networks can improve more upstream capabilities (structure design, process desist), suppliers in embedded networks can improve more downstream capabilities (process design, process setup, process maintenance and delivery control). Two capability improvement patterns of firms in newly emerging economy are indicated. The first pattern is asymmetrical improvement, either upstream or downstream capabilities, by participating in either arm-length or embedded networks. This pattern obstructs the suppliers to meet the requirements of new buyers rho come from different kinds of network. The second pattern is symmetrical improvement by joining both arm-length and embedded networks.

Microprocessor의 출현은 전자계산기 구조에 일대혁명을 일으볐으며 최근 몇년간 microcomputer가 세게적인 화제의 초점을 이루고 있고 그 응용은 극히 강력한 기대와 관심을 불러 일으키고 있다. Microcomputer의 가장 큰 특징은 micrs computer 자체가 한 system의 component로 사용될 수 있다는 점이며 application software의 개발여하에 따라 무한한 가능성을 약속해 주고 있다. 본 논문에서는 M6800 application software를 개발하기 위하여 M6800 crossassembler를 작성하였다. M6800은 Motorola에서 개발한 micrs computer로 전세계적으로 가장 널리 사용되고 있는 것 중의 하나이다. 본 논문의 2장의 첫 부분에서는 M6800 assembly language가 소개되고 두번째 부분에서는 cross-assembler의 기본적인 특성이 기술되고 있다.

In this study, assembling procedure of TRU fuel assembly was reviewed and divided into rod bundle assembling, mating preassemblies and welding, and inspection and non-destructive examination. Based on this assumption, the design criteria of a remote assembler for TRU fuel assembly of PGSFR is defined and predictable technical issues are proposed.
