Heat shock proteins (HSPs) serve as molecular chaperones and play a role in cell protection from damage in response to stress stimuli. The aim of this article is to investigate whether HSP22 affects IL-8 expression in vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs), and which cellular factors are involved in the HSP-mediated IL-8 induction in that cell type in terms of mitogen activated protein kinase (MAPK) and transcription element. Exposure of aortic smooth muscle cells (AoSMCs) to HSP22 not only enhanced IL-8 release but also induced IL-8 transcript via promoter activation. HSP22 activated ERK and p38 MAPK in AoSMCs. HSP22-induced IL-8 release was inhibited by U0126, but not by SB202190. A mutation in the IL-8 promoter region at the binding site of NF-${\kappa}$ B, but not AP-1 or C/EBP, impaired promoter activation in response to HSP22. Delivery of I ${\kappa}$ B, but not dominant negative c-Jun, lowered HSP22-induced IL-8 release from AoSMCs. These results suggest that HS P22 induces IL-8 in VSMCs via ERK1/2, and that transcription factor NF-kB may be required for the HSP22-induced IL-8 up-regulation.

Special attention in the role of convection in vapor crystal growth has been paid since some single crystals under high gravity acceleration of $10g_0$ appear considerably larger than those under normal gravity acceleration ($1g_0$). With increasing the gravity acceleration from $1g_0$ up to $10g_0$, the total molar flux for ${\Delta}T$ = 30 K increases by a factor of 4, while for ${\Delta}T$ = 90, by a factor of 3. The maximum molar fluxes for three different gravity levels of $1g_0$, $4g_0$ and $10g_0$, appear approximately in the neighborhood of y = 0.5 cm, and the molar fluxes show asymmetrical patterns, which indicate the occurrence of either one single or more than one convective cell. As the gravitational level is enhanced form $1g_0$ up to $10g_0$, the intensity of convection is increased significantly through the maximum molar fluxes for ${\Delta}T$ = 30 K and 90 K. At $10g_0$, the maximum total molar flux is nearly invariant for for ${\Delta}T$ = 30 K and 90 K. The total molar flux increases with increasing the gravity acceleration, for $1g_0{\leq}g_y{\leq}10g_0$, and decreases with increasing the partial pressure of component B, a noble gas called as Kr (Krypton), $P_B$. The ${{\mid}U{\mid}}_{max}$ is directly proportional to the gravity acceleration for 20 Torr $P_B{\leq}300$ Torr. As the partial pressure of $P_B$ (Torr) decreases from 300 Torr to 20 Torr, the slopes of the ${{\mid}U{\mid}}_{max}s$ versus the gravity accelerations increase from 0.29 sec to 0.54 sec, i.e. by a factor of 2. The total molar flux of $Hg_2Cl_2$ is first order exponentially decayed with increasing the partial pressure of component B, $P_B$ (Torr) from 20 Torr up to 300 Torr.
The multicatalvtic 205 proteasome consisting of 12-15 subunits of 22-35 kDa is the catalytic core of the ATP/ubiquitin-dependent 26S protease complex that also is comprised of multiple subunits of 22-110 KDa. In order to determine whether the proteolvtic activities change during muscle development, the enzyme preparations were obtained from 11-, 14- and 17-day old chick embryonic muscle using a BioGel A-1.5m column. The 26S complex preparation from 14- or 17-day old muscle hvdr olvz e d both N -s uccinvl- Le u- Le u -Val-Tvr-7- amido -4- methvlco umarin ( Suc- LLVY- AMC) and ubiquitin-Ivsozvme conjugates about 50% as well as that from 11-day old muscle. In addition, the activity of 20S proteBsome against Suc-LLVY-AMC also decreased by about 20-30%. However, the protein level of 265 complex remained constant during the entire development period, while that of 205 proteasome increased 5- to 6-fold, as analyzed by nondenaturins polyacrvlamide gel elenrophoresis followed by immunoblot analysis using the antibodies raised against the purified enzymes. Thus, the specific activity of 20S proteasome against the peptide must decrease rather dramatically during the muscle development. These results suggest that the development-dependent changes in the proteolytic activities of both 20S proteasome and 26S protease complect from embryonic muscle are due to alterations in the expression of certain subunits in the enzvmes that are responsible for their specific cataIVtic functions but not to overall changes in the enzyme amounts.
It is necessary to manage risk of metals which are has rigid supply structures and expected demand expansion, considering to industry structure and resource securing capacity of each country. Countries conducted various criticality analyses and selected mainly rare metals as critical materials(or Critical metals or Critical raw materials). This study examined cases of metals risk evaluation and management which are based on technology changes and imbalance supply-demand. EU and U.S.A evaluated risk on metals needed as supply expansion of renewable energy. Japan forecasted demand of rare metals needed in Japan's growth engine industry. U.K analyzed criticality of metals, considering environmental burden occurred from mining to refining. Critical materials has features such as weak price signal, inelastic supply structure, demand volatility in technology change.
This study was attempted to understand the phenomenon in depth by exploring the food craving of hemodialysis patients experienced during hemodialysis. Participants selected seven adult patients diagnosed with end-stage renal failure and receiving hemodialysis treatment from medical institutions. he collected data were analyzed using a phenomenological analysis method. As a result of the analysis the food craving of hemodialysis patients was derived into two categories included craving experience in the cognitive domain craving experience in the emotional domain and five themes: 'Looking for foods that are water and watery as a result of thirst','Food thoughts come to mind all day as a result of a limited diet', 'Always hungry', 'Faced with appetizing situations every hour', 'experiencing negative emotions due to failure to control meals'. The results of this study which sheds light on food craving from the perspective of hemodialysis patients should improve the understanding of hemodialysis patients appetite control water restrictions and dietary compliance and allow them to understand the food craving attributes of hemodialysis patients and provide customized education optimized for that extent when applying dietary education and nursing interventions suitable for them.
The purpose of the experiment was to clarify morphologically normal growth pattern of the ductus deference in accordance with the sex maturity of meat-type cockerels. 1. Diameter of lumens in u, pp.r, mid and lower parts of ductus deferens, the most conspicuous enlargement of lumen was observed in the lower part. Heights of epithelial layers of ductus deferens showed abrupt growth at 12 weeks of age with subsequent gradual growth in all the part of u, pp.r, mid and lower, and heights of those at 30 weeks were a, pp.oximately 4 times as large in the u, pp.r and mid parts and 5 times as large in the lower part in contrast to those at 4 weeks of age. Thickness of muscular layer of ductus showed gradual growth in contrast with the diameter of lumen and height of epithelial layer, showing 1.3 times as large in the u, pp.r part, 1.6 times in the mid part and 1.9 times in the lower part at 30 weeks of age in contrast to the thickness at 4 weeks of age. 2. Within 10 weeks after hatching, lining cells of ductus deferens were mainly composed of round cells and columnar cells in simple columnar epithelium. During 10th to 20th week, the lining cells were mainly composed of high columnar cells and round cells in pseudostratified epithelium. From 22nd week, the lining cells were composed of pseudostratified columnar cells. Whereas round cells disa, pp.ared gradually. Enlargement of lumen and pooling of sperms in ductus deferens coincided with the maturation of seminiferous tubules. 3. In simple correlation between the values of testis weight and the values from various measurements in the ductus deferens, there was significant correlation coefficient with each other. 4. In the India ink absorption test, India ink granules were not absorbed on the epithelium of the ductus deferens, but the granules reactive to acid phosphatase a, pp.ared in a line on the free border of each parts of the ductus deferens. The granules reactive to alkaline phosphatase were noted on the luminal border of ductus deferens mainly, but weak reaction showed than acid phophatase were a, pp.ared. The granules reactive to PAS were a, pp.ared mostly near on the free border of hte epithelial cells of ductus deferens. 5. Number of sperm, Indes of sperm vitality and MRT in the different parts of ductus deferens were tended to be somewhat dominant in the mid and lower parts than in u, pp.r part, even though not significant in the statistical analysis. Ratio of sperm abnormality was tended to be relatively high in the u, pp.r part too, and in the sperm of abnormality blunted head was less in number significantly in the mid and lower part than in the u, pp.r part.
The effects of various nitrogen soruces on the expression of nif gene were investigated using nif-lac fusants of Klebsiella pneumoniae. K. pneumoniae UK 2979 was infected with Mudl lysate prepared by heat induction of K. pneumoniae UK 4482. About 80 nif-lac fusants were isolated and designated as LX series. In the prescence of $NH_4^+,\;{\beta}-galactosidase$ activities on nif-lac fusants were greatly repressed. Amino acids, such as serine, glutamine and asparagine, were found to support the growth of K. pneumoniae M5al quite well, and showed a repressive effect on ${\beta}-galactosidase$ activities of nif-lac fusants LX-9 and LX-22 in NFHM. Glutamic acid, histidine and arginine rendered poor growth but high activities of ${\beta}-galactosidase$. Good cell growth and high enzyme activity were observed when complex nitrogen sources, such as casitone, proteose pepone, were employed. ${\beta}-galactosidase$ activities of LX-9 and LX-22 in nitrogen free minimal medium increased sharply within first 4 hours.
Background: The present study was undertaken to establish any correlation of elevated levels of CA19-9 with tumor stage or grade of urothelial carcinoma. Materials and Methods: This hospital based study was carried out in the Department of Biochemistry of Nepalese Army Institute of Health Sciences between $1^{st}$ July 2012 and $31^{st}$ December 2012. Approval for the study was obtained from the institutional research ethical committee. CA19-9 was assayed with an ELISA reader for all cases and expressed in U/ml with 37U/ml taken as the cut-off upper value for normal. Results: Out of 20 cases enrolled, 15 were of urothelial carcinoma and the remaining 5 were controls. There was marked difference between the mean values of CA19-9 in cases $40.2{\pm}19.3U/ml$ of urothelial carcinoma and controls $7.98{\pm}7.34U/ml$. The number of cases in Ta, TI, T2, T3, T4 stages of urothelial carcinoma were 2, 6, 3, 3, 1 respectively. The percentage rise in CA19-9 was less with low grade tumors (22.2%) when compared with high grade tumors (66.6%) (p value $0.001^*$). The percentage of rise in CA19-9 for muscle invasive tumors was very high when compared to superficial tumors. Similarly, the percentage of rise in CA19-9 for metastatic disease was very high when compared to non-metastatic disease and it was found statistically significant (p value $0.001^*$). Conclusion: Serum CA19-9 levels predicts the prognosis of urothelial carcinoma as it is almost invariably raised in tumors having metastatic spread.

Objective: Diseases of the respiratory system are one of the main causes of death and include situation such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, pneumonia or asthma. Medicinal plants have beneficial effects on multiple diseases include respiratory disorders like asthma and bronchitis. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of U. dioica and L. Album on tracheal smooth muscle contraction. Material and methods: Hydroalcoholic extracts of L. Album and U. Dioica aerial parts were prepared by maceration method and standardized based on their total phenol content. The effect of the extracts on the KCl-induced contraction of rat trachea was examined in an organ bath chamber. Data was analyzed with spss software 22. Results: The extract of L. Album (5 mg/ml), similar to theophylline (20 mM), significantly reduced the KCl-induced tracheal contraction. On the other hand, U. Dioica (1 mg/ml and 5 mg/ml) augmented the KCl-induced contraction. Conclusion: The relaxant effect of L. Album on the trachea makes it as a candidate for the managing patients with asthma and obstructive pulmonary diseases. But because of U. Dioica potential constrictive effect on the trachea it is suggested that patients avoid consuming it.
Twenty-four Hereford steers, 22 months old and a mean liveweight (${\pm}\;s.e.$) of $250\;{\pm}\;7\;kg$ were used in an experiment to evaluate over 42 days two rates of copra meal supplementation to cattle on a low N ($8.6\;{\pm}\;0.9$ g N/kg dry matter (DM)), low digestible ($45\;{\pm}\;5.2%$ DM) native pasture hay. Steers given the two rates (500, 1000 g/steer/day; i.e. 500C, 1000C) were compared to steers on a non-supplemental diet and to the effects on steers of supplemental urea (30g/steer/day; 30U) or with copra meal (500 g/steer/day; 500C.U), or of cottonseed meal (500 g/steer/day; 500S). Liveweight change was increased (P<0.01) by all of the supplements except by supplemental urea. The most effective treatment, 1000C, increased significantly (P<0.01) liveweight change (946 g/day) in steers above all supplements except those steers given 500C.U (718 g/day). Hay intake per unit liveweight was increased (P<0.05) by 7% by the 30U and 500C.U treatment, and by 9% by 500C; this group having the highest supplements, being greatest (P<0.05) for the 1000C group (6.0 g feed intake/g gain) and least for the 500S supplemented group (11.5 g/g gain). Efficiency was lowest (18.6 g/g gain) for the non-supplemented steers on the basal hay diet. Copra meal N was less degradable (i.e. 29%) in nylon bags over 15 hours in the rumen than was cottonseed meal N (37%), and rumen ammonia concentrations were lower (P<0.05) in cattle supplemented with copra meal (25, 27 mg N/L) than in cattle given urea (36 mg N/L) or cottonseed meal (39 mg N/L). It is concluded that copra meal at a daily rate of 500 g/head, and with rumen soluble nitrogen from urea, is an effective supplement for improving growth of cattle on a low quality forage.
