This study was designed to evaluate the effects of hotel brand image on the job preference of students majoring in culinary art through the relationship between hotel brand image and internship satisfaction and internship expectation. The effects were also examined on the personal job preference and job potential as career to the internship. To analyze the proposed hypotheses, a survey questionnaire comprising 61 statements was administered to students majoring in culinary art in colleges located in Seoul and Gyunggi-do. Out of 450 respondents, 420 questionnaires were collected (93.3%) and 411 (91.3%) were analyzed using the statistical package SPSS 12.0. The following results were obtained. First, the regression analysis results for the correlation between hotel brand image and internship confirmed a significant effect of hotel brand image on the satisfaction of internship for students majoring culinary art. Second, according to the correlation results for the internship and job preference, both satisfaction and expectation on internship greatly affected the student's job preference. On the relationship between hotel brand image and internship expectation, the social image of the hotels provided a major contribution to the internship expectation. As well as the internship expectations, the hotel brand image was strongly related with the job preference.
This study analyzed the qualifications necessary and manpower required in the Jeju nail art and make-up industry. We aimed to investigate the relationship between NCS education and national technical qualifications. For this study, 164 participants were given a questionnaire, and the collected data were analyzed via frequency analysis and multiple regression analysis using SPSS Ver. 18.0. The results of this study are as follows: 1. Matching job seekers with available positions was more difficult in nail art businesses than in makeup businesses. The main routes by which practitioners found jobs were Internet job sites and acquaintances. In addition, experience was the first consideration in hiring employees. 2. Those in high positions had less intention of employing students who had received NCS education, than those in lower positions. Intention to employ NCS graduates was high in businesses that found their employees through Internet job sites, vocational training institutes, acquaintances, or colleagues. Nail art workers prioritized NCS educational units in the following order: nail care, nail shop hygiene, gel nails, cosmetic nail removal, and tips/wraps. Makeup workers had the following priorities: basic makeup, wedding makeup, makeup shop safety, and hygiene management. They also mentioned basic occupational skills such as communication skills, interpersonal skills, and problem solving skills. Moreover, the new national licensing system was found to reflect competency in the most important skill sets.
This study was conducted to seek improvements by correcting problems of the qualification system of theatrical art technicians, which has a relatively weak foundation, compared to other national industrial qualifications. Through the previous researches, this study attempted to seek main issues and development plans in the field of theatrical art technology, while carrying out in-depth interviews for theatrical art technicians. With the results of this study, problems of the existing system can be largely divided into two kinds. Firstly, the existing system is mostly focused on performance places, especially large-sized public performance halls. Secondly, as a problem in terms of management, the existing system has non-professional management subjects and non-convenience regarding the number of qualification tests and places only in Seoul and once a year. This study grasped problems based on practical demands of the related industry through in-depth interviews with experts, thus seeking proper solutions. What matters most is that the present system should be converted from performance place-centered management to performance-centered management. In other words, by expanding qualification-acquired experts into all the performances, the system should practically contribute to improving the quality of performances and expanding the treatment of experts, which is the fundamental purpose of this system. Moreover, it is needed to seek a plan to expand the convenience of applicants for the procedures and methods of acquiring qualifications.
This study proposes a strategy for the creation and management of urban forests in Paju Heyri art village. Urban forest composition attributes (4 categories and 16 items) were extracted and the questionnaire was asked to the level and the current level for tourists, local residents and workers in Paju Heyri art village. And the priority order for the creation of urban forests was derived through the difference between the present level (performance) and the required level (importance) and the requirements analysis procedure. In this study, the priorities of each item of urban forest formation attributes were determined. The t-test alone had limitations, so we calculated the Borich needs which were not covered by the existing Importance - Performance Analysis (IPA). We used the Locus for Focus Model, which is a method for visually confirming the difference between the current level and the required value for the required level in the 4-quadrant coordinate plane. The results of this study show that the seven priorities can be used as a useful tool for the formulation of urban forests and operational strategies and can be a basic research for the activation of urban forests in the future.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the body cathexis and appearance management behaviors of the high school girls according to their demographic, physical, psychological. and school related variables. Data was obtained from 378 high school girls in Jeonju City by self-administered questionnaires from March to April. 2001. The results of this study were; 1. Body cathexis of high school twirls was relatively low, face and upper body cathexis were higher than other body parts. but lower-body and total body cathexis were low. 2. Body cathexis of high school twirls was in exact proportion to their parents' educational level total household income. and monthly pocket money. And it was higher in case of tall. light. external personality. higher self-esteem, art or physical high school girls. and the vocational high school twirls. with good academic records. and popular among friends. 3. High school girls showed higher appearance management behaviors such as bath, skin care. hair care. but they did risky appearance management behaviors such as drug use. diet. plastic cosmetic a tittle. The students in case of mother's higher educational level. more monthly income of household, more pocket money. external personalities. lower self-esteem, art or physical high school girls and the vocational high school girls, with good academic records, popular among friends showed higher appearance management behaviors .
The purpose of this study is to explore possible ways to make a strategical use of CRM(Customer Relationship Management) for facilitating performing arts. In order to satisfy the purpose, this study investigated actual cases of CRM, primarily focusing on LG Art Center, one of representative performance venues in South Korea, and CREDIA, a performing art planning agency in South Korea. Here, it was found that LG Art Center operated its independent TMS(Theater Management System) and thereby could afford to successfully plan performing art programs on the basis of customer-oriented convenient ticketing system as well as a pile of customer information. On the other hand, CREDIA introduced advanced performance management system and has successfully attracted larger membership than before. Moreover, it organized specialized personnel in membership management and thereby could manage membership in systematic manner. And it was found that based on web log analysis, CREDIA developed a variety of products to comply with customer needs and thereby could realize higher returns and better customer satisfaction through cross-selling activities as well as performance ticketing. However, it was found that CREDIA still operated its membership system and mileage point system in stereotypes manner. Thus, it is required to operate differentiated membership system based on membership grades and diversify practical ways to save and use mileage points, so that CRM can be strategically applied to develop new audience and maintain loyal customers.
Contemporary literary writers engage in multiple jobs and activities in the changing industrial and institutional environments to manage careers and produce literary value. The notion of art entrepreneurship envisages writers as the actors pursuing optimal rewards at both literary and economic levels by applying creative knowledge and skills to the management of career. In contrast, the notion of creative labor argues that writers go through career insecurity as they pursue self-fulfillment through work. This paper critically reviews two notions and suggests the notion of cultural intermediaries to better understand their production of literary value within the variety of relational contexts where they are situated. This paper analyzes the structures and characteristics of a wide range of intermediary practices by literary writers. Based on the analysis, I argue that the autonomy of literary value the writers construct and their status of entrepreneur-labourer are contingent upon the relational contexts within which they practice the intermediary work. I also suggest that literary writers by utilizing a variety of tactics cope with the changes that shape the autonomy of literature and invent new roles and identities as cultural intermediaries. Furthermore, literary writers develop not only self-management skills to adapt to the changing environments but also the collective capacity to cope with the constraints derived from the structural change of literary production and circulation. Finally, I argue that the art management discipline can reflect upon and support the creative endeavors of literary writers by embracing the critical understanding of structural changes suggested by the disciplines of humanities and social sciences.

Jewelry after Art Nouveau repeated development by being divided into industrial and artistic jewelry. They have influenced on a lot of development until modern times. Art Nouveau led jewelry to the establishment of artistic worth, exceeding the worth of goods. There is a difference between aesthetic jewelry expressed through diverse formativeness of Art Nouveau and modern jewelry designs centered on simple precious jewelry which is biased toward productivity and functionality. Modern times are the times of culture and art that are laying stress on personality and ego-expression and pursue creative and ingenious designs. So, various color expression of Art Nouveau and jewelry styles of diverse materials and motives which were expressed through time period and thought will become examples in leading new design development and design flows of modern jewelry.

In this paper, we propose a portable art therapy content. The proposed content makes counseling clients get a psychical cure at least cost regardless of time and place Counseling clients express their psychological state as pictures through the proposed content. And Counselors analyze and interpret the figures based on the database which is built into the server system. Due to the development of advanced technologies, various adjustment disorders and addictions have increased in the rapidly changing modern society. This causes the increase of counseling clients who want a psychical cure. And also counseling time, counseling place and counseling cost are emerging as a social issues. Psychotherapy specialists use the proposed content at the stage of the psychoanalysis which needs a lot of time and effort. The proposed content exploits the sever system to make the right decisions quickly and accurately. Counseling clients who are the medical underprivileged get visit consultation and online consultation can detect a psychological high-risk in an early stage and prevent this psychological high-risk. Preventive treatment service using the proposed content will make the social and medical cost savings.

Arts gains a new relation as the new academic area that deals with living organisms and through this technology, it affects everything, such as the body, entity, consciousness and unconsciousness to bring an overall change. Based on this premise, arts require a different interpretation from the previous product-focused interpretation or the analysis focusing on the aesthetics. As the result of arts using the scientific methods, I examined the changes of the arts semantics and how it evolved with what kind of contents and characteristics. The net art with the internet base also form a close relationship with the social and cultural codes. In categorizing the social issues and the topical discussions with semantic factors that evolve from the digital biological perspective, it can be divided into four types of complex interaction, positive feedback negative feedback, and amplification of unsettledness. Based on the characteristics of the multimedia and the interactive reaction, the technique and the imagery amplify the message through a spatial and timely meeting in a mutual repletion. In other words, the emotional communication is used to attempt the messages from the products and the expression in various methods.
