개선된 퍼지 ART 기반 RBF 네트워크와 PCA 알고리즘을 이용한 여권 인식 및 얼굴 인증

  • 본 논문에서는 출입국자 관리의 효율성과 제계적인 출입국 관리를 위하여 여권 코드를 자동으로 인식하고 위조 여권을 판별할 수 있는 여권 인식 및 얼굴 인증 방법을 제안한다. 여권 이미지가 기울어진 상태로 스캔되어 획득되어질 경우 개별 코드 인식과 얼굴 인증에 많은 영향을 미칠 수도 있으므로 기울기 보정은 문자 분할 및 인식, 얼굴 인증에 있어 매우 중요하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 여권 영상을 스미어링한 후, 추출된 문자열 중에서 가장 긴 문자열을 선택하고 이 문자열의 좌측과 우측 부분의 두께 중심을 연결하는 직선과 수평선과의 기울기를 이용하여 여권 영상에 대한 각도 보정을 수행한다. 여권 모드 추출은 소벨 연산자와 수평 스미어링, 8 방향 윤곽선 추적 알고리즘을 적용하여 여권 코드의 문자열 영역을 추출하고, 추출된 여권 코드 문자열 영역에 대해 반복 이지화 방법을 적용하여 코드의 문자열 영역을 이진화한다. 이진화된 문자열 영역에 대해 CDM 마스크를 적용하여 문자열의 코드들을 복원하고 8 방향 윤곽선 추적 알고리즘을 적용하여 개별 코드를 추출한다. 추출된 개별 코드 인식은 개선된 RBF 네트워크를 제안하여 적용한다. 제안된 RBF 네트워크는 퍼지 논리 접속 연산자를 이용하여 경계변수를 통적으로 조정하는 개선된 퍼지 ART 알고리즘을 제안하여 RBF 네트워크의 중간층으로 적용한다. 얼굴 인증을 위해서는 얼굴 인증에 가장 보편적으로 사용되는 PCA 알고리즘을 적용한다. PCA 알고리즘은 고차원의 벡터를 저 차원의 벡터로 감량하여 전체 입력 영상들의 직교적인 공분산행렬을 계산한 후 그것의 고유 값에 따라 각 영상의 고유벡터를 구하므로 PCA 알고리즘을 적용하여 얼굴의 고유 벡터를 구한 후 특징 벡터를 추출한다. 따라서 여권 영상에서 획득되어진 얼굴 영상의 특징벡터와 데이터베이스에 있는 얼굴 영상의 특징벡터와의 거리 값을 계산하여 사진 위조 여부를 판별한다. 제안된 여권 인식 및 얼굴 인증 방법의 성능을 평가를 위하여 원본 여권에서 얼굴 부분을 위조한 여권과 기울어진 여권 영상을 대상으로 실험한 결과, 제안된 방법이 여권의 코드 인식 및 얼굴 인증에 있어서 우수한 성능이 있음을 확인하였다.

  • The number of galleries across the country is increasing as interest in cultural life increases due to the increase in national income. However, museum satisfaction is relatively low compared to other services. In this paper, we propose a service that provides preference information based on machine learning in embedded system environment in order to increase museum satisfaction. The proposed algorithm implements an embedded system using Raspberry Pi. Machine learning was used to find works similar to the viewer's favorite works, and several models were compared to select models applicable to embedded systems. By using the preference information, it is possible to effectively organize the gallery exhibition contents to increase the exhibition satisfaction and the re-visit rate of the museum.

  • This paper compares operational and network analysis of centralized and distributed repository for big data solutions in the IoT enabled Smart Grid environment. The comparative analysis clearly depicts that centralize repository consumes less memory consumption while distributed locality-based repository reduce network complexity issues than centralize repository in state-of-the-art Big Data Solution.

  • Ultrasonic motors have an advantage over conventional electro-magnetic motors because of its excellent characteristics, such as high torque, low speed output, compact size, excellent controllability and, above of all, quite operation. The principle of operation of ultrasonic motors is to generate gross mechanical motion through the amplification and repetition of micro-deformations of active materials. A brief description of working principle and methods of analysis of dynamic behaviors of ultrasonic motors are given for the extended research and development activities anticipated in the mechanical engineering community.

  • 본 논문에서는 neural network을 이용한 이미지 장르(유형) 분류 시스템을 소개한다. 이 논문에서 제안된 시스템은 이미지를 예술(art), 사진(photo), 만화(cartoon) 이미지라는 세 가지 장르(유형) 중 하나로 분류한다. 이미지의 특성은 표준 MPEG-7 visual descriptor를 사용하여 추출된 후, neural networks를 이용하여 학습된다. 시뮬레이션 결과는 제안된 시스템이 80% 이상의 이미지들을 정확한 장르(유형)로 분류하는 것을 보여준다.

  • The technology required to advance the state of the art of ultra-high-intensity excimer amplifier construction to the 100 J/100fs output pulse level is identified. The preliminary design work for very large final amplifier pumped by electron beam module is described, and key design problems and approaches are presented and discussed in detail based on the recent experimental and theoretical results.

  • Over the past couple of years, tremendous progress has been made in applying deep learning (DL) techniques to computer vision. Especially, deep convolutional neural networks (DCNNs) have achieved state-of-the-art performance on standard recognition datasets and tasks such as ImageNet Large-Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC). Among them, GoogLeNet network which is a radically redesigned DCNN based on the Hebbian principle and scale invariance set the new state of the art for classification and detection in the ILSVRC 2014. Since there exist various deep learning techniques, this review paper is focusing on techniques directly related to DCNNs, especially those needed to understand the architecture and techniques employed in GoogLeNet network.

  • The industry has undergone a significant change over the last decade: digital business has become a strategy to survive; the extended enterprise is being implemented; parts are made where conditions are most favourable; non-core activities are out-sourced; advanced manufacturing systems and information technologies are introduced to improve manufacturing performance. Suppliers and distributors become part of the supply chain and they all comprise an integrated international co-operative network to provide manufactured goods and support services for a world market just in time, at low prices and with quality surpassing customers' expectations. In this paper, we review various state-of-the-art information technologies for the shipbuilding industry. The successful introduction and implementation of those technologies will be the key enabler for e-transformation in the shipbuilding industry.

  • Viscosity of cellulose pulp was greatly decreased with endo-xylanase treatment but tiny decreased with exo-xylanase treatment. Change of freeness was greatly influenced with exo-xylanase treatment. The first stage of refining(5,000 revolution), freeness was greatly decreased with exo-xylanase treatment. After middle stage of refining(10,000 revolution) change of freeness was similar to endo-xylanase treatment. WRV(water retention value) was more effective exo-xylanas than endo-xylanase treatment. Interfiber bonding of cellulose fiber was disintegrated with exo-xylanse treatment.

  • The world being made by computers showing great expanses and complex and various expression provides not simply communication places but also a new civilization and a new creative world. Among these, 3D computer graphics, 3D animation and virtual reality technology wore sublimated as a new culture and a new genre of art by joining graphic design and computer engineering. In this study, I tried to make a diagnosis of possibilities, limits and differences of expression in the area of virtual reality computer graphics animation as a comparison between camera action, angle of actual still camera and film camera and virtual software for 3D computer graphics software - Maya, XSI, Softimage3D.
