연속적 시·공간관이 반영된 다(多)시점 패션디자인 분석 (An Analysis of Multi-View Fashion Design Reflected in the Perception of Time and Space)

  • The purpose of this thesis is to study multi-view fashion design with an analysis of multi-view art's formation and philosophical perspective. The production of unique artwork is dependent on how we see, think and represent what is around us. Multi-view art has great potential as a concept related to the continuity of time and space, it is not limited to space and time but it extends to infinitely, according to the artist's will and imagination. The study of time and space has been used as principles for deriving the formative of multi-view art, and the principles applied for analyzing multi-view fashion design. And the formation of multi-view art is reflected in fashion design. Simultaneity, deconstructivity, continuity and virtuality in terms of multi-view art are support the formation of multi-view fashion design, such as fabrication, expandability, concealment and transparency. As such, it is important to study multi-view fashion design as a creative design method with immense potential for further development.

  • 디자인원형은 조형원리인 성상적인 면과 물리적인 성격의 형상적인 면으로 설명되어진다. 원형은 문화전반의 사상과 배경의 핵심으로 생활 공예 및 건축, 미술의 제작의도와 작업 행위에 해당되는 것으로 한 민족의 문화와 예술 그리고 생활 전반에 내재한 공통분모라 할 수 있다. 우리는 새로운 문화를 흡수, 통합하는 과정에서 시 공간을 축으로 하여 디자인 원형을 형성시켜왔다. 현대 한국 디자인의 원형은 조선 후기로 볼 수 있는데 상층문화와 기층문화가 융합하면서 활발한 문화가 전개되었고, 이런 조선의 문화와 예술은 오늘날 우리 디자인과 한국 미의 근간이 되어 있음은 부정할 수 없다. 디자인 원형을 형성시킴에는 지형과 기후 등과 같은 자연 환경적 요소가 무엇보다 중요하며 이런 자연 환경적 요소는 건축과 실내 환경의 형태뿐만 아니라 예술과 생활 공예 전반의 디자인 의식을 주도해왔다. 한국디자인은 우리 민족의 기질과 정서로서 명분과 본능에 충실한 장인 정신을 낳았고 이성보다는 감성적 유희성의 작업을 가능하게 하여, 재료와 형태감에 순응하게 하는 자연주의를 형성시켜왔다. 이와 같은 우리의 디자인 원형의 경로 추적과 연구는 미래 사회의 새로운 디자인 identity의 에너지로써 우리의 디자인 발전에 중요한 테마라 할 수 있다.

정신적 장애인을 위한 원예치료 프로그램 분석 (Analysis of Horticultural Therapy Programs for the Mentally Disabled)

  • 정신적 장애인을 대상으로 체계적인 원예치료 프로그램 마련을 위한 기초자료를 제공하고자 정신적 장애인을 대상으로 실시한 원예치료 프로그램을 분석하였다. 그 결과, 전체 원예치료 프로그램 중 공예활동이 가장 많이 진행되었으며 대상자별로는 지적장애가 가장 많았다. 그리고 시기별로는 전기보다 후기에 많은 프로그램이 진행되었다. 재배활동에서는 일반재배, 대상자별로는 지적장애가 가장 많았고 시기별로도 전기보다는 후기에 프로그램이 증가되었다. 공예활동을 살펴보면 전체적으로 화훼장식품이 가장 많았으며 대상자별로는 지적장애가 많았고 시기별로는 전기보다 후기에 더 많은 프로그램이 진행되었다. 요리활동에서는 차와 관련된 프로그램, 대상자별로는 지적장애가 가장 많았다. 시기별로는 전기보다 후기에 더 많은 프로그램이 진행되었다. 학습활동에서는 오리엔테이션 프로그램이 가장 많았으며, 대상자별로는 정신적장애가 많았고, 시기별로는 전기보다 후기에서 증가했다. 야외활동의 분석결과 전체적으로 소풍이 많았으며, 대상자별로는 지적장애에서 많은 프로그램이 진행되었다. 또한 시기별로는 전기보다 후기에 증가함을 알 수 있었다.

니들워크 기법과 조직의 확장 적용 경향 (A Study on the Expanded Application Trends of Needlework Techniques and Structures)

  • This study aims at exploring how the existing stereotypes of needlework, which has long been regarded as a tribute to domestic labor and hobbies which are the purview of women, have come into play in the current trend of convergence among various fields, techniques and materials. This research examines these trends based on cases in two categories applied to the fields of art and space use products. In the field of art, it can be seen that needlework is applied in a variety of ways in the overall diffusion of craftivism, which is a way of asserting opinions about politics and societies. In yarn bombing and performance art, not only do needlework experts, but also, artists of other genres, underscore their propensity of carrying out projects that take advantage of the basic principles of needlework and various physical properties. Various needlework projects applied to the space use products showed the tendency to interact with the spectator or the user as a basic element through examples of playscape, which has the function of being used for relaxation and play. The study was able to confirm the tendency of interior products, which are made from needlework to furniture and tableware directly, and the tendency of materials' expansion. Based on this research, we are going to explore the possibilities for diverse new fusion attempts in fashion and textiles, as well as art, craft and design fields, in the future.

초기 모더니즘 가구디자인의 근원적 조형세계 (A Study on the Furniture Design of the Early Modernism in the Original Formative-World)

  • This study examined the characteristics of furniture design in the early Modernism that occurred in the early 20th Century through the relationship with modern arts. The furniture design of the early Modernism was established in the early 20th Century based on the simplicity and honesty of the Art and Crafts Movement and Anti-Historicism in Art Nouveau. During this period, the necessity of mass production became critical due to the radical industrialization and new social demands. In such periodic stream, the furniture design of the early modernism pursued simplicity and geometric beauty based on functionalism. The efforts to discover the fundamental structure of furniture were intensified. It was not limited to furniture design but was also exercised in the huge periodic transformation that progressed in every field of art including architecture. The Modernism art has also been connected to Cubism and spread into an abstract direction. While questioning the potential essence and progressing the study on genuine characteristics, the Modernism art tried to return things into their substantial looks and reorganize them conceptually, rather than reproducing external objects. The furniture that was secondary to a part of architecture and interior accessory transcended its decorative purpose. It pursued the structure to follow its fundamental purpose as furniture. Such tendency corresponded to the direction that Post-Modernism followed. Likewise, both art and design had the revivable and abstract characteristics based on the identical objective in ideology. For this reason, the formative and geometric characteristics of the early modernism furniture design have a mutual relationship with modern arts. Particularly, such tendency intensified and progressed through the Bauhaus in Germany. Based on such facts, this study proved that the early Modernism furniture design in the 20th Century tended to appear in common arts including the art and design according to the social demand of the huge periodic stream. Furthermore, the ideology that was adopted in art and design, as well as its formative characteristics, was examined through the mutual relationship of modern arts and design.

아동 색채조형 놀이기구 디자인 제안 (Kids Color-design Playground Apparatus Proposal)

  • Color is an important subject of interest for cognitive developmental stages of children and it also correlate to emotional and physical development. Children can acquire concept of color by 'play'. Color play can be experienced to children through diversity activity and theses activities contain creative craft art activity. The color-paly with art activity for kids can be called 'kids color-design play'. Recently, indoor playgrounds are rapidly grow-up because parent's concern degree that about play activity get higher. The indoor playground being enlargement and it contains various paly contents. Color-design play is also enacted animatedly in kids indoor playground. The great part of color-design plays are enacted through program that needs teaching. On the other hand, color-design play facility that children can play spontaneously is not composed sufficiently. Therefore this study aim at design proposal of 'Kids color-design playground apparatus' in indoor playground.

죽세품 공예디자인 발전을 위한 시장조사 및 실험연구 (A Market and Experimental Research on the Advancement of Bamboo Folkcraft Product Design)

  • 본 논문은 전통문화의 현대화, 대중화 차원에서 담양지역의 죽세공예 및 죽세산업에 대해서 소비자 및 생산업체를 대상으로 설문조사 하였으며, 특정 죽세품인 대발을 가지고 다양한 소재, 기법, 디자인을 적용하여 샘플실험 및 작품을 제작하였다. 소비자 대상의 설문조사는 새로운 디자인 개발에 의한 다양한 용도의 제품개발에 대한 매우 높은 선호도 및 구매의사를 보여 향후 신제품 개발 및 디자인 개선의 필요성을 시사하고 있다. 생산업체 또한 새로운 디자인 적용에 의한 신제품개발에 관심이 높으며 전문기관의 디자인 지원을 가장 바라고있었다. 대발개발을 위한 실험조사 결과는 새로운 섬유재료, 천연염색, 현대적 디자인의 조합을 통해 오늘날의 소비자에 소구할 수 있는 제품개발 가능성을 발견하였다. 본 연구는 전통문화의 재창조를 위한 하나의 좋은 사례가 될 것으로 생각되며, 전문기관과 생산업체 간의 산학협동을 통해 전통문화의 제품화·상용화를 기할 수 있다는 점을 제안했다.

청주국제공예비엔날레 전시회장 조성에 관한 평가와 분석 (An Analysis of evaluations of Exhibition Design for Cheongju International Craft Biennale)

  • Cheoungju International Craft Biennale is not just an art exhibition but more like a pubic festival which is including an experiential learning and a public participation section as well as a special exhibition and an international competition section. Thus it is strongly required to present an appropriate meaning and mood corresponding to each exhibition hall. The paper has examined the exhibition topics during the last 10 years and the plannings and contents to install the exhibition hall according the yearly topic and it has analyzed the comprehensive evaluations after the exhibition. The research scope is limited to the part related to the exhibition hall and facilities, which is including calculation of dimensions and layout, access and movement system, the appropriateness of the design and construction period, measure of applied technology appropriateness, post management as well as planning intent, estimation of the number of the visitors, preliminaries. With the results shown in the comprehensive evaluation and analysis, the paper has presented two issues, the one related to the procensure and preparation and the other related to the facilities. It is showed that both problems are due to the lack of expertise and it is necessary for the experts to participate from the first step of the procedure including planning for the successful exhibition. For the appropriate exhibition hall corresponding to the exhibition planning and scale, it is required to have the professional considerations of successful space and visitor's movement management, display environment, construction method, and post management. The study presents that architectural and interior design have to take an active part in constructing exhibition design in overall stage including the initial, practice, and evaluation stage.

3D 프린터를 이용한 '석고 몰드 캐스팅' 사례에 관한 연구 - 실용도자공예를 중심으로 (A Study on the Case of 'Plaster Mold Casting' using 3D Printer - Focused on Ceramic Craft for Use)

  • 20세기 후반에 등장한 3D 프린터는 21세기에 들어와 4차 산업혁명의 핵심 분야로 자리매김하고 있다. 메이커 운동의 핵심 장비이자 21세기 새로운 가내수공업의 시발점인 3D 프린터는 여전히 낮은 출력 속도와 한정된 필라멘트 재료로 대량생산의 한계를 드러내고 있지만, 최근 도자 공예가들의 3D 프린터 사용은 기하급수적으로 늘고 있다. 하지만 과거 공예사에서 지난하게 반복되어 온 공예의 경전과 새로운 기술과의 불협화음을 타계하는 방법의 일환으로 본 연구는 3D 프린터를 이용하는 '석고 캐스팅' 기법에 주목했다. 이에 세계 도자 공예분야에서 활발히 석고 기법을 개발해 작가만의 디자인에 적용하고 있는 도예가 토니 한센, 위베 반 간스베크, 제이드 크롬프톤, 류희도의 캐스팅 기법을 분석한 후 효과적인 3D 모델링 방법과 3D 프린터를 이용하는 최적의 슬립 캐스팅 방법의 사례를 제시함으로써 3D 프린터와 공예의 융합을 위한 접점을 찾고자 했다.

플라스틱 가구디자인의 로우테크(low-tech) 기법에 관한 연구 -플라스틱 디자인 수공예적 방법의 가구디자이너를 중심으로- (A Study on the Low-Tech Plastic Furniture Design - Focusing on the Furniture Designers of Handicraft Methods of Plastic Design -)

  • This study shows how the plastic furniture design has developed in general and by contemporary auteurist designers. Plastic furniture design began with Mies van der Rohe's chairs produced with compression moldings, and was later successfully commercialized by Knoll and Herman Miller. Plastic undoubtedly played a significant role in giving modern furniture design its current status with its suitability for efficient mass-production. However, the expectations consumers have for designers have extended by the widespread internet accessibility along with the higher standards of the well-developed design industry, and now mass-production is no more the only key to appealing to those in need. Based on the information gathered from the process above, analyses were done on the works of various design artists in the current industry, which leads to certain suggestions that would help bring the plastic furniture design to the next level as a whole.
