In this paper, the bit-level 1-dimensionl systolic array for modular multiplication are designed. First of all, the parallel algorithms and data dependence graphs from Walter's Iwamura's methods based on Montgomery Algorithm for modular multiplication are derived and compared. Since Walter's method has the smaller computational index points in data dependence graph than Iwamura's, it is selected as the base algorithm. By the systematic procedure for systolic array design, four 1-dimensional systolic arrays ale obtained and then are evaluated by various criteria. Modifying the array derived from 〔0,1〕 projection direction by adding a control logic and serializing the communication paths of data A, optimal 1-dimensional systolic array is designed. It has constant I/O channels for modular expandable and is good for fault tolerance due to unidirectional paths. And so, it is suitable for RSA Cryptosystem which deals with the large size and many consecutive message blocks.
In high performance embedded systems, the use of multiple on-chip memories is an essential architectural feature for exploiting inherent parallelism in multimedia applications. This feature allows multiple data accesses to be executed in parallel. However, it remains difficult to effectively exploit of multiple on-chip memories. The successful use of this architecture strongly depends on how to efficiently detect and exploit memory parallelism in target applications. In this paper, we propose a technique based on a linear array access descriptor [1], which is generated from profiled data, to detect and exploit memory parallelism. The proposed technique tackles an array reorganization problem to maximize memory parallelism in multimedia applications. We present preliminary experiments applying the proposed technique onto a representative coarse grained reconfigurable array processor (CGRA) with multimedia kernel codes. Our experimental results demonstrate that our technique optimizes data placement by putting independent data on separate storage. The results exhibit 9.8% higher performance on average compared to the existing method.
This paper presents the effects of the fin array and pitch on the frost layer growth of a heat exchanger. The numerical results are compared with experimental data of a cold plate to validate the present model, and agree well with experimental data within a maximum error of 8%. The characteristics of the frost formation on staggered fin array are somewhat different from those of in-line array. The frost layer at the first fin of the in-line array grows rapidly, compared to second fin, whereas the difference of the frost layer growth between the fins of the staggered array is small. For fin pitch below 10 mm, the frost layer growth of second fin in the staggered array is affected by that of first fin. The frost layer growth and heat transfer of single fin deteriorate with decreasing fin pitch regardless of fin array, however, the thermal performance of a heat exchanger, considering increase of heat surface area, becomes better.

The thickness of the frost layer and heat transfer of single fin are reduced with decreasing fin pitch regardless of fin array. However, the thermal performance of a heat exchanger is enhanced due to the increase of heat transfer surface area.
In this paper, we have proposed a novel method which can analysis the direction finding ambiguity analysis for array geometry in 3 channel and 4 channel multiple baseline direction finding system. Generally, the direction finding ambiguity in the 3 element and 4 element phase interferometer direction finding system is calculated by the simulation for the array spacing or by the probability with the selected antenna array spacing. There are some restrictions to obtain the ambiguity of direction finding system in these methods. The former performs a simulation with every antenna array spacing and the latter calculates the ambiguity with the selected antenna array spacing. To overcome those restrictions, This paper proposed the novel method to calculate the ambiguity using the imaginary antenna array spacing and the phase difference prior to the modular operation in direction finder. Using the proposed method, we obtain the ambiguity probability for each of array geometry composed of multiple baseline. After performing the simulation with the selected antenna array spacing to verify the proposed method, we compared the calculated result data with the simulation data.
The small form factor optical data storage devices are developing rapidly nowadays. Since it is designed for portable and compatibility with flash memory, its components such as disk, head, focusing actuator, and spindle motor should be assembled within 5 m thickness. The thickness of focusing actuator is within 2 mm and the total working range is $+/-100{\mu}m$, with the resolution of less than $1{\mu}m$. Since the thickness is limited tightly, it is hard to place the yoke that closes the magnetic circuit and hard to make strong flux density without yoke. Therefore, Halbach array is adopted to increase the magnetic flux of one side without yoke. The proposed Halbach array type focusing actuator has the advantage of thin actuation structure with sacrificing less flux density than conventional magnetic array. The optical head unit is moved on the swing arm type tracking actuator. Focusing coil is attached to swing arm, and Halbach magnet array is positioned at the bottom of deck along the tracking line, and focusing actuator exerts force by the Fleming's left hand rule. The working range and resolution of focusing actuator are analyzed with FEM and experiment.

The goal of this paper is to analyze, through simulations and experiments, GNSS interference mitigation performance under various types of antenna structures against wideband and narrowband interferences using spatial-temporal adaptive signal processing (STAP) techniques. The STAP approach, which combines spatial and temporal processing, is a viable means of GNSS array signal processing that enhancing the desired signal quality and providing protection against interference. In this paper, we consider four types of 3D antenna array structure - Uniform Linear Array (ULA), Uniform Rectangular Array (URA), Uniform Circular Array (UCA), and the Single-Ring Cylindrical Array (SRCA) under an interference environment. Analytical evaluation and simulations are performed to investigate the system performance. This is followed by simulation GPS orbits in interfered environment are used to evaluate the STAP performance. Furthermore, experiments using a 2x2 URA hardware simulator data show that with the removal of wideband and narrowband interference through the STAP techniques, the signal tracking performance can be enhanced.
