실내건축교육의 미래적 방향제시를 위한 건축교육 동향에 관한 분석 (Analysis of Issues in Architectural Education for the futune directions of Interior Architectural Education)

  • The objective of this study was to identify the most representative issues of 1990s in the area of architectural design education, which has been interconnected very closely with the interior-architectural design since the history began, to establish a foundational reconstruction of interior-architectural education program. Particularly focusing on the issues of architectural education of 1990s, three subjects of writen materials were examined ; (1) the history of architectural education, (2) the theories of architectural design, (3) the works of architecural students performing the architectural design program in schools. This analysis of existing writings found four major issues of 1990s which are performing the fundamental disscussions in the context of the architectural education, probably these issues would be effecting the future of the architectural design of the future: (1) The expects of Heterogeneity and Multiplicity (2) The effections/penetrations of the world-wide-web (3) The conflicts between globalism and regionalism (4) The breaks of margins in architectural education

  • Since 2002, the market opening of architecture design, reformation efforts and corresponding studies on architectural education system in Korea have been made to meet the standards of international recognition and accreditation. As a result, the importance of design in architecture program has been recognised and reflected on the reformations on the curriculum by increasing hours in design courses, for instance. At the same time, much need is demanded on the qualitative improvement on architectural design education, both on its contents and structure. In addition, the current reformational changes on architectural education in Korea have their bases on the performance evaluation criteria of National Architectural Accrediting Board of America. To improve the quality of architectural program accounting the unique cultural and social requirements of Korea, various perspectives from other countries, besides American system, are needed to be considered and studied for the on-going reformations in architectural education. The purpose of this study is to contribute to the current on-going reformation efforts on the improvement of architectural design education. The study will closely examine the current architectural curriculum in German university and provide a systematic program for introductory architectural design curriculum.

건축설계교육의 형성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Formation of Architectural Design Education)

  • 근대 초기 과거의 전통적인 삶의 양식에서 전혀 다른 생활양식으로의 변화는 건축설계방법의 변화를 가져왔고, 그 변화는 건축설계교육을 통해 확대 재생산되어 현재까지 이르고 있다. 이러한 점에서 근대 초기에 형성된 건축설계교육의 원형을 살펴보고 그 방법론들을 구체적으로 파악하는 것은 현재 이루어지고 있는 건축설계교육의 근원을 찾는다는 점에서도 중요하다. 본 연구는 건축설계교육이 하나의 학문적 영역 또는 교과의 영역으로 자리 잡는 과정을 살펴보고, 그 안에서 체계화되는 과정을 분석하여 건축설계교육의 원형과 형성을 드러내고자 하였다. 그 결과 근대 초기에 형성된 건축설계교육은 두 가지 경향으로 형성되었음을 알 수 있었다. 하나는 창의성을 강조하는 경향이었으며, 다른 하나는 합리성을 강조하는 경향이었다. 이 두 가지가 서로 중합되면서 건축설계교육의 원형이 되었다.

  • 본 논문은 대학의 건축설계수업에서의 효과적인 디자인 교육의 방법을 모색하고자 하는 연구로서 디자인 교육이론을 바탕으로 하는 건축설계 교육모형과 이를 적용한 수업사례를 중심으로 디자인 조형교육으로서의 건축설계교육의 가능성을 고찰하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 본 연구에서 제시된 교육모형과 건축설계수업은, 조형 표현력과 조형이론의 학습, 그리고 기본기능의 훈련과 같은 기초디자인 교육내용을 포함하고 있으며, 수업의 각 과정이 단계별 완성도를 갖고 연속되고, 심층적 발전의 형식을 갖는다는 점에서 건축설계를 위한 기초교육으로서 종합적인 디자인 능력 계발이라는 교육의 목표를 달성할 수 있는 교육모형의 하나가 될 수 있다고 판단된다.

건축교육에서 BIM 프로그램 적용에 관한 연구 (A study on the Practical Adaptation of BIM Programs for Architectural Education)

  • The advent of BIM(Building Information Modeling) design process based on the digital media has brought innovation to the production and management of AEC industry. Accordingly the need for educating BIM professionals has been radically increased both in the real world practice and in academia. Some developed countries have already been studying and establishing the optimized curriculum in the academic architecture courses for BIM based education with multi_efforts using the digital media as design processing tools focused on educating architectural professionals with creativity and productivity. However in the domestic education systems, it is hardly found that researches and curriculums deal with the BIM education in the academia. Thus the objective of this paper is to investigate the architectural design pedagogy in the advanced digital media setting in response to the urgent need for BIM education. This study focuses on developing the curriculum based on practical adaptation of BIM programs for architectural education. It aims to provide students with the basic understanding of BIM theory and the practice of BIM tools as an instrument enhancing the creativity for architectural design. Thus this study proposes an BIM curriculum for the students who first encounter the notion and knowledge of BIM during their academic years. And the education result after the application of this curriculum has been analysed through the students questionnaires before and after the lecture.

BIM 개념을 적용한 건축공학설계교육 사례 분석 (A Case Study of Architectural Engineering Design Education using BIM Concept)

  • The purpose of this research is to analyze a case study of the applicability of BIM concept in architectural engineering design education of 4-year architectural engineering program under ABEEK accreditation. The research method is to introduce a case of architectural engineering design studio and to compare the satisfaction of outcome between BIM S/W and conventional design process. The survey outcome reveals that the satisfaction of BIM S/W is relatively higher than the satisfaction of drawings by hands. The design education outcome is analyzed according the characteristics of expression, revision, relationship, and spatial understanding, etc.

  • Until now, architects have used traditional methods in order to develop architectural forms and use a digital technology as presentation tools. The field of digital technology has been expanded to control easily architectural data, eventually leads to the creation for creative ideas, which were belong to mainly designer's talent. It has been educated by using digital tool in foreign universities but in our case a little university try to do. So we need an adequate curriculum and educational media because of digitalized data, originated architectural form and reduction of time and money. In this paper, as it is surveyed the present situation of architetural education by using digital tool in domestic and foreign country, it can be used as the fundamental data that architectural education by using digital tool is initiated In our universities.

  • BIM은 최근 공공 및 민간 발주자에 의해 활용이 점차 확대 시행 되고 있으며, 설계사무실에서도 BIM을 도입하고자 하고 있다. 이런 흐름에 발맞추어 학부교육에서 BIM의 교육이 필요함을 인지하고, 현재 진행되고 있는 국내 BIM 교육의 현황을 파악하여 학부교육에서 이루어질 수 있는 설계교육 프로세스의 개선을 도출하고자 하였다. 기존에 건축공학 교육과정에 BIM을 활용하여 구조, 시공, 설비의 각 요소의 핵심이 반영된 종합적인 설계가 가능하게 하고자 한다. 3D 중심의 설계를 통하여 구조설계교육을 강화하고 BIM 도구를 활용하여 공정 및 적산을 연계한 시공 CM교육을 강화하고 친환경 사전분석을 통해 친환경설계 교육을 이루도록 설계교육 프로세스를 개선하고자 한다.

  • Public institutions and owners have been introduced to use Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools. Learning BIM becomes an important factor in design process of undergrad program. The purpose of this study is to demonstrate an integrated architectural engineering design process using BIM tools. BIM education programs are analyzed to compare the level of detail in BIM education. An architectural engineering design class needs to involve BIM to introduce integrated process. An architectural engineering design process needs be based on understanding design, building structure, construction and building services. 3D Modeling helps understanding a building structure and checking environment-friendly element analysis. As a result of this research, new process of design education is proposed under four issues.
