건축프로젝트의 질 관리에 있어서 시공분야 개선요소에 관한 연구 (A Study of Improvement Factors in the Construction Phase of the Building Project)

  • Utilizing a building model design of the investigation factors and structured questionnaire, the results of an investigation concerning the improvement factors in the construction phase, as perceived by academic staffs including graduate students, designers, contractors and property management teams, are presented. Findings reveal that management commitment dominate improvement factors for building projects, although construction firms frequently mentioned the team work in design firms. Significant improvements in building projects are obtained when college programs include courses that treat the administrative aspects involved in the building project and that continuing education programs cover quality training. Eighteen predominant selection factors are identified, ranked and correlated.

굴삭기 기반 강관말뚝 두부정리 및 절단 부위 핸들링 로봇의 개념디자인 및 기술적 타당성 분석 (Conceptual Design and Technical Feasibility Analysis of an All-in-one Attachment Based Steel Pipe Pile Cutting Robot)

  • The primary objective of this study is to develop a conceptual design of all-in-one attachment based steel pipe pile cutting robot that improves the conventional work in safety, quality, convenience and productivity. For this, the following research works are conducted sequentially; 1)literature review, 2)field investigation, 3)selection of element technology for conceptual design, 4)deduction of conceptual design and its work process, 5)technical feasibility analysis of the conceptual design and its work process. As a result, leveling laser and laser detector, plasma cutter, rotary grapple are selected as core technologies. Futhermore, a conceptual design and work process of an all-in-one attachment based steel pipe pile cutting robot are developed based on the core technologies. According to the technical feasibility analysis result, at least 76.8% of the respondents are selected positive answer about each device of the all-in-one attachment based steel pipe cutting robot. It is expected that the application range and impact on the construction industry will be enormous due to the increasing trend of the steel pipe pile market.

  • Recently, architectural design has been changing from formal design to freeform design due to the digitalization of construction industry. Especially, the formal design has been accepted as a design trend recently and applied many times as a design concept in the architectural design competitions such as turn-key. However, various deflects such as water leak and cracks have been occurred because the traditional construction methods had been applied without any revision or adaptation of the formal construction method for the freeform building construction. Therefore this research proposes location point control method for freeform metal panel installation which is focused on the application of LH JinJu new office.

  • 지난 10년간 모든 산업의 재해율이 꾸준히 감소하고 있는 반면 건설업의 재해율은 증가 추세에 있어 개선이 시급한 실정이다. 본 연구의 목적은 국내 디자인 안전성 검토 시스템을 해외 사례와 비교 분석하여 국내 디자인 안전성 검토 시스템의 문제점을 도출하고 개선 방안을 모색하는 데 있다. 영국이나 싱가포르처럼 작업설계 초기부터 재검토해야 하고, 건설업 재해 경감을 위한 대규모 건설뿐 아니라 소규모 건설에서도 안전성 검토가 이뤄져야 한다. 특히 관련 제도 미비 등에 대한 제도 마련이 필요한데, 안전시스템 설계는 사업자 중심의 안전관리 체계에서 스펙트럼을 확대하는 것으로 향후 충분한 개선과 연구가 필요하다는 점에서 의미가 있다.

DEVELOPMENT OF STRATEGIES FOR APPLICATION OF 4D MODELING IN CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT

  • In many construction projects, progress and efficiency are hampered by poor communication of discipline-specific models. For example, architects use 2D or 3D CAD models and builders use CPM diagrams, Gantt charts, and spreadsheets to show their view of the project. Nowadays, advanced computer visualization tools, 4D CAD or VR, can show these disparate models to understand cross-disciplinary impacts of design and construction decisions. In Korea, several leading companies have tried to apply these tools to their pilot projects from the design phase to the maintenance phase. These companies have expected that more project stakeholders could understand a construction schedule more quickly and completely with 4D visualization than with the traditional construction management tools. However, modeling of the 4D CAD or VR can be quite time-consuming and expensive to generate manually and has therefore limited the spread and use of these models. In order to adopt widely those models in construction industry, the areas that those tools could support to take large benefits in diverse functional areas of construction management need to be analyzed. In this study, researchers analyze the usefulness and limitations of the 4D models and VR in the construction industry, develop the strategy of application priority, and improve the 4D modeling method.

  • The domestic construction industry in the last 30 to 40 years has accumulated a large stock of buildings that are quickly and there physical age is quickly becoming apparent. Contemporary changes in architecture are fueling changes driven by the increased demand for these new services and facilities. The cost of energy and raw materials are on the rise, and dealing with the waist generated from the creation of new buildings is an emerging problem in the industry today. Thus, building remodeling has emerged as an alternative do to its increased efficiency regarding material usage. The participation of users in the development stages of a remodeling project is essential to its effective implementation in projects. The BIM model used for the design process of building remodeling is the most effective way, due to the increased efficiency gained in many areas. This study will examine a pilot project where a BIM based process was used in the remodeling of an apartment.

  • With domestic construction projects becoming bigger, more specialized and more advanced, the construction industry is striving to improve quality and quantity, and is diversifying functions and shapes. Nevertheless, the process of a construction project causes problems when we estimate construction price, because the cost breakdown structures are different in each step. The primary aim of this study was to estimate building life cycle cost using the Delphi method. The cost breakdown structure for life cycle cost was classified into planning, design, construction, maintenance and waste disposal, and each detailed classification was determined by estimating life cycle cost. Moreover, the developed cost breakdown structure is verified by consulting with experts to secure objectivity and validity.

  • As the needs for the mega-sized, high-rise and irregular shape of building increase, domestic application of BIM in construction industry is increasing in recent years. In this circumstance, interests in BIM modeling and modeling detail level have been also increased. BIM that is based on a three-dimensions, requires a specific and precise building expressions. And model expression level required for each phase such as design, construction, and maintenance of the construction project could be different as its needs. Because that it is not clear to define the criteria for the expression level of construction BIM model, It is difficult to decide how detail and what to model is appropriate in the practical application of BIM model. It could be the reason why the productivity in construction project became lower and lower. In this study we consider the way how to improve the productivity of BIM and analyze the appropriate representation level of construction BIM model through the experts' survey. The results of study could suggest the basis for an appropriate expression level of construction BIM model.

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest the way of automatic building code checking for architectural drawings in the web environment to enhance the utility of CALS/EC standard drawings and efficiency of construction industry business. To fulfil this aim, the authors seek to standardize the architectural drawing automatic checking system by linked drawing information to the STEP based CALS/EC standard format. Therefore, the automatic building code checking system can represent a way of utilizing the relationship between the construction CALS/EC standard drawings and the related study as well as improve the efficient of the construction work by sharing a variety of drawing information.

  • This study proposes a new methodology to increase the flexibility and efficiency of the design data evaluation system by combining Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology in the architectural industry, OpenAI's interactive artificial intelligence, and ChatGPT. BIM technology plays an important role in digitally modeling and managing architectural information. Since architectural information is included, research and development are underway to review and evaluate BIM data according to conditions through program development. However, in the process of reviewing BIM design data, if the review criteria or evaluation criteria according to design change occur frequently, it is necessary to update the program anew. In order for designers or reviewers to apply the changed criteria, requesting a program developer will delay time. This problem was studied by using ChatGPT to modify and update the design data evaluation program code in real time. In this study, it is aimed to improve the changing standards and accuracy by enabling programming non-professionals to change the design regulations and calculation standards of the BIM evaluation program system using ChatGPT. In this study, in the BIM-based design certification automation evaluation program, a program in which the automation evaluation method is being studied based on the design certification evaluation manual was first used. In the design certification automation evaluation program, the programming non-majors checked the automation evaluation code by linking ChatGPT, and the changed calculation criteria were created and modified interactively. As a result of the evaluation, the change in the calculation standard was explained to ChatGPT and the applied result was confirmed.
