  • 대부분의 전자상거래 시스템이 유선 인터넷과 HTML(Hypertext Markup Language)을 기반으로 하고 있다. 그러나, 무선 단말기의 대량 보급으로 무선 인터넷이 인터넷의 새로운 패러다임을 주도하고 있으며, 효율적인 전자상거래를 위하여 HTML기반의 시스템이 XML(eXtended Markup Language) 기반으로 대치되는 과정에 있다. 무선 인터넷은 이동전화나 PDA(Personal Digital Assistant) 등 소형 무선 단말기 상에서 인터넷을 이용할 수 있도록 해주는 프로토콜의 총칭으로 정의되는 WAP(Wireless Application Protocol)과 같은 규약을 이용하여 다양한 서비스를 시간 및 공간의 제약을 받지 않고 무선 장치를 통하여 제공한다. 그리고, XML은 정보나 자료를 처리하는 데 있어 공통의 표준을 적용시킬 수 있고, 이 기종 응용프로그램간의 상호 작용을 중대시키고, 조직간에 정보 공유를 향상시킬 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 WAP과 XML의 장점을 결합한 전자상거래 시스템을 소개한다. 제안된 시스템은 WAP을 이용하여 무선뿐만 아니라 유선으로 실시간 정보 공유를 가능하게 하였고, 기존 시스템에서의 데이터베이스 시스템을 XML데이터로 대체시킴으로 인하여 데이터 저장을 위한 시공간의 비용을 절감시켰다. 뿐만 아니라 XML데이터의 사용으로 메타데이터를 생성 및 가공할 수 있는 방법을 구현하였다.

  • Software architecture and protocols to be maintained between components for the reconfigurable SDR system is analyzed and suggest system design idea for the implementation of software. To do this, related surveys are reviews and set up the system model with the structure of embedded system. SDR system architecture is suggested with five layered structure, consisted with hardware, operating system, middle-ware, service objects and application layer. SDR system is designed to be work on the basis of Linux operating system, and aimed to be scalable and reconfigurable. It is introduced the design result of software protocol and state transition diagram for the implementations of software download function which is the most important feature in SDR.

  • The additional mechanism is required to set up a secure connection among the communication subjects in the internet environment. Each entity should transfer and receive the encrypted and hashed data to guarantee the data integrity. Also, the mutual authentication procedure should be processed using a secure communication protocol. Although the OpenSSL which implements the TLS is using by many developers and its stability and performance are proved, it has a difficulty in using because of its large size. So, this paper designs and implements the secure communication which the users can use easily by modification works of OpenSSL library API. We proved the real application results using the client/server case which supports a secure communication using the implemented API.

  • Devices in current market to perform electrical stimulation therapy of the urinary incontinence frequent in aging women are very much impractical to us ε due to the wired configuration. The present study implemented new wireless device to enhance self as well as in-hospital therapy with the easiest and the most convenient application. The therapy system consisted of two modules, called 'master' and 'slave', communicating with each other by the wireless Bluetooth protocol. The patient controls therapy processes on the master module in hand, transmitting the required informations to operate the slave module placed within her pants with the viginal electrode connected, delivering appropriate electrical stimulation. Wireless communication enabled self therapy with clothes on, leading to a great convenience for the patient. The stimulation output signal was comparable to commercialized products in both waveform and stimulation capacity.

  • 본 논문에서 구현하고자 하는 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 응용에 필요한 위치 인식 시스템의 주 요소는 블루투스 프로토콜 스택(BlueZ)에서 제공하는 RSSI(Received Signal Strength Indicator) 값을 측정하는 블루투스 AP, 측정된 RSSI 값을 위치 인식 서버에 전달하기 위한 무선 AP 공유기 그리고, 받은 데이터로 위치 값을 측정하는 위치 인식 서버 및 Context Broker(고 수준의 상황 정보를 추론하는 서버 역할)로 이루어져있다. 전체적인 동작 시스템은 위치 값을 측정하고자 하는 이동 매제(마스터)를 중심으로 최대 여덟 개까지 네트워크가 가능한 블루투스 AP(슬레이브)장치로 구성된 피코넷(Piconet) 영역에서 삼각측량 필요에 적절한 세 개의 블루투스 AP를 RSSI값을 이용하여 분류 한 후 이동 매체의 위치를 측정한다. 그 결과로 나온 데이터는 피코넷 영역에서 가장 가까운 무선 AP 공유기를 거쳐서 위치 값을 측정하는 위치 인식 서버에 전달한 후, 그 결과 값으로 Context Broker에서 상황 정보를 추론해서 Community Manager에서 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 응용에 맞게 서비스를 구현한다. 또한, 위와 같은 시스템 내부 구조 된 데이터처리는 리눅스 운영체제 내에서 디바이스 드라이버와 사용자 프로그램으로 구현된다.

  • Internet traffic has rapidly increased due to the supplying wireless devices and the appearance of various applications and services. By increasing internet traffic rapidly, the need of Internet traffic classification becomes important for the effective use of network resource. However, the traffic classification scheme is not much studied comparing to the study for classification method. This paper proposes novel classification scheme for multilateral and hierarchical traffic identification. The proposed scheme can support multilateral identification with 4 classification criteria such as service, application, protocol, and function. In addition, the proposed scheme can support hierarchical analysis based on roll-up and drill-down operation. We prove the applicability and advantages of the proposed scheme by applying it to real campus network traffic.

  • Recent advances in sensor network technology have open up challenges for its effective routing. Routing protocol receives most of the attention because routing protocols might differ depending on the application and network architecture. In the rapidly changing environment and dynamic nature of network formation efficient routing and energy consumption are very crucial. Sensor networks differ from the traditional networks in terms of energy consumption. Thus, data-centric technologies should be used to perform routing to yield an energy-efficient dissemination. By exploiting the advantages of both ant colony optimization techniques in network routing and the ability of data centric muting to organize data for delivery, our approach will cover features for building an efficient autonomous sensor network.

  • 최근 가뭄 모니터링을 위해 과거에 비하여 고해상도의, 물리적으로 기반을 두는 정보가 요구되고 있다. 기존에 주로 활용하고 있는 통계적 방법론 기반의 가뭄지수들은 지니고 있는 한계에 대해 여러 개선과정을 거치고 있으나, 기상변수로부터 지표상의 식생 관련 변수로의 전파 과정에 대한 개별 통계적 가뭄지수 간의 관계 설명이 매우 어렵다. 이와 같은 관계로, 국내 유역에서의 물리적 기반을 둔 고해상도 가뭄 판단방법에 대한 시도가 필요한 시점이다. Brown et al. (2008)은 위성기반 식생정보, 기상학적 가뭄지수, 지형학적 조건을 고려한 식생가뭄반응지수(Vegetation Drought Response Index; 이하 VegDRI)를 개발하였다. 학습자료에 대해 CART 기반의 경험적 모델을 구축하여, 격자마다 근-실시간 자료를 적용한 VegDRI를 산출하여 고해상도의 지도를 산출하는 방식을 제시하였다. VegDRI는 NCDC의 U.S. Drought Monitoring에 활용되고 있으며, NOAA의 Drought Task Force Assessment Protocol에서는 가뭄 모니터링의 기준으로 설정되어 있다. 본 연구에서는 국내에 VegDRI를 적용하고자 필요한 자료수집 및 전처리 과정을 거쳐 결과를 도출하였다. 기상청 ASOS 기상관측소에서 얻은 기상변수, MODIS 위성으로부터 추출된 정규식생지수(Normalized Difference Vegetation Index; NDVI), 지형학적 정보와 기상학적 가뭄지수(SPI, PDSI)를 기계학습으로 모델링하여 VegDRI를 산출하였다. 산출된 VegDRI 공간분포도에 대하여 기존에 활용되던 유관기관의 가뭄 판단방법과의 유사성과 차이점을 비교 검토하여 적용성을 평가하였다.

  • Mobile Health (M-Health) system is a recent term for medical and public health practice supported by mobile devices, such as mobile phones, PDAs, and other wireless devices. Mobile Health system has been successfully establishing at few general hospital in Korea. However, to use diverse devices manufactured by various company cause inoperability, and lack of security disappoints customers often. Although the outstanding health environment, most of hospitals are unavailable to share electronic patient records due to lack of standard protocol to handle the interoperability each other. Health Level 7 (HL7) is the best solution for the problem. In this paper, we will analyse a current M-Health service in terms of security and mobile device, and suggest iPhone for the best device against hospital environment. Also, for keep confidentiality of health information and patient privacy, enhanced security mechanism is introduced. As a consequence, interoperable standard, and most appropriate device for supporting staffs and M-Health performance, and enhanced securirty mechanism will be integrated in order to propose improved M-health model.

  • A variety of Generation III/III+ reactor designs featuring enhanced safety and improved economics are being proposed by nuclear power industries around the world to solve the future energy supply shortfall. Nanofluid coolants showing an improved thermal performance are being considered as a new key technology to secure nuclear safety and economics. However, it should be noted that there is a lack of comprehensible design works to apply nanofluids to Generation III+ reactor designs. In this work, the review of accident scenarios that consider expected nanofluid mechanisms is carried out to seek detailed application spots. The Axiomatic Design (AD) theory is then applied to systemize the design of nanofluid-engineered nuclear safety systems such as Emergency Core Cooling System (ECCS) and External Reactor Vessel Cooling System (ERVCS). The various couplings between Gen-III/III+ nuclear safety features and nanofluids are investigated and they try to be reduced from the perspective of the AD in terms of prevention/mitigation of severe accidents. This study contributes to the establishment of a standard communication protocol in the design of nanofluid-engineered nuclear safety systems.
