  • This study applies the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to evaluate service quality of Third-Party Logistics (3PL) service providers. For this, we first conceptualize five dimensions of 3PL service quality (i.e. tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy). We then apply the AHP method to determining the relative weights of five service quality dimensions and eventually selecting the best 3PL service provider. To implement this idea in practice, we conduct an empirical study on four companies providing 3PL services in Korea.

  • DAB(Digital Audio Broadcasting) is a new media service that can provide CD quality audio, various data service, interactive and high quality mobile communications through popular media such as terrestrial broadcasting, satellite, cable TV, and internet. In this paper, a new EPG(Electronic Program Guide) application model is proposed. The model is based on DAB and combines a DAB receiver and PCs so that it can take advantages of using various multimedia services and plenty of internet contents. The developed EPSD(EPG Provider System on DAB) has Web-based Server/Client structure and povides EPG functionalities to client PCs over internet. Therefore, the DAB receiver can be smaller and cheaper, and can develop abundant data services on internet. It can also provide high quality video services and be expected to become an important component in future home network systems.

  • BASMATI 플랫폼은 모바일 사용자 및 어플리케이션을 위한 지역간 클라우드 인프라 연동을 지원하는 시스템이다. 이를 위해 BASMATI 플랫폼은 모바일 사용자를 지원하는 서버 어플리케이션을 이종 클라우드 연동 환경에서 설치하고 제어할 수 있어야 한다. BASMATI 애플리케이션 컨트롤러(Application Controller)는 Application Service Provider(ASP)가 실행하고자 한느 서버 애플리케이션의 생명주기를 관리하고 서비스수준협약(Service Level Agreement, SLA) 위반을 탐지하여 애플리케이션의 재전개(Redeployment)를 포함한 SLA 위반 처리를 수행한다. 본 논문에서는 BASMATI의 애플리케이션 제어기의 요구사항과 그 설계에 대하여 기술한다.

  • The existence of Internet revolutionized the computer and communications world. With the rising demand for accessing the Internet, the mobile technology has incorporated the use of Internet in mobile phones. Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) has combined two of the widest utilized technology today: mobile phones and Internet. This study aims to assess the existing WAP pages offered by the top service providers in the Philippines through usability testing experiments. The paper also aims to identify existing problems in WAP interface by focusing on the errors committed by the users. From the usability study, it was found out that common usability problems are wrong selection of links, unclear grouping of categories, wrong feedback, and redundant links. The type of service provider used is significant in determining the performance of users while experience in accessing WAP is insignificant.

  • Services take place in Internet environment, a formation of the trust relationship between user and service provider for services. Different authentication schemes such as using Certificate of Public Key Infrastructure authentication and using ID/PW for a simple user authentication have been proposed for trust relationship. In addition, in the case of electronic financial transactions, transaction integrity and non-repudiation features are provided. These services are provided in Internet environment, use various measures to ensure service safety. However, it was difficult to prevent attacks using existing security technology because of emergence of MITB attack that manipulate the memory area of the Web browser and social engineering attacks such as phishing/pharming, requires application of new security technologies became. In this paper, we propose a concept of smart secure-pad, and utilize it safely formed a trust relationship between user and service provider, a model has been proposed to ensure safety of data transmission. Proposed model's security evaluation results show security against to MITB attack and phishing/pharming that can't be prevent attack using existing security technology. In addition, service provider can easily apply the model in safe environment can provide Internet service using provided representative services applying the proposed model.

  • Google Maps have changed the response time of Web-GIS using AJAX technologies. In addition, Google released the Open API named Google Maps API(Application Programming Interface) and it lead to the big paradigm on the Open API, where the SDK(Software Development Kit) and ASP(Application Service Provider) had ruled at the related map market. In short, the Open API has been paradigm-shifting for the web mapping. After this, government, many companies and open source foundations have guided Web-GIS market's growth through releasing the relevant Open APIs. So many comparative analysis on web-mapping API carried out by many researches. However there were no researches that can be applied to our current domestic environments. This paper investigates components of web-mapping API. Then we compare how many components supported and enumerate features for each of those APIs. Finally this paper presents direction of future development of Web Mapping API.

  • In ubiquitous environment, various and amount of sensor data information occur continuously and periodically about thing and user from RHO, sensor network of various space. Such, the users from among many of provider who provide sensor service should find service that themselves is wanted. And when service use, service right to user should be provided. But in the current environment of the USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network) Application Service, there is no the registry to find these services but only business- oriented UDDI(Universal Description Discovery, and integration). In addition, when service use, service right to user should be provided but current services provided only services one of the conditions or events. Therefore, rules-based processing system of service event that can provide service according various conditions and events is need. In this paper research into service registry for sensor service search with reference to existing UDDI and event processing system for USN application service with reference to event rule based on web service as WS-ECA(Web Service-Event Condition Action).

  • With the developing of current multimedia broadcasting, user will be provided for lots of various content through the various channel and media. Content provider and consumer want the various service using content with the better quality which is fit to users' preference. For transmitting this content in the limited transmission channel capacity, it needs to transmit the highly compressed content. The content of 3D mesh model-based on MPEG-4 enables the various content service that provides the lower size and the resonable quality, and Personalize(Targeting) service just provide the contents that user more wants and likes. This paper presents the study on the targeting service using compression of 3D mesh model-based on MPEG-4 and the adaptation of Embedded Graphic application program using it.

  • 최근 소프트웨어 유통방식은 웹(Web) 2.0 시대의 도래와 더불어 SOA(Service Oriented Architecture) 웹 서비스(Web Service), 온 디멘드(On Demand), 컴퍼넌트(Component) 등의 개념 및 기술의 발전으로 ASP(Application Service Provider) 방식에서 SaaS(Soft as a Service) 방식으로 빠르게 진화하고 있다. 새롭게 등장하고 있는 SaaS 비즈니스 모델의 시장 경쟁력 결정 요인 분석은 SaaS 비즈니스 모델 중에서도 국내 가장 대표적인 그룹웨어, CRM, ERP 를 중심으로 전략경영이론을 도입하여 기업의 내부 및 외부 경쟁력 결정요인을 마이클포터, 동인분석, 주요 성공요인 분석, SWOT 를 중심으로 접근하고자 한다. 설문조사를 통한 주요 SaaS 비즈니스 모델별 시장 경쟁력 결정 요인에 대한 시론적인 분석 결과는 SaaS 시장 진출 신규 기업 및 정부의 SaaS 시장 육성 방향 설정 그리고 후속적인 연구의 방향을 결정하는데 중요한 벤치마킹 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • Recently, software distribution method, along with advent of era of Web 2.0, is rapidly evolving from ASP(Application Service Provider) method into SaaS(Soft as a Service) method due to development in concepts and technologies including SOA(Service Oriented Architecture) Web Service, On Demand and Component. Determining factor in market competitiveness of newly emerging SaaS business model will be analyzed by focusing on Group-Wares, POS(Point of Sale) System, CRM(Customer Relationship Management) and ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning), which are the most representative SaaS business models in Korea. It is anticipated that the outcome of analysis of determining factors for market competitiveness for each of the main SaaS Business Models acquired through questionnaire survey can be utilized as important benchmarking material in setting the direction of cultivating SaaS market by the government as well as new entries into SaaS market.
