  • A new paradigm is urgently needed to create the textile product that appeal to human Kansei or Gosei. A future of textiles depends heavily on this new paradigm. In order to create new paradigm Kansei color designs by pleasant sound are tried. These computing color designs are treated by the method of Fast fourier Transformation. As several result good color designs are given in forms of ring color patterns and band. But these judgments depend finally on human kansei. These new technology give us good hints in order to create new paradigm that appeal to Kansei goods. This new concept should be developed to higher level by additional improvements.

The Effect of Warning Labels on Cigarette Packages: Textual vs. Textual-Visual and Self-Efficacy

  • The small number of fusion research that addresses fear-appeal and self-efficacy in the effectiveness of warning labels cause the label is not clear, then the purpose of the study is the first to examine the effect of the combination of the message. With the experimental method, a total of 240 participants were smokers consist of Indonesian university students in the age range 18-23 years. Data obtained then processed with ANOVA statistical methods and Test T. The results are consistent with previous studies that the visual warning labels more effective than the textual warning labels alone. Results also suggest that a warning label should be both visual and textual messages combined with self-efficacy. Limitations, this study does not differentiate among smokers and non-smokers, in addition to the images are used only one type of disease, so that the research needs to be done to distinguish these factors.

Shopping Orientation and Clothing Benefit Sought by the Preference for Fast-Fashion

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the differences in shopping orientation and clothing benefit sought of a group of consumers according to the preference for fast-fashion. Data were collected from a questionnaire conducted on 416 female adults. The results were as follows. First. the factor analysis used to identify shopping orientation involved the following five factors: hedonic. economic. convenient. brand-oriented. and relation-oriented. The dimensions of the clothing benefit sought consisted of fashion. social status. practicality. figure flaw compensation. and sex appeal. Second. the differences in shopping orientation and clothing benefit sought according to the preference for fast-fashion were identified using a t-test. The consumer group preferring fast-fashion exhibited a hedonic. convenient shopping orientation. and the non-preferring group exhibited an economic. brand-oriented shopping orientation. The consumer group preferring fast-fashion pursued fashion and sex appeal clothing benefits. and the non-preferring group pursued social status and practicality clothing benefits.

The Influence of Message Frame and Appeal on the Effectiveness of Social Media in Dietary Behavior

  • The goal of this study is to identify how different types of messages can contribute to the effectiveness of social media in healthier dietary behavior. The sample consisted of 160 participants who use social media and participants were randomly assigned to one of the four experimental conditions. The study shows that a positively framed message paired with a health focused message and a negatively framed message paired with a body image focused message exhibit a positive eWOM and message perception. This research offers direction for development of appropriate message types to improve social media effectiveness. Social media marketers and advertisers can develop social media content on healthier dietary behavior.

  • Purpose The purpose of this study was to investigate the experience cues of chatbot services provided to existing customers familiar with the e-commerce environment, and to examine the effect of chatbot service's experience cues on customer experience and chatbot trust. Design/methodology/approach This study was conducted on consumers who experienced chatbot services in an e-commerce environment, the final 299 copies of valid data were obtained, and the research hypothesis was verified using PLS as a structural equation model. Findings As a result of the analysis, it was found that functional cues that cause customer experiences using chatbot services had a positive effect on cognitive and emotional experiences, human cues had a positive effect on cognitive, emotional and relational experiences, and customer experiences had a positive effect on chatbot trust.

Web Usability Testing by Using Scanpath Similarity Analysis (탐색경로 일치도 분석을 이용한 웹사이트 사용성 평가)

  • This study was performed to determine the usefulness of scanpath similarity analysis as one of new web usability testing. The 5 websites of public institutions were used and 15 students participated. First of all, eye movements were tracked and visual appeal ratings were measured as participants freely viewed each website for 3 seconds. Subsequently in continuously tracking the eye movements we asked the participants to perform 17 missions. Finally, in interview the participants rated on satisfaction, awareness, and mission difficulty. Results of this study showed that scanpath similarity had a significant relationship with both the visual appeal ratings(first impression) and the satisfaction. In other words, higher the visual appeal ratings were related to higher scanpath similarity. This result showed that measurement such as scanpath similarity of eye movements could become an objective index for usability testing instead of subjective evaluation such as the satisfaction. We discussed possibility that the usability testing by using the scanpath similarity with both fixation and duration on eye movements will find more appropriately inference on observers' experiences in websites.

  • The discussions on Korean advertisement have been continued since 1980's. Comparing with other fields, years of research had not bear as fruitful achievements as we expected. The present situation where korean own culture has been disappearing day by day, this thesis will have significant meaning by investigating Korean culture and advertisement reflecting its culture. This thesis put emphasis on consumers who have been neglected by discussions. So I intended to study the expression of Korean advertisement and their attitudes focused on celluar phone. To investigate their attitudes, I first settled the concept of Korean Advertisement, then posed questions for identifying a shift in their altitudes. As a result of posing questions, I can see that they take friendly attitudes toward Korean advertisement regardless of their ages. And the younger they are, the less they are friendly with advertisement. The element of appeal was differentiated between ages and appeal by korean own sentiment is more effective. I think this outcome verifies the necessity to have concerns on Korean advertisement and make distinct advertisement strategy keeping step with advertisement targets.
