Analytical Evaluation of Airborne Noise for the Building Structure' on Railway Transportation Systems (철도부지 상부 입체 건축물의 공기전달음 소음 예측)

  • The useful practical land shall be reserved when an artificial land covers the railway and road. However, the problem is that since the artificial land places directly on the top of noise sources likely on the railway and road there will arise the weak points, noise and vibration. On this study based on creating the artificial land on the top of a railway vehicle base and placing a tenement on that land, it was comprehended the noise influence from the railway car through the simulation. In order to secure the input value for the simulation, at first measured the noise condition of the railway station building and the railway vehicle base. The output value for the railway station building (place A) was around (53.6~57.6) dB(A), the equivalent continuous sound level for an hour, and for the railway station building (place B) it was around (63.7~68.9) dB. The maximum outdoor noise of the tenement on the artificial land was measured as 64.1 dB(A) under the fixed condition on the simulation modeling. The built purpose of placing the artificial land to prevent the noise influence from the railway met the expectation to be less influenced on the tenement. Rather, because of placing the artificial land the noise level on the lower space could be increased so there requires having a noise control.

  • It becomes increasingly important to develop sustainable housing to protect environment. The certification system for long-life housing was made to use houses for more than one hundred years in 2014. The long-life housing should be able to meet new demands by change of the population structure; low birthrate, aging and increase of single households. Therefore, it is necessary to suggest a prototype of long-life housing for partial rent. The objective of this study is to suggest a prototype for dividing housing in the long-life validation complex, which has design consideration for dividable house. The construction costs of a prototype for dividing housing is evaluated by comparing with other prototype without regard to dividing housing. The results were as follows: (1) The prototype for diving housing should be added an entrance, bathroom, kitchen for tenant, and above all, maintenance fees for tenant have to be managed seperately from house owner. (2) The equipment system for dividing housing should be designed when planning the space of house. However, design for diving housing should be reflected the unit plan at a minimum on what will and will not happen.

The Analysis on the Correlationship for Rousing Demands and Water Supply Ratio (주택수요 예측을 위한 주택량과 상수도보급률의 상관성 분석)

  • The analysis described in this paper indicate the existence of a correlationship for housing demand and water supply ratio. Using subjective statistical data for the trend of population on regional area, water supply ratio and the number of households, the paper examines the correlationship of forecasting factors for apartments in the ways in which the tendency of demands for apartments and water supply ratio have been analyzed within small and mediumsized city. Differences in the correlationship on the several scale of a city are also taken into account in the analysis. The summary table of the tendency for housing supplies, population and water supply ratio on each scale of a city was generated using data from LAIB. This study attempted to address certain factors that are measurable within a specified paradigm, in order to investigate the extent to which the expectation of apartment supplies can be estimated from the correlationship of water supply ratio. Therefore, it can be suggested that the limited scale of a city are set to maintain the correlationship for housing demands and water supply ratio.

  • Despite the changes to demands and perceptions according to building deterioration, most of the previous studies on remodeling have focused on apartment buildings, which are residential buildings. Few studies have been conducted on buildings for general commercial use, or office buildings. Accordingly, this study set out to prepare a set of performance criteria to assess the remodeling feasibility of office buildings. For that purpose, 23 assessment items were devised, their importance was tested, 13 were extracted, and a set of scoring criteria for each item was prepared. Case analysis was conducted to check the reliability of the assessment items and scoring criteria. Through this analysis, it was found that the criteria were reliable.

  • Many buildings have been bolt in Korea. Because blasting operations and more efficient to make excavate rock than other methods, it's more extensively used for new construction, enlargement of buildings, subway work, etc. However, blasting vibrations and sound often create pollution. A study, 'The place of gathering earth and sand to construct a building site in Yangsan', has been done in Gyo-dong, in Yangsan. There are two high-rise apartment and buildings, beside a construction site. The blasting vibrations and sound were monitored on the 1st, 4th floors in building(4th floor), and the results of the analysis are as follows: The blasting vibrations decreased being transmited from 1st floor to 4th floor.

  • A lot of buildings, especially apartment housing, have been dismantled so as to enhance the value of the building without exact assesment for the service life and deterioration degree of the building. Remodeling for an aged building is becoming a hot issue to owners in the public sector and the private sector. Peoples including owner, tenants, constructors recognize the fact that the efficient maintenance of the building during the service life and lengthening the practical service life are very important in point of minimizing LCC. This study suggest a decision making system to judge whether to remodel(renovate) or to reconstruct an aged building. The system is composed of structural performance assesment elapsed(or practical service) life evaluation against whole service life, deterioration assesment of the building equipment, dweller's satisfaction, etc.

  • Remodeling is an architectural activity that transforms the existing state of specific building which has been aged and clichedinto new state overcoming those aged and cliched state. Remodeling can be a means to increase building's physical lifecycle and also a countermeasure to cope with the changes in use that are from social demand, use and technical development. The performance evaluation on the remodeling tenement shall be done by understanding the performance and state of the building before and after remodeling and then it shall represent the improvement in performance objectively by comparing the differences before and after remodeling. In this aspect, we performed basic research to conduct performance evaluation on the remodeling tenement by comparing and analyzing the performance evaluation and performance certificate systems of Korea and Japan in order to suggest objective evaluation system on the change of tenement building before and after remodeling.

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate air ventilation using wind patterns of MetPhoMod program at nighttime focused on Changwon-si, Gyeongsangnam-do. Evaluation indices of air ventilation are wind resistant and retention used by results of each wind speed and diversity. The results are as follows. Vulnerable areas of air ventilation are Bonglim-dong, Bansong-dong, Yongji-dong and so on. In high-rise apartment, commercial area and single residential area of Yongji-dong, Sangnam-dong and Sapa-dong, wind is stagnated by high buildings. Therefore, these areas should construct urban spaces to circulate the wind. And to inflow persistingly the fresh wind generated in a rural area, we think that the construction of wind corridor is suggested by development plan and policy wind corridor.

Characteristic Analysis of Utilization of Security Deposit for Repairing Defects Using Statistical Analysis (통계분석을 이용한 공동주택 하자보수보증금 특성 분석)

  • This study was conducted to analyze the actual utilization rate of the deposit for defect repair of apartment complexes and its influential factors. We analyzed the data on enforced defect deposit cases by using one-sample t-test, Pearson's correlation analysis, and simple linear regression analysis. The difference between the deposit amount specified and the enforcement amount actually disbursed was found to about 0.51%. The change rates for short-term costs amounted approximately to $839KRW/m^2$ and 130,000 KRW/household per year, and those for long-term costs were $647KRW/m^2$ and 123,207 KRW/household per year. The results warrant the need for further research on establishing a deposit amount based on actual statistical data.

Assessment of Optimum Reinforcement of Rebar for Joint of PHC Pile and Foundation Plate (고강도 콘크리트 말뚝과 기초판 접합부의 최적 철근보강량 산정)

  • Method of protruding steel bar embedded in PHC pile for connecting with foundation plate is an intermediate form of fixed and hinged connection and has often been used in architectural structures such as apartment complex. However, mechanical properties of this method have not been proved and its construction process is not simple. In this study, therefore, by analyzing previous research and by considering ratio of steel bar and concrete in PHC pile, which is minimum reinforcement of rebar, the newly optimized method of reinforcing joint of PHC pile and foundation plate is suggested with respect to PHC pile type (PHC 450, PHC 500, and PHC 600). To assess mechanical properties (ultimate tensile and shear strength) of joint of PHC pile and foundation plate, full scale experimental tests are performed. As a result, all cases are satisfied with required design criteria and can be practically applied. Our results indicate that reduction of rebar reinforcement compared to previous method would lead cost saving in PHC pile construction.
