브랜드 아파트의 주동 입면 디자인에 대한 소비자들의 선호도에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Preference of Consumers for facade Design with Brand Concepts in Apartments)

  • In the recent years, domestic construction companies have tried to differentiate their apartments using brand positioning. Respective construction companies are attracting public attention with discriminative brands. This study investigated residents' preferences focusing on apartments facade design used in marketing strategy of brand apartments. Four concepts in surveyed brand apartments are deluxe, modern, eco-friendly and comfortable. According to the related study on design factor of apartment facade, the design factors are chosen such as the overall building shape, balcony form, main color, exterior wall shape, material, main access shape, pent house design and window size. As a result of analysis, there was a difference between brand concepts and consumers' views. Therefore, apartment facade design to differentiate their own companies' brand images should consider the perception of customers.

  • Summary of experiments for the investigation of a fire which caused an upward fire spread for over 12 floors through balconies in a high-rise apartment complex is reported. The experiments include indoor tests to obtain fire properties of vertical PMMA fences and outdoor ones with a full scale model of the balcony. The test results suggest significance of the increase of total flame height by the merging of flames and a cooperative effect of the burning of the PMMA fence and combustibles on the balconies for the generation of a tall flame enough to cause ignition on the upper floors.

고층아파트 화재시 발코니 확장에 따른 화재 위험성에 관한 실험 연구 (An Experimental Study of Fire Risk Characteristic by Extended Balcony of High-Rise Apartments in Fire)

  • Changes in the styles of communities are leading of increases in the number of high-rise apartments and commercial-apartment structures. Tall high-rise structures, while presenting unique economies of scale and cost effectiveness, tend to be highly engineered and complex structures. In the event of a fire, this complexity in design also results in a complexity in the behavior of fire propagation and control. High-rise structures are among the most potentially dangerous due to the high population density in the building, and the inherent limitations on evacuation and on fire control services. One of the most critical points of fire propagation is the movement of fire through the outer wall structures. Controlling such propagation is essential in controlling the spread of the fire throughout the building itself, as well as controlling the potential for its spread to adjacent buildings. In this study, we will be examining the potential for fire control design and effects mitigation using a 1/4.5 scale model. The primary focus of the study will be the effects of extended balconies into the structure of high-rise apartments. The authors will also consider the effectiveness of reduced-scale model tests.

  • Small apartment housings in Korea are dissatisfied due to the growing areas and changing lifestyle of the residents. Many of them currently confronted with slum areas and kinds of housing stock accumulated much more in Korean contexts. An extention of the existing small houses could be an adaptation model to the increasing requirement standards of the house residents. The new model could support diverse identification of the dwelling model in a settlement and many residents could be satisfied with the settlement. This paper deals with the unification typology of two dwelling units to one in order to remodel existing small apartment houses on the 15-pyung areas (N type) constructed by Korea National Housing Corporation in Naju. The proposed type of the merging of the dwellings remove concrete panel walls, make a path through balcony and attach a living areas to the front of the houses in order to make a circulation between the dwellings. A stair hall can be located in-between or inside the merged houses. It can also enhance privacy against conflictive activities in a house and possibly provide space appropriate for three-generation living. It can be devided for the multi-family use. Finally, the merging types of two dwelling units into one can be used as a device to get rid of the monotonous characteristics and gain diversity in the declining stock housing.

경남지역 중대형 아파트의 단위세대 평면구성 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of he Space Composition of the Medium Large Size Apartments' Unit Plan in Gyeongnam)

  • This study attempts to analyze the characteristics of the space composition of the apartments and the general principles of apartments unit plans in Gyeongnam. Literature review and content analysis method were used in his research. The data of 108 unit plans were collected from e-catalogue and model houses of housing construction firms. The results of this study were as follows; 1) The general principle of Gyeongnam apartment unit plans, the tendency of 4LDk+2BATH type, 4bay, central type living room were showed. 2) In the point LDK and couple's bed room, LDK area become large and open type and couple's bed room were showed bed room+dress+powder+bath type as Maser's zone. 3) The entrance has a intermediate space as a balcony or a former space and the privacy of LDK space was protected from the entrance. 4) In the case of support space, generally support kitchen and laundry space were offered and several balconies were utilized. In fact, he differences of apartment plan composition between central cities and Gyeongnam were no showed. Therefore, these tendencies on plan composition of apartment in Gyeongnam were followed the general principles of Korean unit plans.

겨울철 연소오염원에 의한 도심 고층 아파트의 실내공기오염 (Indoor Air Pollution of a High-rise Apartment Caused by Combustion Sources in Winter)

  • Home is a major living environment of children. In urban area, indoor air at home could be severely influenced by combustion sources such as vehicle exhaust and cooking. In this work, the air quality of a high-rise apartment was investigated by monitoring combustion-related air pollutants at both indoor and outdoor in winter of 2014. From 48-h continuous monitoring data, large amount of $NO_x$ was observed at the balcony of the high-rise apartment during the morning traffic hours. It deteriorated indoor air quality of the apartment. During the cooking activity, high peak episodes of ultrafine particles were seen. It was concluded that effects of vehicle exhaust and cooking activity on the indoor air of the high-rise apartment could be easily checked by $NO_x$ and ultrafine particle indicators, respectively.

  • These days, Apartment is altered oversized and high-rise through construction techniques development. Also, the cost of cooling and heating load would be expected by balcony expansion into inner space caused by legalization. In specially, HVAC systems of high-rise residential building almost apply to pre-existence techniques of middle and low residential building except for consideration and methods of the air inflow minimization into indoor through mechanical ventilation is used in ventilation system. From these cause, window systems of high-rise apartments stands high in estimation of components. Thus, purpose of this study is to make a comparative study through difference of window systems.

공동주택의 실내공간구성에 대한 확대 및 노인가족 노인의 선호 - 울산지역의 공동주택 거주 노인을 중심으로 - (Preference of the Old-aged for Interior Space Organization of Multi-family Houses - Focused on the Elderly of Multi-family Houses in Ulsan -)

  • The ratio of old persons among the total population is rapidly increasing and the apartment has become to the representative housing type in Korea. This means that many old persons would live in multi-family houses. Therefore the study was intended to examine the preferred characteristics of interior space organization in multi-family house by the aged. The characteristics were the number and usage of bedroom, necessity and type of dress room, type of living room, arrangement of work centers in kitchen, LDK type, the number and layout of bathroom, and type of entrance and balcony. The subjects were 122 old persons who lived in multi-family houses in Ulsan. The individual interview was carried out for collecting the data. The results were as the followings; The characteristics of interior space organization in multi-family houses preferred by the elderly were three bedroom, two bathroom, DK or LDK type, open planned living room, L shape arrangement of kitchen work center, entrance connected directly to outdoor space such as elevator hall or corridor, and the balcony located in front of living room and at the back of small bedroom. Even thouth the average age of population has increased, many apartments still be planned and provided without consideration of old persons. This study would contribute to plan the multi-family houses for the elderly.

광기능성 창호시스템의 동절기 채광특성에 관한 목업연구 (Full-scale Mock-up Measurement of a Double Glazed Window System Equipped with Sunlight Controls)

  • Besides genuine skin and clothes, it is called that building is third skin for us. That means the skin of buildings is the most important factor for our man-made environment. The issues in designing the building envelope include the insulation, infiltration, ventilation and bridging in windows. Getting light into the space safely and providing views to outdoor, additionally, are key things with the building envelope design. A deep-rooted preference for full view is still alive with large area of glass. Balcony expansion is legalized in apartment houses, which causes lots of environmental problems. Without balcony space, the adjacent space to unshaded window is exposed to the direct sun. A window can have many layers and the inner space can be utilized with an automatic blind system. Recently, the refurbished version of a double-glazed window system has been developed for the purpose of minimizing energy loss occurred around windows. For the better daylight control with equipped blind system, a set of adjustment technique of blind slats was tested in a mock-up building and recommended the detail operation. Not surprisingly, the optimized blind system can be oriented to enhance the uniformity in light distribution and direct glare from the sky as well..

한옥의 경사처마와 이중바닥구조에 관한 연구 (A Study on the inclined balcony and double deck structure of Korean traditional housing)

  • 본 논문은 공동주택에 적용 가능한 한옥구조 평면기술에 관한 연구로서, 한옥의 특징들을 구조적, 기능적 측면으로 분석하여 이를 공동주택 평면에 적용하는 방안을 제안하였다. 기존 지붕처마 각도를 중심으로 하지, 동지의 남중고도를 반영한 실내 일사깊이를 계산하여 효율적인 슬래브 경사 및 층고를 갖는 경사발코니 구조를 제안하였다. 이는 해당 슬래브 하부층에 적용되는 것으로 기존의 단층적인 한옥의 한계를 극복하여 모든 층의 동일한 일사량 및 전망권을 제공할 수 있으며 한옥의 정원개념을 수직공동주택에 적용가능하게 해준다. 전통 한옥의 처마 내밀기와 귀솟음을 응용한 경사발코니의 각도는 30o도 내외가 적당하고, 층고는 $4.5{\pm}0.25m$가 경제적인 것으로 분석되었다. 또한 기존 한옥의 뜬 바닥 구조를 분석하여 소음, 진동, 온도 전달에 관련된 원리들을 공동 주택 평면에 적용 가능하도록 개선안을 모색하였으며 기존 공동주택과 달리 복층바닥구조는 단일슬래브에 비하여 바닥충격음 66%정도 저감되는 것으로 나타났다. 이중바닥구조는 주택 평면에서 사라지고 있는 수직적 공간(다락 및 하부저장공간)을 제공함으로써 효율적인 내.외부 공간관리가 가능한 것으로 나타났다.
