영화 의상을 통해 본 블루머 의상(bloomer costume)에 관한 고찰­영화"오스카와 루신다(OSCAR and LUCINDA)"를 중심으로­ (A Study on the bloomer costume on the movie costume­Focusing on "OSCAR and LUCINDA"­)

  • Costume in movies are used as an instrument to signify the personality image and status of characters, and even the main theme of movie itself. The purpose of this paper is to verify the feministic meaning of bloomer costume used in movie, 「OSCAR and LUCINDA」. The bloomer costume was anti-fashion in crinoline period, when women was normally not allowed to put on trousers. To achieve the purpose, I used content analysis to obtain meanings from existing literature and video tapes(including, slides and pictures). Bloomer costume, introduced by Mrs. Amelia Bloomer at 1850s, is an anti­fashion to express women's right to wear trousers that were exclusively used by men since the medieval age. In this sense, bloomer costume itself is a costume expressing values of women's emancipation movement. In 「OSCAR and LUCINDA」, heroine, Lucinda, with bloomer costume is described as a woman who has strong motivation toward work, who actively looks for a man she loves, and who has free­will to involve herself in what she wants, even gambling. This is not surprising in a sense that Lucinda's bloomer costumes itself signifies the meanings of feminism. I found that bloomer costume was well described in the movie from the historical point of view. But some details, including type of trousers, were expressed without strict historical evidence. Overall, it is certain that 「OSCAR and LUCINDA」, with a heroine wearing bloomer costume was a big step towards women's emancipation in movies.

극지 운항 선박 Ice Belt Zone의 도장 사양 설계 연구 (A Study on Coating Performance Design for Ice Belt Zone of the Arctic Vessels)

  • The demand for an ice class ship is rising expected to rise according to the increase of energy consumption and the opening of arctic sea routes. Ice class ship should be designed to cope with the severe environmental conditions of arctic sea such as a high mechanical impact and abrasion damage, caused by pack ice, ice bergs and low temperature. The ice class ship hulls are coated with an anti-abrasion and low friction coating such as a solvent free epoxy or high solid-volume epoxy. These coatings require two-component heating pump and a high grade surface preparation. In this study, the coating performances for the arctic vessels, such as puncture absorbed energy, abrasive wear loss, friction coefficients and impact absorbed energy were evaluated. Based on this study, a proper coating performance specification for the arctic vessels was proposed and coating selection guideline in terms of coating performance and workability was also established.

잠김 방지 기능을 가지는 비접촉식 와전류형 제동장치의 견실제어 (Robust Control of an Anti-Lock Eddy Current Type Brake System)

  • A conventional contact type brake system which uses a hydraulic system has mny Problems such as time delay response due to pressure build-up, brake pad wear due to contact movement, bulky size, and low braking performance in high speed region. As vehicle speed increases, a more powerful brake system is required to ensure vehicle safety and reliability. In this work, a contactless brake system of an eddy current type is proposed to overcome problems. Optimal torque control which minimizes a braking distance is investigated with a scaled-down model of an eddy current type brake. It is possible to realize optimal torque control when a maximum friction coefficient (or desired slip ratio) corresponding to road condition is maintained. Braking force analysis for a scaled-down model is done theoretically and experimentally compensated. To accomplish optimal torque control of an eddy current type brake system, a sliding mode control technique which is, one of the robust nonlinear control technique is developed. Robustness of the sliding mode controller is verified by investigating the braking performance when friction coefficient is varied. Simulation and experimental results will be presented to show that it has superior performance compared to the conventional method.

항공기의 탄소 디스크 브레이크의 내마모성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Antiabrasion of the Aircraft Carbon Disk Brake)

  • ABS(Anti-skid Brake System) had been developed on purpose of most effect at breaking in limited runway. An aircraft has a large amount of kinetic energy on landing. When the brakes are applied, the kinetic energy of the aircraft is dissipated as heat energy in the brake disks between the tire and the ground. The optimum value of the slip during braking is the value at the maximum coefficient of friction. An anti-skid system should maintain the brake torque at a level corresponding to this optimum value of slip. This system is electric control system for brake control valve at effective control to prevent slip and wheel speed or speed ratio. In this study we measured the thickness of the carbon disk before and after to find its wear and it shows that carbon disk brake has higher stiffness and strength than metal disk at high temperature. In addition, thermal structural stability and appropriate frictional coefficient of the carbon disk brake prove its possible substitution of metal disk brake.

간극효과를 고려한 증기발생기 전열관의 3차원 유한요소해석 (3-D Finite Element Analyses of Steam Generator Tubes Considering the Gap Effects)

  • Steam generator is one of the main equipments that affect safety and long term operation in nuclear power plants. Fluid flows inside and outside of the steam generator tubes and induces vibration. To prevent the vibration the tubes are supported by AVB (anti vibration bar). When the steam generator tube contact to AVB, it is damaged by the accumulation of wear and corrosion. Therefore studies are required to determine the effects of the gap between the steam generator tube and AVB. In order to obtain the stress and the displacement distributions of the steam generator tube, three dimensional finite element analyses were performed by using the commercial program ANSYS. Using the calculated the stress and the displacement distributions, the static residual strength of the steam generator tube can be evaluated. The results show that the stress and displacement of the steam generator tube increase significantly compared with the results from a zero-gap model.

숙신이미드계 화합물의 합성 및 그의 윤활특성 (Synthesis and Lubricant Additive Properties of Succinimidyl-type Compounds)

  • 윤활유 첨가제 중간체로서 Alkenyl Succinic Anhydride (ASA)계열인 i-(2',5'-diketotetrahydrofuranyl)octadacenyl acid (OSA)를 oleic acid (OA)와 maleic anhydride (MA)의 ene-reaction을 통하여 합성하였다. 이 반응의 진행과정은 GC분석을 통해 관찰함으로써 확인하였다. 숙신이미드 화합물은 알킬아민과 OSA와의 반응에 의해 합성되었다. 이 숙신이미드 화합물들은 윤활유 첨가제로서 항유화성, 내마모성, 방청성능 등을 시험하였으며, 이때 상대적으로 긴 알킬사슬을 가진 octadecylamine 유도체가 우수한 물성을 나타내었다.

이탈리아의 미래주의 복식 선언문과 그 복식연구 (A Study on the Futurist Manifestos and Clothing in Italy)

  • The works of the Futurism were developed along with manifestos and statement in publishing. Futurist aesthetic and ideological agenda on futurist fashion displayed in manifestos on clothes. Futurist fashion propagated in consummate Futurist style through the written manifesto. The Futurists anticipated much of modern fashion phenomenon. In Futurist Men's Clothing, men's clothing is aggressive, agile, dynamic, simple and comfortable, hygienic, gay, luminous, volatile, asymmetric and variable. In Futurist Manifesto on Woman's Clothing, woman is now a principal agent of revolt, a walking synthesis of the audacious, performance-oriented aesthetic of the futurist universe. For Futurist woman's clothing they claimed ingenuity, daring, and economy. The Futurist Manifesto of Italian Hat was continued with their provocative style and radical ambition. Their innovation will rescue a lagging Italian expert and restore the Italian male to his former Iatin Vigor. Speed, dynamic, utility, and funtionality are the main characters. In Futurist Manifesto of Italian Cravat, Futurist cravat is called Anti-cravatta, which is anti-traditional style and made of unconventional materials. In general, the Futurist argued for clothes that promoted simple and functionality. These Futurist fashion project were invention of the new style, avant-garde style, in daily wear and were realized for the renewal of taste in clothing design as a modernizing factors.

윤활유첨가제로써 마모억제 성능을 갖는 Dimethacryloyloxy Alkane 유도체에 관한 연구 (A Study on Dimethacryloyloxy Alkane Derivatives Having an Anti-wear Performance as Lubricating Oil Additives)

  • Zinc dialkyldithiophosphate (ZDDP)와 같이 금속을 포함한 윤활유 첨가제는 값이 싸다는 이점 때문에 널리 사용되고 있으나, 재와 같은 불순물이 발생한다는 단점이 있다. 본 연구에서는 ZDDP를 부분적으로 대체하여 zinc와 같은 금속을 포함하지 않는 구조인 알칸디올로부터 유래하는 bis[3-(dialkyloxyphosphorothionyl) thio-2-methylpropanyloxy] butane(BAP4)을 간편하고 효율적으로 합성하였고, 합성한 BAP4 화합물들에 따른 내 마모 특성을 살펴보았다. 여러 가지 알킬기가 있는 BAP4 화합물들이 4-ball 시험법에 의해 마모 직경(Wear scar diameter, WSD) 값이 측정되었다. BAP4 화합물에서 알킬기가 4에서 8로 증가함에 따라 WSD 값은 0.59 mm에서 0.45 mm로 급격히 감소했으나, BAP4의 알킬기가 8에서 14로 증가할 경우 WSD 값은 0.45 mm에서 0.50 mm로 서서히 증가했다. 따라서 BAP4 화합물 중 가장 WSD 값이 적게 나타난 것은 B8P4이었다. 윤활기유에 B8P4와 ZDDP를 0.50 wt%로 첨가하여 4-ball 시험을 실시한 결과, B8P4와 ZDDP의 WSD 값은 각각 0.45, 0.54 mm로 측정되었다. 또한, 열 중량 분석기(Thermogravimetric Analyzer, TGA)를 통해 열안정성을 확인하였고, 에너지 분산형 X-선 분광분석기(Energy-Dispersive X-rays Spectroscopy, EDS)로 tribofilm이 제대로 형성되었는지를 측정하였다.

온열안마기용 섬유재료의 내구성 향상 (Durability Enhancement of Textile Materials for Thermotherapy Massager)

  • 온열안마기의 내부천으로 사용되고 있는 직물의 내구성을 향상시키고자 기존 PET/면 혼방직물의 마모현상을 분석하고, 그 문제점을 보완할 수 있는 난연성 PET 직물을 설계/제조한 후 물리적 성능 및 내구성을 평가하였다. 기존 직물의 경우 구동부분의 반복적인 마찰에 의한 마모뿐만 아니라, 구동시 내부천의 이동에 의해 발생하는 접힘 현상이 회복되지 못하기 때문에 직물의 파손이 가속화되는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 섬유재질의 변경, 신축사, 강연사, 조직의 변경 등을 적용하여 물리적 성능 및 내마모성을 크게 개선한 내부천을 제조하였다. 특히 신축사를 사용 한 직물의 내구성은 크게 향상되어 기존 직물 대비 2배 이상의 사용시간을 증가시킬 수 있었으며, 강연사를 사용한 직물은 약 1.5배 정도 내마모시간이 증가하는 결과를 얻었다.

도시철도 터널 내 청소장치별 집진먼지 비교 분석 (A Comparative Analysis of Dust Particles Collected by Cleaning Equipments in Subway Tunnel)

  • Air pollution in subway tunnel is primarily caused from the wear of metallic materials. As undesirable substance, PM(Particulate Matter) can especially harm the health of passengers and workers as well as clog the main parts of rolling stock such as inverters. To improve the air quality in subway tunnel, SMRT(Seoul Metropolitan Rapid Transit Corporation) has developed anti-pollution devices such as Magnetic Dust Collector, Vacuum Cleaner For Rail Road and Particulate Removing Sprinkler Vehicle. Introducing these mechanical devices, this paper is mainly devoted to explaining the characteristics of collected dust according to the result of particle-size analysis and componential analysis.
