Experimental investigation of steel fiber effects on anti-penetration performance of self-compacting concrete

  • Steel fiber reinforced self-compacting concrete (SFRSCC) has good workability such as high flowability and good cohesiveness. The workability, compressive strength, splitting tensile strength, and anti-penetration characteristics of three kinds of SFRSCC were investigated in this paper. The fraction of steel fibers of the SFRSCC is 0.5%, 1.5% and 2.0% respectively. The results of the static tests show that the splitting tensile strength increases with the increase of fraction of steel fibers, while the compressive strength of 1.5% SFRSCC is lowest. It is demonstrated that the anti-penetration ability of 1.5% SFRSCC subjected to a velocity projectile (200-500 m/s) is better than 0.5% and 2.0% SFRSCC according to the experimental results. Considering the steel fiber effects, the existing formula is revised to predict penetration depth, and it is revealed that the revised predicted depth of penetration is in good agreement with the experimental results. The conclusion of this paper is helpful to the experimental investigations and engineering application.

  • 비스무스는 융점이 낮아 취급이 용이하여 반자성체로서 전자기 차폐에 어떤 영향이 있는지 실험하기 쉽다. 그러나 실제 실험 재료를 원통으로 제작하여 측정된 경우를 찾아 볼 수 없다. 순수 비스무스는 반자성체로서 전자기 차폐에 어떤 영향이 있는가를 알기 위해서 비스무스를 다른 재료와 비교하기 위해서 원통으로 제조하였고 구리, 알루미늄, 철, 스텐레스 스틸도 원통을 만들어 정전차폐와 자기차폐를 저주파대에서 주파수 별로 측정하여 비교하였다. 그 결과 도표와 같이 구리와 비스무스 이중차폐가정전기에서는 제일 좋은 수치가 나왔다. 자기차폐에서는 철은 역시 가장 좋은 수치가 나왔고 비스무스는 별영향이 없이 나왔다.

  • The wafer carrier is made of PP, PC, PE resin which have excellent heat and chemical resistance and electrical properties. However, particle generation has become a problem due to static electricity generated in the carrier. Some conductive material such as carbon black (CB) and carbon fiber (CF) are added for the purpose of anti-static, however, additional for motility and particle contamination problems due to high carbon content occurs. In this paper, the electrical characteristics and workability are observed and compared by adding low Carbon Nono Tube(CNT) to each PP, PC and PE resin to solve the problem.

Modification and Properties of Polypropylene Fibers Using Aluminosiloxane

  • Siloxylated polypropylene fibers composed of polypropylene (PP) and aluminosiloxane (AS) were prepared by melt blending followed by spinning. The effects of blend compositions on the thermal behaviors, surface and tensile properties of PP/AS blend fibers were investigated by DSC, WAXD, SEM, static honestometer, etc. The heat of fusion of PP/AS blends decreased with increasing AS contents. In addition, the peak intensity of PP/AS blends in X-ray diffraction patterns decreased with increasing AS contents. It was observed that the silicone molecules exist and well distribute on the surface of siloxylated polypropylene fibers. From the results of the half-life period measurements, the anti-static properties of PP fibers siloxylated with AS was found to be significantly modified.

  • Nanocomposite resin(PUD-CNT) composed of Carbon nanotube(CNT) and Polyurethane Dispersion (PUD) was prepared by different contents of CNT($0{\sim}5%$). PUD-CNT was coated on samples, and their electrical conductivity was investigated. With increasing CNT content, static change, half life and surface resistance decreased. Composites having 5% CNT showed $10^9{\Omega}/cm$(surface resistance), and 40V (stactic charge). Respectively, From this results, PUD-CNT can be used as a antistatic material.

  • This paper proposes an adaptive control scheme for an autopilot design of Relaxed-Static-Stability(RSS) Missiles with saturating actuator. The feedback linearization controller eliminates nonlinear terms in RSS missile dynamics and makes the entire system linear. But modeling errors, disturbances and the nonlinear mismatch due to input constraints exert a bad influence on the performance of the feedback linearization controller Thus, first, we derive a parametric affine uncertainty model with modeling errors and disturbances. Then an adaptive control law with anti-windup scheme is developed, where the bounds of uncertainties are estimated with adaptive laws.   • 고전압 하에서도 표면 저항을 유지할 수 있는 대전방지 보호필름용 코팅액의 바인더에 관하여 연구하였다. 구체적으로는 폴리에틸렌 글리콜(PEG)과 폴리프로필렌 글리콜(PPG)을 주성분으로 하는 다양한 조성의 폴리에스터계 바인더를 합성하여 전도성 고분자와의 배합을 통하여 필름을 제조한 후에 고전압 하에서의 표면 저항의 변화를 조사하였다. PEG와 PPG의 조성과 상관없이 10 V의 전압 하에서는 $10^7{\sim}10^8{\Omega}/{\square}$의 범위를 나타내었으나, 1000 V 하에서는 표면저항이 $2{\times}10^{10}{\Omega}/{\square}$ 이상으로 변화하여 대전방지 용도로는 사용할 수 없었다. 그러나 PPG의 10 mol%를 1,4-butandiol(BD)로 대체하여 합성한 폴리에스터 중에서 PEG 함량이 25 mol%인 바인더([PEG]/[PPG]/[BD] = 25.0/67.5/7.5)에서는 1000 V 하에서도 $2.8{\times}10^9{\Omega}/{\square}$을 나타내, 고전압 하에서도 대전방지용으로 사용할 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이결과는 BD의 소수성에 의하여 고전압 하에서도 표면 저항이 유지될 수 있다는 것을 시사하고 있다.

Design and Research on High-Reliability HPEBB Used in Cascaded DSTATCOM

  • The H-bridge inverter is the fundamental power cell of the cascaded distribution static synchronous compensator (DSTATCOM). Thus, cell reliability is important to the compensation performance and stability of the overall system. The concept of the power electronics building block (PEBB) is an ideal solution for the power cell design. In this paper, an H-bridge inverter-based “plug and play” HPEBB is introduced into the main circuit and the controller to improve the compensation performance and reliability of the device. The section that discusses the main circuit primarily emphasizes the design of electrical parameters, physical structure, and thermal dissipation. The section that presents the controller part focuses on the principle of complex programmable logic device -based universal controller This section also analyzes typical reliability and anti-interference issues. The function and reliability of HPEBB are verified by experiments that are conducted on an HPEBB test-bed and on a 10 kV/± 10 Mvar DSTATCOM industrial prototype.

  • The purpose of this paper is to provide the unbalanced magnetic force and vibration mode comparison between two large interior permanent magnet machines(IPM) with different pole-slot combination considering stator and rotor eccentricity. Due to the punching tolerance, the mixed eccentricity of air-gap is inevitable. It will generate the asymmetric magnetic flux density in air-gap, which makes the unbalanced magnetic pull and vibration. The study is focused on the unbalanced magnetic force and their harmonic components according to eccentricity conditions such as static, dynamic and mixed. When the high vibration is produced especially resonance, the obtained results provide clues what eccentricity condition occurs in the machine.

  • Since the global positioning system receivers on the surface of the Earth use satellite signals sent from a remote distance and the intensity of received signals is weak, they are vulnerable to jamming. This paper implements a vector-tracking loop (VTL)-based global navigation satellite system (GNSS) receiver algorithm as an anti-jamming technique and compares the performance of VTL-based receivers with that of scalar-tracking loop (STL) that is used in general GNSS receivers at various jamming environments and a vehicle's dynamics. The simulation results shows that VTL is more robust against jamming than STL in all operating environments.
