Anti-static behavior of Synthetic fabrics treated by anti-static agents (대전방지처리된 합성섬유의 대전성에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, electrostatic behavior of polyester and nylon fabric treated with anti-static agents were investigated. The effects of the concentration of the agents and curing conditions on the electrostatic charge of the fabrics were studied. And washfastness, lightfastness and physicalproperties of the treated fabrics were also investigated. The results were as follows: 1) Polyethylene glycol alkylester was more effective in antistatic behavior than polyethylene laurylphosphate, and polyester is more effective in anti-static behavior than nylon. 2) Concentration of anti-static agents were suitable in concentration of $4\%$. 3) Glyoxal resin was more effective in anti-static behavior than melamine resin, and it was also good in the retaing anti-static behavior after treatments of lightfastness and washfastness. 4) As the condition of curing treatment, $190^{\circ}C$, 1min. for glyoxal resin and $130^{\circ}C$, 4min. for melamine resin is appropriate. 5) In comparison of anti-static behavior according to treating conditions, the simultaneous treatment was more effective than any other treatments. 6) Change of electrostatic charge of anti-static nylon cloths after treatments of lightfastness and washfastness increased greatly in above 10 laundering time and 20 fade-O-meter time. 7) In physical properties according to concentration of treating agents. decrease of physical properties scarcely appeared in concentration of treating agents $4\~5\%$.

An Efficient Search Strategy of Anti-Submarine Helicopter based on Multi-Static Operation in Furthest-On-Circles (확장형 탐색구역에서 Multi-Static 운용 기반 대잠헬기의 탐색에 관한 연구)

  • The anti-submarine helicopter is the most effective weapon system in anti-submarine warfare. Recently changes in the introduction of the anti-submarine warfare sonar system are expected to operate multi-static sonar equipment of the anti-submarine helicopter. Therefore, it is required to study the operational concept of multi-static of anti-submarine helicopter. This paper studies on the optimal search of multi-static based on anti-submarine helicopter considering Furthest On Circles(FOC). First, the deployment of the sensors of the anti-submarine helicopter is optimized using genetic algorithms. Then, the optimized model is extended to consider FOC. Finally, the proposed model is verified by comparing pattern-deployment the search method in Korean Navy.

  • In order to develope anti - static polyester resin which may be employed to dangerous circumstance with high organic vapor content, the effect of anti - static agents on the surface resistance and tensile strength of polyester resin were studied. Three organic anti - static agents and a conductive carbon black were adapted and used separately and together. The effects of anti - static agents, their contents, and synergic effect of anti - static agents were experimentally examined. Surface resistance and tensile strength of the polyester resin were decreased with the content of anti - static agents, and polyester resin with low surface resistance and relatively high tensile strength could be prepared by synergic effect of organic anti - static agent and carbon black.

  • For purpose of anti-static film remaining unchanged in the condition of $160^{\circ}C$, organic solvent, acid and base solution $0.01\sim0.03{\mu}m$ particles of Sb doped tin oxide(ATO) were grafted by 3-Glycidyloxypropyltrimethoxysilane(GPTS) for improving interfere bonding force between ATO and epoxy resin. The particles were dispersed in 2-methoxyethanol with YD-I28(Bisphenol A type epoxy resin, Kukdo chemical) and 1-imidazole as hardener. The anti-static solutions were coated on PI film as thickness of $0.1{\mu}m$. Surface resistivity of anti-static film containing conductive polymer became $10^{12}\Omega/\Box$ after 32 hours in $160^{\circ}C$. The surface resistivity of ATO grafted by GPTS / Epoxy coating layer remained as $10^{7.6}\Omega/\Box$ in $160^{\circ}C$ for 7 days. ATO grafted by GPTS / Epoxy coating layer coated on PI film was dipped in acetone for 7 days. The surface resistivity remained unchanged as $10^{7.6}\Omega/\Box$. The anti-static layer dipped in water solutions containing each KOH 10 wt % and $H_2SO_4$ 2 wt% was ultra-sonicated for 10 minutes per once until 30th. The surface resistance of anti-static layer containing ATO grafted by GPTS remained unchanged.

A Study on Firing Risk Assessment of Film Manufacturing Process (필름제조 공정의 착화 위험성에 관한 연구)

  • We have considered the fire hazard by the static in anti-static film manufacturing factory on this study. Solvents that the flash point as ethanol, methanol and iso-propyl alcohol is low are used on the manufacturing process of anti-static film, and the minimum ignition energy of these solvents is ignited easily despite less discharge energy form 0.16 mJ to 0.65 mJ. After the static electric potential produced on each of the manufacturing plants was measured, electric potential on films of paste board is measured form 17 kV to 20 kV. But this exceeds 5 kV, which is electrifiable of objective of nonconductor for fire & explode protection. Therefore, We figure out the fire hazard was high by a static discharge in anti-static film manufacturing factory.

A Study of Anti-Static Property of Several Fibers Treated with Sputter Etching (Sputter etching에 의한 각종 섬유의 대전방지에 관한 연구)

  • In order to improve the anti-static property of several hydrophobic fibers by sputter etching, polyester, polypropylene and poly(p-phenylene sulfide) have been etched by sputtering in the presence of argon gas and the resulting anti-static property investigated by half time decay, the time of water permeation, weight loss rate and scanning electron microscope(SEM). The temporary change and durability of anti-static property of samples treated with sputter etching were evaluated. The results were as follows; 1) Half time decay of samples treated with sputter etching were decreased about 18~38%. According to increasing sputter etching time, half time decay is decreased. 2) The wettability and weight loss rate of treated samples were increased remarkably. According to the SEM photographs, many microcraters on the substrate surface by the sputter etching were observed. 3) Although the washing treatment and the time elapsed after treatment are allowed longer, the variation of half time decay hardly can find.

  • The hardening system of polyurethanes has usually caused by air pollution. bad working condition and fire hazard according to using orgarnic solvents. Therefore there have been researched on emulsion, water soluble and colloid-dispersion based water soluble instead of using organic solvents recently. This study synthesized polyurethane dispersing particle by means of mixing precursor and neutralized emulsion method. In the first step, polyurethane was preparated from isophorone diisocyanate and poly (ethylene-adipate) glycol, and got precursor by introducing dimethyl propionic acid as a hydrophilic group. Synthesized polyurethane was bonded to the surface of fiber and crosslinked as a anti-static agent, and then looked for the change of color and softening property.

Analysis and Experiment of the Dynamic Characteristics of Rubber Materials for Anti-Vibration under Compression (압축하중을 받는 방진고무의 동특성 해석 및 실험)

  • Rubber materials are extensively used in various machine design application, mainly for vibration/shock/noise control devices. Over the years an enormous effort has been put into developing procedures to provide properties of rubber material for design function. However, there are still a lot of difficulties in the understanding of dynamic characteristics of the rubber components in compression. In this paper, the dynamic characteristics of rubber materials for anti-vibration under compression were investigated. Dynamic and static tests for rubber material with 3 different hardness were performed. In dynamic tests, non-resonance method, impedance method, was used to obtain the complex modulus(storage modulus and loss factor) and the effects of static pre-strain on the dynamic characteristics were investigated. Also, a relation equation between linear dynamic and nonlinear static behavior of rubber material was discussed and its usefulness to predict their combined effects was investigated.

  • In this study, the authors aim to evaluate a structural and fatigue safety of a new type anti-loose nut system with dual nuts composed of main nut and outer nut to enhance the long-term workability and durability so as to improve the performance of conventional anti-loose nut system. Also, a three-dimensional finite-element method analysis was performed to consider the actual geometry and material property of anti-loose nut system with dual nuts and the effect of static and dynamic loads and loading directions. The analytical results showed that the overall static and dynamic stress of the components of the anti-loose nut system with dual nuts were found to be less than that of the fatigue limit of Goodman-smith diagram and allowable stress of each materials, therefore the anti-loose nut system with dual nuts was sufficient to ensure a structural and fatigue safety.
