  • In this Paper, I propose a new anti-collision algorithm called Arbitrator-collision free reflected frame which restricts the size of frames and controlled the frame size when there are small tags. Since the proposal algorithm keeps the frame size and controlled the number of responding tags in such a way ones. can increase slot utilization, the algorithm shows superior performance to the existing algorithms. The simulation results showed that the proposed algorithm improves the efficiency by 0.8times compared to the existing algorithm.

  • Ultra-high-frequency radio-frequency identification (UHF RFID) is widely applied in different industries. The Frame Slotted ALOHA in EPC C1G2 suffers severe collisions that limit the efficiency of tag recognition. An efficient full-duplex anti-collision scheme is proposed to reduce the rate of collision by coordinating the transmitting process of CDMA UWB uplink and UHF downlink. The relevant mathematical models are built to analyze the performance of the proposed scheme. Through simulation, some important findings are gained. The maximum number of identified tags in one slot is g/e (g is the number of PN codes and e is Euler's constant) when the number of tags is equal to mg (m is the number of slots). Unlike the Frame Slotted ALOHA, even if the frame size is small and the number of tags is large, there aren't too many collisions if the number of PN codes is large enough. Our approach with 7-bit Gold codes, 15-bit Gold codes, or 31-bit Gold codes operates 1.4 times, 1.7 times, or 3 times faster than the CDMA Slotted ALOHA, respectively, and 14.5 times, 16.2 times, or 18.5 times faster than the EPC C1 G2 system, respectively. More than 2,000 tags can be processed within 300 ms in our approach.

  • In this paper, we propose an improved anti-collision algorithm for multi tag interrogation in ubiquitous sensor network(USN) and show the result of simulation for multi tag interrogation in RFID systems. We have analyzed an EPC(Electronic Product Code) protocol which specifies the physical and logical requirements for a passive-backscatter Reader-Talk-First(RTF) RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) system operating in the $860MHz{\sim}960MHz$ frequency range. We have also designed and implemented the simulator of the RFID system based on the EPC protocol. Finally, we find that proposed algorithm works better than an existing algorithm.

  • DSME has developed Sub-assembly Welding Robot System(SWRS) in order to increase the productivity of arc welding and to improve hazard and unclean environments in shipbuilding. DSME's SWRS includes a number of equipments such as four overhanging 6-axis articulated robot manipulators(10kg pay-load), gantry system, vision system detecting the workpiece automatically, and OLP system using the CAD data and a central control system integrating an anti-collision module. The SWRS was installed in CAS(Component Assembly Shop) of DSME's OKPO shipyard in August 2006, and now SWRS is running well in site.

  • This paper includes the development and operational status of the space object collision risk management system operated by the Korea Aerospace Research Institute. Currently, it monitors 6 low-orbit satellites and 3 geostationary satellites for collision risks 24 hours, enabling prompt collision avoidance maneuvers to ensure safe and stable operations. Since Chinese anti-satellite test (ASAT) in 2007, the monitoring of collision risks between space objects and operational satellites has been taken seriously, leading to the development of various collision risk management systems to respond quickly and efficiently to such situations. This paper provides an introduction to the space object collision risk management system developed from 2007 to the present, the current status of artificial space objects around Earth, and the system currently in operation. Additionally, it outlines future prospects and plans for the system.

  • In many Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) applications, the reader recognizes the tags within its scope repeatedly. For these applications, some algorithms such as the adaptive query splitting algorithm (AQS) and the novel semi-blocking AQS (SBA) were proposed. In these algorithms, a staying tag retransmits its ID to the reader to be identified, even though the ID of the tag is stored in the reader's memory. When the length of tag ID is long, the reader consumes a long time to identify the staying tags. To overcome this deficiency, we propose a slot allocated blocking anti-collision algorithm (SABA). In SABA, the reader assigns a unique slot to each tag in its range by using a slot allocation mechanism. Based on the allocated slot, each staying tag only replies a short data to the reader in the identification process. As a result, the amount of data transmitted by the staying tags is reduced greatly and the identification rate of the reader is improved effectively. The identification rate and the data amount transmitted by tags of SABA are analyzed theoretically and verified by various simulations. The simulation and analysis results show that the performance of SABA is superior to the existing algorithms significantly.

  • In this paper, a DFSA (Dynamic Framed Slotted ALOHA) based anti-collision algorithm is described and a performance improved algorithm of DFSA and FSA is proposed. The proposed method makes use of expected values and has merits in operation speed by estimating closest value of the number of tags on a single operation. The algorithm compares and analyses number of empty slots and collide slots in accordance with the number of tags, which enables estimation of actual number of tags. we simulated the proposed algorithm and compared it with conventional methods. Results show that our method needs average 18.8 rounds to identify all tags. In case of less than 1000 tags, an average of 18.2 rounds is necessary and an average of 19.2 rounds is needed to identify all tags for more than 1000 tags. The proposed algorithm improves processing speed by 3.1 % comparing to DFSA with cancellation strategy, 10.1 % comparing to DFSA, 37.5 % comparing to FSA(Framed Slotted ALOHA).
