은 담지한 혹연을 부극 활물질로 이용한 Li ion 2차전지의 전기화학적 특성 연구 (The Electrochemical properties of Lithium ion Secondary Battery using Ag-deposited graphite anode)

  • New Ag-deposited graphite anodes were developed using wet chemical reduction methods for depositing Ag metal onto graphite particles. In this paper, we investigated X-ray diffraction pattern and charge-discharge behavior for Ag-deposited graphite anode. The Lithium ion cello using Ag-deposited graphite anode showed a high average discharge voltage of 3.6∼3.W and a excellent cycle ability than that of conventional graphite. Little capacity loss in this battery may be due to the highly durable Ag-deposited graphite anodes.

얇은 연료극 구조가 용융탄산염 연료전지 성능에 미치는 영향 (Influence of the Thin Anode Geometry on the Performance of Molten Carbonate Fuel Cells)

  • The Ni-Al anodes of the molten carbonate fuel cell (MCFC) with three different structures were successfully fabricated in order to reduce the thickness of the anode down to 0.3 mm; one was the non-supported anode made by a conventional tape casting method, and others were the supported anodes made by lamination or direct casting on the nickel screen. It was seen from the physical analyses and cell operation that the supported thin anodes made by direct casting showed good mechanical strength and cell performance because of a good contact between the anode materials and the support. The single cell using the above anode showed the cell voltage of 0.858 V at the current density of 150$mA/cm^2$ with the nitrogen cross-over of only 0.6% at the operation time of 1,000 h, which was similar to the performance of the conventional thick (0.7 mm) anode. The ability to utilize a thin configuration of anode should cut down the amount of nickel alloy and consequently reduce its manufacturing cost.

  • Due to the charge compensation effect, SOI(Silicon-On-Insulator) LIGBT with dual-epi layer have been found to exhibit both low forward voltage drop and high static breakdown voltage. In this paper, electrical characteristics of the SOI LIGBT with dual-epi structure is presented. Trenched anode structure is employed to obtain uniform current flowlines and shorted anode structure also employed to prevent the fast latch-up. Latching current density of the proposed LIGBT with $T_1=T_2=2.5{\mu}m,\;N_1=7{\times}10^{15}/cm^3,\;N_2=3{\times}10^{15}/cm^3$ is $800A/cm^2$ and breakdown voltage is 125V while latching current density and breakdown voltage of the conventional LIGBT is $700A/cm^2$ and 55V.

  • AZO(Aluminum-doped Zinc Oxide) films are attractive materials as transparent conductive electrode because they are inexpensive, nontoxic and abundant element compared with ITO(Indium Tin Oxide). AZO films have been deposited on glass (corning 1737) substrates by RF magnetron sputtering. The AZO film was post-annealed at $600^{\circ}C$ for 2 hr with $N_2$ atmosphere. The AZO films were used as an anode contact to fabricate OLEDs(Organic Light Emitting Diodes). OLEDs with $AZO/TPD/Alq_3/Al$ configuration were fabricated by thermal evaporation. We investigated that the electric, structural and optical properties of AZO thin films, which measured using the methods of XRD, SEM, Hall measurement and Spectrophotometer. The current density-voltage and luminescence-voltage properties of devices were studied and compared with ITO devices fabricated under the same conditions.

Efficient Top-Emitting Organic Light Emitting Diode with Surface Modified Silver Anode

  • The enhancement of quantum efficiency using a surface modified Ag anode in top-emitting organic light emitting diodes (TEOLEDs) is reported. The operation voltage at the current density of $1\;mA/cm^2$ of TEOLEDs decreased from 9.3 V to 4.3 V as the surface of anode coated with $CuO_x$ layer. The work function of these structures were quantitatively determined using synchrotron radiation photoemission spectroscopy. Secondary electron emission spectra revealed that the work function of the Ag/$CuO_x$ structure is higher by 0.6 eV than that of Ag. Thus, the $CuO_x$ structure acts as a role in reducing the hole injection barrier by about 0.6 eV, resulting in a decrease of the turn-on voltage of top-emitting light emitting diodes.

  • 본 논문에서는 외부 프로그램 전압으로 프로그램 가능한 로직 공정 기반의 eFuse OTP 셀을 제안하였다. 기존의 eFuse OTP 메모리 셀은 eFuse의 양극 (anode)에 연결된 SL (Source Line)으로 SL 구동회로의 전압강하를 거치면서 프로그램 데이터가 공급된 반면, 새롭게 제안된 eFuse 셀은 NMOS 프로그램 트랜지스터의 게이트에 프로그램 데이터가 공급되고 eFuse의 양극에 3.8V의 외부 프로그램 전압 (FSOURCE)이 전압강하 없이 공급된다. 그리고 제안된 셀의 FSOURCE 전압은 읽기 모드에서 0V 또는 플로팅 상태를 유지한다. 한편 본 논문에서는 FSOURCE 핀의 전압이 플로팅 상태인 경우는 회로적으로 0V로 바이어싱 하는 클램프 회로를 제안하였고, 로직 전압인 VDD (=1.8V)와 FSOURCE전압 사이에 스위칭 해주는 VPP 스위칭 회로를 제안하였다. 동부하이텍 $0.15{\mu}m$ generic 공정으로 설계된 8비트 eFuse OTP IP의 레이아웃 면적은 $359.92{\times}90.98{\mu}m^2$이다.

The effect of fullerene on the device performance of organic light-emitting

  • In this paper, we describe a versatile use of fullerene(C60) as a charge transporting material for organic light-emitting diodes. The use of fullerene as a buffer layer for an anode, a doping material for hole transport layer, and an electron transport layer was investigated. Fullerene improved the hole injection from an anode to a hole transport layer by lowering the interfacial energy barrier and enhanced the lifetime of the device as a doping material for a hole transport layer. In addition, it was also effective as an electron transporting material to get low driving voltage in the device.

  • Vacuum tube arrays (VTA) with a submicron dimension were fabricated by using anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) nano-templates. The field emission characteristics of Ni nanowires show a turn-on voltage in the range of 11.0-14.0 V and a field enhancement factor in the range of 560-2790. The distance between the tips of Ni nanowires and the anode was much smaller than that between the tips and the anode of conventional designs.

  • 본 연구에서는 anode로 Kroll 공정 처리된 Ti 스폰지를 사용하여 아크 전류, 아크 전압, 플라즈마 가스 종류에 따른 플라즈마 아크 재용해 거동을 조사하였다. 진공펌프의 토출 압력 범위($200{\sim}300kgf/cm^2$)에서는 토출 압력 증가에 따라 주어진 아크 길이에서 아크 전압이 크게 달라지지 않았다. 이것은 작업하는 동안 진공챔버내 압력이 거의 변화하지 않고, 주어진 분위기 압력을 잘 유지함을 의미한다. 여러가지 아크 전류 조건(700~900A)에서, 아크 전류 증가에 따라 아크 전압이 약간 증가하였고, anode 재료변화에 대한 효과도 이전 연구결과와 비교하였다. 분위기 가스가 Ar에서 He으로 변경되는 경우에는 정상상태의 출력이 2배 정도 향상되는 효과가 관찰되었다. 플라즈마 아크 장치의 출력 증가는 Ti 스폰지의 재용해 속도 증가와 함께 잉곳 표면도 양호해졌다. New 스크랩인 타이타늄과 old 스크랩인 지르코늄 합금을 플라즈마 아크 재용해한 결과, 매우 양호한 표면을 갖는 잉곳을 제조할 수 있었다.

  • Electrochemical redox capacity of a microbial fuel cell (MFC) electrode is an important factor in the power density. This study was conducted to investigate the redox capacity of surface modified anode and cathode electrodes by measuring their conductivities. An anode electrode was modified with nitric acid and a cathode electrode was modified with heat treatment. The anode electrode modified with 20 % of the nitric acid concentration showed the highest conductivity of $6.2{\mu}S/cm/g$ and the maximum power density of $306.0mW/m^2$ when used in a MFC. The cathode electrode modified at $472^{\circ}C$ for 18 min showed the highest conductivity of $5.2{\mu}S/cm/g$ and the maximum power density of $276.20mW/m^2$ when used in a MFC. On the other hand, an MFC using both the electrodes showed the highest maximum power density of $408.2mW/m^2$. Meanwhile, a control MFC without modified electrodes generated very small voltage (0.014 mV), so the power density could not be measured.
