  • Recently, a drone is used for the general purpose application although the drone was builtfor the military purpose. A drone is actively used for the creation of contents, and an image acquisition. In this paper, we develop a 3D library module platform using 3D mesh model data, which is generated by a drone image and its point cloud. First, a lot of 2D image data are taken by a drone, and a point cloud data is generated from 2D drone images. A 3D mesh data is acquired from point cloud data. Then, we develop a service library platform using a transformed 3D data for multi-purpose uses. Our platform with 3D data can minimize the cost and time of contents creation for special effects during the production of a movie, drama, or documentary. Our platform can contribute the creation of experts for the digital contents production in the field of a realistic media, a special image, and exhibitions.

Since the motion capture system can be introduced to the fields where realistic movement of human beings and animals, which cannot be attained with an existing key frame method is required, large scale is necessary or economical burden exists, it has a merit and possibility of new expression. For these reasons, this method is increasingly used in the field of digital entertainment such as movie, TV, advertisement, documentary, music video, etc centering around the game. However, in spite of such an advantage, problems such as too much advance preparation work in digital image expressions using motion capture, marker attachment, compensation of motion data, motion retargeting and lack of professional human resources, etc. are becoming a prominent figure. Accordingly, this study intends to suggest the way of more effective production of motion capture digital image through finding the problems and their draft possible solutions in the production process based on the image production examples using motion capture.

  • In this study, we empirically investigated the antecedents of crowdfunding success in the arts and cultural field using the case of Tumblbug in Korea. We collected data on 494 projects listed on Tumblebug in the arts and culture category that includes feature film, documentary, short film, animation, and Web series, as of June 2018. We analyzed the factors associated with the final amount raised via crowdfunding on Tumblbug using the hierarchical regression method. We find that the social capital accumulated by a focal entrepreneur (i.e., the proposer/designer of a focal project) through prior participation in other related projects and social communication activities carried out during the funding period, respectively, have positive effects on the final amount raised. More interestingly, we also find that the intensity of social communication plays a central role in the funding success of arts and culture-related projects by supplementing the lack of the entrepreneur's social capital and the reward features including a given project.
