Animated Character의 감시가 청서와 인지 과제 수행에 미치는 영향 - 과제 난이도에 따른 Animated character의 영향 (The Effect of Monitoring Animated Character on Simple Math Task)

  • Animated Character는 컴퓨터와 인간 간의 상호작용을 증진시킬 수 있는 방편으로 널리 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 Animated Character의 감시가 과제 난이도에 따른 수행과 정서에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 본 실험에서 실험 참가자들은 통제 집단과 감시 Animated Character 조건에 무선으로 배정되어 난이도 세 수준의 글자계산 과제를 수행하였다. 또한 정서에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 상태 특성 자기평가 불안척도(State-Trait Anxiety Inventory; STAI)를 사용하였다. 실험참가자들의 수행은 과제의 정답률과 반응시간을 측정을 통해 평가되었다. 실험결과 감시 Animated Character 조건은 통제 조건 보다 유의미하게 높은 불안(Anxiety)의 증가가 있었다. 또한 감시 Animated Character 조건은 높은 난이도의 글자 계산 과제에서 통제 조건 보다 유의미하게 높은 수행을 보였다. 본 연구는 Animated Character의 감시가 과제 난이도에 따라 다른 영향을 가진다는 것을 밝힘으로써 향후 감시 시스템 등에 Animated Character를 적용함에 있어 구체적인 가이드라인을 제공한다.

A Study on Efficient Animated Character Based on the Hunlock Effect

  • Combined with expert interviews and questionnaire investigations, this paper aims at analyzing the different characteristics of the animated characters Spider-Man from Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse based on Hunlock Effect, in order to provide appropriate guidance for animation characters designers and limited inspiration for creative practices. First, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is chosen as the case to analyze 6 Spider-Man with different personalities, who appear at the same time. Then, Spider-Man's characteristics are analyzed through interviews with experts. At last, the key study focuses on the influence of environmental factors on the formation of Spider-Man's roles in the theory of Hunlock Effect, in light of the principle of personality formation in psychology. From the perspective of psychology, interdisciplinary study on animated characters provides scientific and effective support for animation character design, and increases the fascination of animation characters' personalities.

A Prototype Implementation for 3D Animated Anaglyph Rendering of Multi-typed Urban Features using Standard OpenGL API

  • Animated anaglyph is the most cost-effective method for 3D stereo visualization of virtual or actual 3D geo-based data model. Unlike 3D anaglyph scene generation using paired epipolar images, the main data sets of this study is the multi-typed 3D feature model containing 3D shaped objects, DEM and satellite imagery. For this purpose, a prototype implementation for 3D animated anaglyph using OpenGL API is carried out, and virtual 3D feature modeling is performed to demonstrate the applicability of this anaglyph approach. Although 3D features are not real objects in this stage, these can be substituted with actual 3D feature model with full texture images along all facades. Currently, it is regarded as the special viewing effect within 3D GIS application domains, because just stereo 3D viewing is a part of lots of GIS functionalities or remote sensing image processing modules. Animated anaglyph process can be linked with real-time manipulation process of 3D feature model and its database attributes in real world problem. As well, this approach of feature-based 3D animated anaglyph scheme is a bridging technology to further image-based 3D animated anaglyph rendering system, portable mobile 3D stereo viewing system or auto-stereo viewing system without glasses for multi-viewers.

애니매이션이 이해와 흥미에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of Animation on Comprehension and Interest)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the interaction effects of various presentation types of graphics and the individual differences in need for cognition on comprehension, interestingness, and motivation. The depiction of the operation of a bicycle tire pump was presented in one of the following conditions, (a) simultaneous presentation, (b) successive presentation, (c) self-pace presentation, (d) animation. For younger students, animated graphics are rated more enjoyable and motivating only when they are low in NFC. If they are high in NFC, animated graphics are not more effective than static graphics in terms of comprehension, interest, and motivation. On the other hand, for older students, self-paced static graphics are more interesting and enjoyable than the animated graphics regardless of their NFC score. These results suggest that the animated graphics are not always beneficial for loaming and motivation.

Increasing Persona Effects: Does It Matter the Voice and Appearance of Animated Pedagogical Agent

  • The animated pedagogical agent has been implemented to promote learning outcomes and motivation in multimedia learning. It has been claimed that one of the advantages of using pedagogical agent is persona effect - the personalization or social presence of pedagogical agent can enhance learning engagement and motivation. However, prior research is inconclusive as to whether and how the features of the pedagogical agent have effects on the persona effect. This study investigated whether the similarity between a pedagogical agent and the real instructor in terms of the voice and outlook would improve students' perception of the agent's persona. The study also examined the effect by the size of pedagogical agent on the persona perception. Two experiments were conducted with a total of 115 college students. Experiment 1 indicated a significant main effect of voice on the persona perception. Experiment 2 was conducted to examine whether the size of pedagogical agent would affect the voice effect on the persona perception. The results showed that the instructor-like voice yielded higher persona perception regardless of the pedagogical agent's size. Overall, the study findings indicated that the similarity in voice positively fostered the agent's persona.

A Research of Ink and Wash Elements on the 3D Animation Film <Deep Sea>

  • <Deep Sea> is an 3D animated film that stands out for its exceptional special effects and distinctive artistic style. The film employs a multitude of dazzling and vibrant ink particles, creating a strong sense of three-dimensionality and weightlessness, while simultaneously portraying a dreamlike and elegant representation of a deep sea ink painting. Furthermore, through the utilization of fragmented stream of consciousness narrative technique, the film establishes a unique artistic effect infused with a Chinese atmosphere. This paper by analyzing the unique particle ink art style and color and stream of consciousness narrative methods in film, this paper discusses the innovative art style generated by traditional ink art style combined with three-dimensional technology, and the integration of traditional ink art ideas and artistic conception in animated films. The objective is to cultivate a new ink art style and prove the importance of traditional cultural expression in animated films, while providing new perspectives for the future application of traditional art in animation.

Three Dimensional Dynamic Added Variable Plots

  • Graphical methods for the specification of the curvature as a function of two predictors are animated to see the effect of an added variable to the model. Through a 3D animated plot it might be difficult to find a sequence of interpretable plots. But examples demonstrate that useful information can be obtained by using rotation technique in 3D plot. Besides 3D plots, an example of 2D animated plot applied to the case of high correlation between predictors and an added predictor is also given. It implies that speed of the convergence to a certain image in a dynamic plot may be understood as an influence of collinearity.

동적 PSD광고 구현을 위한 기술적 제안 : 수도권 지하철 2호선을 중심으로 (The Technical Suggestion for Implementing Animated PSD Ads : Focused on Seoul Metro Line2)

  • 본 논문은 지하철 PSD(Platform Screen Door)광고의 효과증진을 위하여, 동적 대상은 정적 대상에 비해 강한 시선 유인 효과를 가진다는 이론적 배경을 전제로, 동적 이미지를 활용한 새로운 형태의 PSD광고를 제안하는 것에 연구의 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 스크린도어와 전동차의 관계 분석을 통해, 효율적인 동적 이미지 구현을 위한, 위치적, 시각적 요소들을 도출하였다. 그 후, 이러한 요소들을 적용한 예시광고를 제작, 3D 프로그램 상에 적용함으로서, 동적 PSD광고의 구현 과정을 확인하였다. 연구결과, 시간차를 이용한 이미지 합성을 통해서 동적 시각효과를 보여줄 수 있는 새로운 형태의 PSD광고 제작이 가능함을 확인할 수 있었고, 이미지들의 조합과 적용에 따라 다양한 시각적 표현이 가능하기에, 본 연구의 제안이 PSD광고라는 광고매체에 다양성을 부여할 수 있음을 또한 확인하였다.

애니메이션캐릭터에 대한 감정이입, 인지적, 감정적 반응의 매개적 역할에 관한 연구 (The Mediating Roles of Empathy, Cognitive and Affective Responses to Animated Spokes-Characters)

  • 본 연구는 광고에 등장하는 허구적 존재로서 애니메이션 캐릭터에 대한 감정이입 반응이 호감도에 미치는 영향을 고찰하였다. 또한 감정이입의 효과 과정에 있어 인지적, 감정적 반응의 매개 효과를 파악하였다. 분석 결과 몇 가지 통계적으로 유의미한 결과가 나타났다. 첫째, 감정이입은 인지적 반응과 감정적 반응에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 인지적 반응과 감정적 반응은 호감도에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 그러나, 인지적 반응이 미치는 영향력은 감정적 반응에 비해 상대적으로 낮았다. 셋째, 감정이입은 인지적 반응에 매개되어 호감도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 감정적 반응의 매개효과는 통계적으로 유의미한 결과를 보이지 않았다. 본 연구 결과 소비자들은 허구적인 존재인 애니메이션 캐릭터에 대해서도 실제 인물에 대해 느끼는 감정적 반응을 나타내는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 결과는 허구적인 애니메이션 캐릭터를 제작하기 위해서는 캐릭터에 대한 소비자의 감정이입의 강도를 높여야 하며, 인지 반응을 유도하기 위해서는 감정이입이 요구됨을 시사한다.

  • The purpose of this study is to present important guidelines for effective eye-shadow color coordination according to T.P.O. such as 'Day time to Night', 'Special Occasions', 'Holiday Accents', 'Seasonal Looks' and 'Animated Characters'. The method is as follows; This study examined the 100 works of her published in the?500 EYE MAKEUP DESIGNS?. For this research analysis, three specialists selected a total of 100 photo-works through 3 rounds of evaluation. This study analysis was conducted based on the colors and tones of eye-shadows identified under Munsell's basic color chart. The study findings are as follows; First, 'Day time to Night' was found to have similarity coloration most frequently, presenting a more stable look in the Natural makeup. Second, 'Special Occasions' showed similarity, accent, and complex colorations mainly. Third, 'Holiday Accents' showed diverse types of colorations such as accent, complex, similarity and contrast. Forth, 'Seasonal Looks' was found to use a variety of colorations including similarity, contrast, accent, gradation and complex. Fifth, 'Animated Characters' showed contrast coloration the most for dramatic effect along with accent and complex colorations to give a unique and symbolic look. The color scheme database(DB) obtained in this study will be present important guidelines for future in eye-shadow makeup design.
