A Dynamic Service Library Reconfiguration Method of Android Platform (안드로이드 기반 서비스 라이브러리의 동적 재구성)

  • Android mobile platform copy the class files of all applications installed in android platform and keep them into one directory. But to add the service library into a platform, Android must generate a new binary image of platform and replace the platform because android refer the libraries using the memory-mapped file method in a directory. And this memory-mapped file reference method waste the storage space of mobile device because that directory include the duplicated libraries if the libraries refered by application are duplicated, Therefore a dynamic reconfiguration method on android mobile platform is needed to manage the service libraries of application executed on android platform and support the version management and function addition/modification. In this paper, we propose the platform dynamic reconfiguration method to add dynmically the service libraries on android platform.

An Extended TIP Technique for Android Platform (Android Platform에서의 확장된 TIP 기술)

  • TIP technology enables navigation of the internal contents of images by extracting geometry information from two-dimensional drawing or a picture and generating three-dimensional effects from extracted information. The technology can be applied to a variety of practical fields including game, entertainment, education, public relations and so on. This paper proposes extended application of TIP technology and realization method for smart devices using OpenGL ES Library for Android platform. Considering problems associated with a foreground object extraction, the proposed method uses vanishing points chosen by the user to facilitate more realistic scene configuration. Then, method acquires three-dimensional background model using OpenGL ES Library, develops three-dimensional virtual space and enables image navigation via camera viewpoint conversion. The experimental image is made on Android 2.1 and OpenGL ES 1.0 using the image taken on devices built on the Android platform. Thus, the proposed technology can be implemented to various smart devices built on the Android platform at lower cost and in less time.

  • Recently, with the rapid development of android-based smartphones, it is becomes a major security issue that the case of Android platform is an open platform. so it is easy to be a target of mobile virus penetration and hacking. Even there are a variety of security mechanisms to prevent the vulnerable points of the Android platform but the reason of most of the security mechanisms were designed at application-level that highly vulnerable to the attacks directly to the operating system or attacks using the disadvantages of an application's. It is necessary that the complementary of the android platform kernel blocks the kernel vulnerability and the application vulnerability. In this paper, we proposed a secure system using linux-based android kernel applied to LIDS(Linux Intrusion Detection and Defense System) and applied a smart phone with s5pc110 chip. As a result, the unauthorized alteration of the application was prevented with a proposed secure system.

  • This paper present developing methods of man-machine interface(MMI) system for smart temperature controller with android platform. This MMI system could communicate with mobile machine. Firstly we present electrical hardware design method of MMI system of smart temperature controller. Smart temperature controller is composed of dual processors. Secondly we develop operating software of MMI system using android development environment. And finally we present verification of MMI systems of smart temperature controller with android platform through field experiment. This MMI system with android platform has rapid development speed due to performance of android platform.

  • The current Navigation System for the Visually Impaired Person has a short and limited communication distance and can't receive enough information from Visually Impaired Person to assist directly. In addition, because the path is dangerous and incomplete for the Visually Impaired Person, moving with White Stick is still inconvenient and dangerous. To solve this problem we implement communication that can send and receive video, voice, location information between the Visually Impaired Person's Android platform and assistant's PC.

  • TIP 기술은 2D 그림 또는 한 장의 사진으로부터 기하정보를 추출하여 3 차원 입체 효과를 만들어 영상 내부를 네비게이션할 수 있는 기술로써, 게임, 엔터테인먼트, 교육, 홍보 등 다양한 분야에서 요구되는 주요기술이다. 본 논문에서는 최근 대두되고 있는 스마트 device 의 platform 가운데 하나인 android platform 상에서의 OpenGL ES Library 를 이용한 TIP 기술 적용 및 구현 기술을 제안한다. 제안 방법은 전경객체의 추출이 어려운 상황을 감안하여 보다 사실적 장면 구성이 용이하도록 사용자의 선택에 의한 소실점을 이용하고, OpenGL ES Library 를 이용하여 3D 배경 모델을 획득하고, 이미지를 텍스쳐 매핑하여 3D 가상공간을 완성한 후 카메라의 시점 변환을 통해 이미지 내부를 네베게이션할 수 있도록 한다. 실험영상은 android platform 상의 device 에서 촬영한 이미지를 사용하고, android 2.1 및 OpenGL ES 1.0 기반으로 구축함으로써, 제안 기술을 다양한 android platform smart device 에서 적은 비용과 시간으로 응용 개발에 효과적으로 적용 가능하도록 구현하였다.

  • There are services, which can only verify simple objects ahead, to help visually impaired people using ultrasonic wave or RFID tag. Specially, RFID cannot manage emergency situations, since it is can only verify short distances. The purpose of the thesis is to design a device to provide locations in real time visually and audibly to the guardian of the user using Android Platform.

  • This paper describes an implementation of face detection technology for a real-time application on the Android platform. Java class of Face-Detection for detection of human face is provided by the Android API. However, this function is not suitable to apply for the real-time applications due to inadequate detection speed and accuracy. In this paper, the AdaBoost based classification method which utilizes Local Binary Pattern (LBP) histogram is employed for face detection. The face detection module has been developed by C/C++ language for high-speed image processing, and this module is included to the Android platform using the Java Native Interface (JNI). The experiments were carried out in the Java-based environment and JNI-based environment. The experimental results have shown that the performance of JNI-based is faster than Java-based method and our system is well enough to apply for real-time applications.

  • As the new variation malicious codes of android platform are drastically increasing, the preparation plan and response is needed. We proposed a high-interaction client honeypot that applied to the android platform. We designed flow for the system. Application plan and the function was analyze. Each detail module was optimized in the Android platform. The system is equipped with the advantage of the high-interaction client honeypot of PC environment. Because the management and storage server was separated it is more flexible and expanded.

  • In this paper, GRS chip driven JNI code application SW design based on Android platform was designed and fabricated as motion gesture frame module based on Android platform. The serial data reception module design proposed by the application-based network support API technology was designed with Android-based module design, Android-based module implementation, and Android-based function module implementation design. The data information of the sensor could be checked through Android applications such as classes of serial communication drivers, libraries, and frameworks for receiving data from wireless communication devices through Android OS applications. In addition, applications in Android implement application SW that can judge motion gestures in four directions using Java.
