A Novel on a Crops Management Growth System using Web and Design Development Method

  • A new cultivation diary system based on environment sensor data and Web 2.0 with Flex is suggested, to improve the previous system using the subjective data of cultivators. The proposed system is designed by applying an object-oriented model called mini-architecture, in order to enhance the reliability of software as well as promote stability to overall system design. The environment sensor data such as temperature and humidity are used to develop the new reliable diary. Also, an active interface based on Web 2.0 and Android as the user GUI are implemented to maximize the convenience while recording the cultivation diary. The result of the performance evaluation shows that the data from sensors has 99.1% of correlation with that of analogue.

  • 본 연구에서는 멀티코어 기반의 안드로이드 부팅 최적화 방법을 제안하고 있다. 안드로이드 부팅 구간 중 Zygote란 프로세스 초기화 과정 시 가장 많은 연산을 하고 있었으며 Zygote 내부의 4가지 기능 중 preload구간에서 병렬기법을 적용하였다. preload는 어플리케이션의 구동에 필요한 클래스들과 리소스를 순차적으로 가져오는 함수호출 구조로 이 함수호출 구조를 다른 프로세스로 분리시켜 독립적인 연산을 수행하였다. 제안 방법을 S5PV310 듀얼코어와 Exynos4412 쿼드코어에 적용시켰고 각각 14%와 12%의 성능향상 결과를 보였다.

  • In this paper, we designed, implemented, and verified the SLAM system that can be used on mobile devices. Mobile SLAM is composed of a stand-alone type that directly performs SLAM operation on a mobile device, and a mapping server type that additionally configures a mapping server based on FastAPI to perform SLAM operation on the server and transmits data for map visualization to a mobile device. The mobile SLAM system proposed in this paper is to mix the two types in order to make SLAM operation and map generation more efficient. The stand-alone type SLAM system was configured as an Android app by porting the OpenVSLAM library to the Unity engine, and the map generation and performance were evaluated on desktop PCs and mobile devices. The mobile SLAM system in this paper is an open source project, so it is expected to help develop AR contents based on SLAM in a mobile environment.

  • With fast deployment of high-speed networks and various online services, the demand for massive content distribution is also growing fast. An approach that is increasingly visible in communication research community and in industry domain is peer-to-peer (P2P) networks. The P2P swarming technique enables a content distribution system to achieve higher throughput, avoid server or network overload, and be more resilient to failure and traffic fluctuation. Moreover, as a P2P-based architecture pushed the computing and bandwidth cost toward the network edge, it allows scalability to support a large number of subscribers on a global scale, while imposing little demand for equipment on the content providers. However, the P2P swarming burdens message exchange overheads on the system. In this paper, we propose a new protocol which provides confidentiality, authentication, integrity, and access control to P2P swarming. We implemented a prototype of our protocol on Android smart phone platform. We believe our approach can be straightforwardly adapted to existing commercial P2P content distribution systems with modest modifications to current implementations.

  • In-vehicle multimedia systems are one of the most important factors in the automotive industry. Especially, multimedia systems are more important in advanced commercial vehicles such as premium express buses. In this paper, we proposed a multimedia streaming system architecture using MEP(MOST Ethernet Packets) for premium express buses based on MOST150. We have designed and implemented the prototype of proposed multimedia streaming system. We have designed a board based on i.MX6 to operate a proposed multimedia streaming system. The software has designed a multimedia system for premium express buses based on Android which is an open source platform. MOST(Media Oriented Systems Transport) is a high-speed multimedia network technology for in-vehicle multimedia system. The MOST network is able to manage up to 64 devices and ring topology is used basically. In addition, the MOST Network meets EMI(Electro-Magnetic Interference)/ EMC(Electro-Magnetic Compatibility) requirements because it uses plastic optical fibers(POF).

  • Smart phone products lead the mobile computing world really, and be expected as a major object of mobile phone market. In special, Android OS platform in smart phones is remarkedly uprising as of main software architecture. As many applications are applied as of the Location Based Service system in the perspective of technical support which represents open based technology. In this research, we developed the location information transformation service module, using LBS system, which effects some users urgently in the timing of traffic accidents. It supports to help some car drivers with smart phone, enables them to recognizes remote controller or another users.

  • Lawful interception(LI) standard of telephone networks has technical limitations to lawfully intercept IMS/SIP-based mobile communication network subscriber who using Android and iPhone device. In addition, the technical standards related to legal interception of the IMS/SIP of the wireless network is insufficient compared to the systematic study of the development of a wireless network infrastructure. The architecture proposed in the standard of ETSI(European Telecommunications Standards Institute) for the seamless LI is insufficient to overcome the limitations of traditional voice-centric LI techniques. This paper proposes an IMS/SIP-based architecture to perform LI under 3G networks that focuses on mobility-supported environments with merging cellular networks and the Internet. We implemented the simulation to verify the efficiency of the proposed architecture, and the experimental results show that our method achieves higher lawful interception rate than that of existing interception methods.

A Disassembly Technique of ARM Position-Independent Code with Value-Set Analysis Having Symbol-Form Domain (기호 형태의 값-집합 분석을 이용한 ARM 위치 독립적 코드의 정교한 역어셈블리 기법)

  • With the proliferation of smart mobiles, disassembly techniques for position-independent code (PIC) composed of ARM architecture instructions in computer security are becoming more important. However, existing techniques have been studied on x86 architecture and are focused on solving problems of non-PIC and generality. Therefore, the accuracy of the collected address information is low to apply to advanced security technologies such as binary measurement. In this paper, we propose a disassembly technique that reflects the characteristics of PIC composed of ARM instructions. For accuratly collecting traceable addresses, we designed value-set analysis having symbol-form domain. To solve the main problem of disassembly, we devised a heuristic using the characteristics of the code generated by the compiler. To verify the accuracy and effectiveness of our technique, we tested 669 shared libraries and executables in the Android 8.1 build, resulting in a total disassembly rate of 91.47%.

  • Data transmission via the car driver's tethered smart phone may have a volume-dependent billing in case car driver' phone transmits data in real-time to the remote data center. The on-board diagnosis data generated are temporary stored locally to mobile remote diagnosis application on the car driver's phone, and then transmit to the data center later when car driver connects to the Internet. To increase the easiest of using the remote vehicle application without blocking other tasks to be executing on the cloud, node.js stands as a suitable candidate for handling tasks of data storage on the cloud via mobile network. We demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed architecture by simulating a preliminary case study of an android application responsible of real time analysis by using a vehicle-to- smart phones applications interface approach that considers the smart phones to act as a remote user which passes driver inputs and delivers output from external applications. In this paper, we propose a study on development of Remote Vehicle fault diagnostic system features web server architecture based event loop approach using node.js platform, and wireless communication to handle vehicle diagnostics data to a data center.

A Code-level Parallelization Methodology to Enhance Interactivity of Smartphone Entertainment Applications (스마트폰 엔터테인먼트 애플리케이션의 상호작용성 개선을 위한 코드 수준 병렬화 방법론)

  • One of the fundamental requirements of entertainment applications is interactivity with users. The mobile device such as the smartphone, however, does not guarantee it due to the limit of the application processor's computing power, memory size and available electric power of the battery. This paper proposes a methodology to boost responsiveness of interactive applications by taking advantage of the parallel architecture of mobile devices which, for instance, have dual-core, quad-core or octa-core. To harness the multi-core architecture, it exploits the POSIX thread, a platform-independent thread library to be able to be used in various mobile platforms such as Android, iOS, etc. As a useful application example of the methodology, a heavy matrix calculation function was transformed to a parallelized version which showed around 2.5 ~ 3 times faster than the original version in a real-world usage environment.
