Development of the Dripping Speed Measurement System of Medical Liquid using Heuristic (휴리스틱을 이용한 의료 수액 낙하 속도 측정 시스템 개발)

  • This paper describes the medical and IT convergence system using a smart phone and a heuristic method for the measurement of the dripping speed of the liquid in a drip chamber, which can estimate the remaining time using pattern recognition and difference image from video frame information based on Android technology. The video frames were first made using a smartphone camera and we calculated the difference image between the n image and the (n-1) image and then changed into binary images using the threshold value. At this point, it is very important to find an optimal threshold value using heuristic method to recognize the dripping of the liquids. In addition, the user can adjust the dripping speed according to the doctor's prescription, exactly like watching the progress bar of a mobile application. The experiment results show that our method using video processing technique accurately measures the dripping speed for a wide range of speeds that are sufficient for ordinary practice.

Design of a Smart Phone App for Measuring Object Size in a Picture Image (화상 이미지내의 피사체 크기 계측을 위한 스마트 폰 어플 설계)

  • With a rapid growth of hardware and product material industries, evolution of handheld terminal technologies is progressed. Various applications using mobile phone are the major trend in recent smart applications. Especially, interesting applications using camera module in a smartphone are developed continuously, mobile users are able to use various useful mobile applications nowadays. In this paper, we design and implement smartphone app for measuring real size of the shooting object in the image taken by a camera module in a smartphone precisely. We implement 4 different shooting modes for precise measurement of objects and 0 point control module is developed to minimize the differences of shooting images taken by different types and systems of various smartphones. The smartphone app proposed and implemented in this paper is analyzed and evaluated by a simulation study.

Generic User Interface Model for Multi-Platform (다중플랫폼을 위한 제너릭 사용자 인터페이스 모델)

  • Smart Phone market consists of several platforms such as Windows Phone, Apple iOS and Android of Google. Each platform uses different coding style respectively. Platform-dependent application results in high cost and low code reusability during development of application. It also provides heterogeneous display forms to users. In this paper, we propose a platform-independent generic interface model that could be operated in both the various smart phones and PC. Because the proposed model provides the same UI on multiple platforms, users can operate applications without awkwardness. The model includes a module which copes with the changes of the resolutions in various platforms and a module which switches scenes of each application for performance improvement. Moreover, a module which connects DB is also proposed in order to overcome the difference of way to store data in each platform. The implementation results show that the difference of display and operating manner in any hetero-platform is eliminated.

  • Smart phone based IT support programs are faced with difficulties due to the following reasons first, long development period is required as separate developments are necessary respectively depending on the operating system of Smart phone second, it is also difficult to secure high development cost for the outsourcing of the development. It is a big problem for improving app developing productivity. Smart App Factory which is suggested in this thesis is the business strategy to surpass the Android market of Google and App Store of Apple within short period of time based on App productivity of Smart App Authoring Tool and to accomplish the materialization of App market which is in the 1st global position and all potential customers who need programs for their works regardless of budget, scope, complexity and scale will be implemented by unfolding unprecedented low price policy and global online marketing activities for App development.

Detecting the screw-assembly state of a valve-body using the AR method (AR 방식을 이용한 밸브바디의 나사 조립 상태 검지)

  • In this study, an augmented reality (AR) app that detects the screw-assembly state of a car valve-body and assists the assembly work is developed and the effectiveness of the app is shown through testing. The app creates the contents indicating the screw-assembly position and order, and the screw-assembly state. Then, the contents are registrated onto the valve-body image on a smart-phone screen to be shown to the worker during assembly. To this end, the features are extracted from the 2D image of the valve-body and the location of the valve-body is tracked. By extracting the areas where the screws are to be assembled, and periodically determining the luminance of these areas, it is checked whether the screws are assembled in order at the predetermined position of the valve-body. When an error is detected during assembly, a warning sound is notified to the worker, and the worker can check the assembly state on the smart-phone screen and handle the error, immediately. Study results found that it takes about 65 ms to detect the assembly state of the five screws, and the assembly state is detected without error for 1 hour.

  • An architect creates his/her design to meet owner's requirements. Floor plans, perspective drawings, and scale models are used in order for the owner to choose the design. The tools are a little helpful for communication between the architect and the owner in case the owner does not know architecture. The scale models are good, but it is hard to make scale models while design is in progress. 3D CAD is a good tool for communication, but it is time-consuming and requires high-performance computer hardware. Augmented reality is able to show 3D virtual models that are updated by the architect with smart devices such as a smart phone and a tablet PC. The owner frequently reviews the updated design anytime anywhere. This study proposes a method to use augmented reality for architectural design and construction management. The method supports the communication between the owner, the architect and the contractor to review updated designs, and to complete the building project. 3D models expressed in augmented reality are created using SketchUp with 2D drawings for building construction. An Android application implementing augmented reality is developed by Qualcomm Vuforia and Unity on smart devices. Drawings as markers and 3D models are connected in Unity. And functions that temporarily hide unnecessary parts can be implemented in C# programming language. If an owner, an architect, or a contractor looks at a smart phone on a 2D drawing, he/she can identify building elements such as 3D buildings or columns on a screen. This can help communication between them.

  • 최근 들어 사용의 편리성 등으로 인해 스마트 기기의 사용이 다양한 분야로 확대되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 스마트 기기를 가장 많이 사용하는 20대와 30대 연령대인 사용자들에게 도움을 줄 수 있는 애플리케이션을 기획하였고, 다양한 정보를 필요한 예비엄마들의 육아관리에 도움을 줄 수 있는 애플리케이션을 설계하고 개발하였다. 예비엄마들을 위해 필요한 정보를 제공하며 일기장 및 아기의 스케줄체크를 통해 그 날 있었던 일과를 기록할 수 있으며 하루 중 아이의 상태를 기입해 기존 다이어리 대신 편리하게 사용할 수 있다. 또한, 아이의 생년월일에 따라 예방접종 시기를 제시 해주며 예방접종표를 통해 간단한 정보를 확인할 수 있다. 그리고 여러 가지 게임 및 소리를 통해 아기들의 정서적 편안함과 흥미를 유발해 엄마와 정서적 유대감을 형성 할 수 있게 도와준다. 안드로이드 기기를 이용하여 간단한 아기정보에 관한 틀을 만들어 쉽게 입력할 수 있고, 예비엄마들이 필요로 하는 기능들을 모아 가용성과 편리성을 극대화 하여 구현하였다.

Implementation of Contents System using Color Marker in Mobile AR (모바일 증강현실에서 컬러마커를 이용한 콘텐츠시스템 구현)

  • Black marker cause unnatural problems between the existing various contents and marker. To solve this problem, we tested the various colors and color placement according to frequency of 3D objects. Based on this, infant's learning content system based NyARToolkit for the mobile-based augmented reality was implemented. We are solved the unnatural problems by insert to color marker in the Implemented system. and infant can study seamlessly because concentration increases by the familiar character on the markers.

Design and Implementation of a Low-Code/No-Code System

  • This paper is about environment-based low-code and no-code execution platform and execution method that combines hybrid and native apps. In detail, this paper describes the Low-Code/No-Code execution structure that combines the advantages of hybrid and native apps. It supports the iPhone and Android phones simultaneously, supports various templates, and avoids developer-oriented development methods based on the production process of coding-free apps and the produced apps play the role of Java virtual machine (VM). The Low-Code /No-Code (LCNC) development platform is a visual integrated development environment that allows non-technical developers to drag and drop application components to develop mobile or web applications. It provides the functions to manage dependencies that are packaged into small modules such as widgets and dynamically loads when needed, to apply model-view-controller (MVC) pattern, and to handle document object model (DOM). In the Low-Code/No-Code system, the widget calls the AppOS API provided by the UCMS platform to deliver the necessary requests to AppOS. The AppOS API provides authentication/authorization, online to offline (O2O), commerce, messaging, social publishing, and vision. It includes providing the functionality of vision.

An Image Denoising Algorithm Using Multiple Images for Mobile Smartphone Cameras (스마트폰 카메라에서 다중 영상을 이용한 영상 잡음 제거 알고리즘)

  • In this study we propose an image denoising algorithm which manipulates the information obtained from multiple images in the same environment for mobile smart phones. We also envisage a multiple images registration method for mobile smart phone cameras equipped with limited computing ability and present an effective image denoising algorithm combining and manipulating the information obtained from multiple images. We proved that the proposed algorithm has much better PSNR value than the method applying single image. We verified that the propose approach has good denoising quality and can be utilized in the feasible level speed on Android smart phones.
