F. L. Wright was, from his early days, influenced by Japanese Culture and endeavored his original concept of orgonic orchitecture. In his 1st Golden Age, he devoted to establish an architectural concept of Organism which was proved by the theories of New Science and also had been universal in ancient Orient. Later, in his 2nd Golden Age, he tried to embody his unique concept in prairie houses and office buildings. The organic structure and spatial unit that actually applied to these works, were good examples of realization of the simplicity and continuity which he found out in Japanese culture. This paper is to study on the influence of Japanese culture on a course of Wright's embodying his organic architecture, and to study on a way of its realization in his works. To be concrete, main contents of the study are as follows; 1) the relationship between Wright's integrate perception and the orientalism 2) the influence of the traditional Japanese painting like woodblock prints and the aesthetic theory of the traditional Japanese pictorial art on Wright's design principles 3) the influence of Wright's experiences in Japan on his design principles 4) the influence of Wright's analysis of the traditional Japanese dwelling on his design principles 5) the course of Wright's embodying his organic architecture concept, and the way of its realization in his works.
Monchenkocyclops gen. nov. was erected to accommodate M. changi sp. nov. from South Korea (type species), M. mirabdullayevi sp. nov. from Kazakhstan, M. biarticulatus (Monchenko, 1972) comb. nov. from Uzbekistan, and M. biwensis (Ishida, 2005) comb. nov. from Japan. The latter species was originally described from surface-water habitats of the ancient Lake Biwa in the genus Diacyclops Kiefer, 1927, while two Central Asian species were previously collected from groundwater habitats and assigned to the genus Acanthocyclops Kiefer, 1927. Monchenkocyclops changi is also found in subterranean waters, and described here in detail. It is morphologically most similar to its Uzbek congener (not to the Japanese one), which rises some interesting zoogeographical questions about the disjunct distribution of this genus. Range fragmentation is a more plausible explanation for this distribution pattern than range expansion, and we emphasize four lines of evidence that support this hypothesis. Four species of Monchenkocyclops share not only the same segmentation of the swimming legs, but also the exact same armature formula of all swimming legs, in addition to many other morphological characters, such as the caudal rami shape and armature, absence of exopod on the antenna, similar shape of the seminal receptacle, fifth leg, etc. They can be distinguished mostly by the relative length of different armature elements, such as the innermost terminal caudal setae, and inner setae and apical spines on the third endopodal segment of the fourth leg. A dichotomous key to species is provided.
This study was designed to investigate the health promotion effect of fermented milk and historical story of Korean dairy products from the ancient period to present. Although the origin of fermented milk is Europe, the recede of fermented milk was founded in far-east and middle east areas at BC 4C. After the spread of fermented milk to Korea and Japan. The consumption of fermented milk in Korea was dramatically increased to 14.2 kg per person in 1997. Health promotion effect of fermented milk can be devided to 5 major effected improvements of intestinal microflora, anticancer, cholesterol assimilation anti-pathogenic activity. Fermented milk reduced the level of ${\beta}$-glucornidase and nitroreductase to 50% and it provides anticancer activity by cell wall an polysaccharides. Fermented milk has cholesterol assimilation activity ca. 54${\sim}$40% (B. longum, Str. thermophillus). Anti-pathogenic activity of fermented milk was significant. It appeared that Sal. ser. typhimurium was more susceptible than 5. coli 0157 at low pH fermented milk. Viable cells of E. coli 0157 were not dramatically decreased in most of fermented milks tested, but in general, Sal. ser. typhimurium was drastically decreased in most of the fermented milks.
In this study, it has compared and investigated the architecture of Six-Dynasty in China which was the same period of Baegje. There are no buildings to remain as a Baegje's architecture, but the architectural traces are remained. Especially, the architectural traces in Six-Dynasty are much left in cave temples. The reason to compare the architecture between China and Baegje intends to restore the Baegje's architectural style ultimately. The two countries, China and Baegje, were very close and they traded each other at that time. In the method of comparison, it has been investigated the form, the style and characteristics in each parts such as podium, column base, column, doors and windoors, brackets and roofs. As a result of the study, it has shown that the Baegje's architecture was not splendid compared to the architecture of Six-Dynasty. Baegje developed it's own architectural technique and used it only to the Baegje architecture. Since there was historical records that Baegje sent it's own architectural engineers to surrounding countries, Silla and Japan, it confirms that Baegje's architectural techniques were excellent. We need more time and constant research to restore the Baegje's architectural style ahead of time.
The detailed names and meanings of Korean stone pagodas have not yet been properly studied or clearly defined. Therefore, an aim of this report is to compare the detailed names of Korean, Chinese, and Japanese stone pagodas by focusing on content used previously by Ko and his students and content that is currently in use (i.e., since the Japanese colonial era). Additional objectives are to assess the significance of these names and propose an appropriate detailed draft regarding names of stone pagodas. The discussion will proceed by dividing the stone pagoda into three parts: the podium, main structure, and finial. First, the content in Luo Zhewen(羅哲文)'s "Ancient pagodas in China(中國古塔)" (1985) is considered; then, "朝鮮の石塔" (1943)-published by during the Japanese colonial era-is explored. The thesis written by Yu-Seop Ko regarding Korea's first stone pagoda and the content in "A Study of Korean Pagodas(朝鮮塔婆의 硏究)" (1948), which contains Yu-Seop Ko's posthumous works published in book form by his student Su-Yeong Hwang, Heu-Kyoung Kim are examined. to pagodas that are used today, are compared and reviewed. Since Korea, China, and Japan influence each other, pagoda-related terms are shared to some extent. In this study, these were applied to stone pagodas, and names used thus far that have not drawn criticism were studied and proposed as suitable alternatives.
Chemical composion and crystal form of Corrosion products found on archaeological iron objects were analyzed using X-ray fluorescence analysis, micro-X-ray powder diffraction analysis and ion chromatographic technique. The nature and behavior of the corrosion products were studied in order to aid in the conservation and restoration of burial iron objects. Twenty-two samples analyzed in this study were collected from iron object found in Korea and Japan. The corrosion products of iron objects from burial mounds contain $\alpha$-FeOOH, $\beta$-FeOOH, $\gamma$-FeOOH, $Fe_3O_4$and amorphous iron hydroxides. The content of $\alpha$-HeOOH is the greatest. Because, Ageing for long period should change the amorphous iron hydroxides is considerably less than that in usual atmospheric corrosion products. The concentration of chlorine and sulfine is remarkably variable ($Cl^-$ : 100- 30,000ppm, $SO_4^-2$ : 20-10,000ppm),but the reasons are unclear. The presence of generally high concentrations of chlorine and sulfine the corrosion products of iron objects seem to be influenced by the marine climatic condition. The presence of high chlorine and sulfine concentrations in the corrosion products of iron objects seem to be influenced by the marine burial environments.
The Allium tuberosum is a perennial herb. From the ancient times, it has been used for food or medical purpose. Allium tuberosum is widely distributed in Korea, China, Japan and other countries. As herbal medicine, the Allium tuberosum has medical effects on lumbago, sthenia, diuresis, nocturia, hematemesis, anemia, haemorrhoid, hiccups, diarrhea, eczema, sunstroke, pollution and so on. Recently, the Allium tuberosum has been studied on its components, anti-microorganism action, anti-fungal action, anti-arteriosclerosis action, anti-cancer action. However, there has not been any study on hematological effect of allium tuberosum extract on the blood in large dogs whereas the effects of excess garlic and onion on the blood of cattle, horses, dogs, cats and sheep has been reported by many researchers. Thus, this study was performed to observe the hematological effect of excessive Allium tuberosum extract administrated in large dogs. 1. The Red Blood Cell(R3C) count was significantly decreased(p<0.05), Packed Cell Volume (PCV) count were significantly decreased(P<0.05), and Reticulocyte count was significantly increased(p<0.05) 2. The White Blood Cell(WBC) count was significantly increased(p<0.05).3. The Hemoglobin concentration was significantly decreased(p<0.05) and Mean Corpuscular Hemoglobin Concentration (MCHC) was increased. and Mean Corpuscular Volume(MCV) was significantly increased.(p<0.05). 4. The Reduced glutathione(GSH) and Met-Hemoglobin were significantly increased (p<0.05).
This paper is writed in "Kojiki" and "Nihonshoki" chronicles of the most important in the configuration of the myth known as the 'the myth of Himuka' and the myth of the most important factor in transmission is to analyze the structural 'the myth of Tensonkorin'. There is dual structure and the two appeared in the literature about the relationship between Korea and tried to consider. Korea in terms of both tradition and the literature is limited. However, each appeared sporadically in the literature in their own tradition, elements of ancient Korea shows signs of a glimpse of the image. It appeared that 'the myth of Tensonkorin' in 'Kojiki' 'Kara' is said. They also commonly appear in the literature about the cheonsongangrimsinhwae academia in Japan until now, the so-called 'Himuro car myth' has been recognized as a starting point. However, a closer analysis of the literature focused on factors that cheonsongangrimdameun xi 'Himuro car myth differs from. Sora can see that John bukbanghyeong tradition. The myth of the southern Kyushu region and annexed 'the myth of Himuka' that can tell incorporated into.
The intention of this article is to check for the believers in Daesoonjinrihoe how to perceive the gods who they believe in. For that intention, I explained how the perception of gods in Daesoonjinrihoe is different from the perception of gods in other religions. To make a long story short, because of its polytheism the idea of god in Daesoonjinrihoe is different from monotheism such as Christianity, Islam. In addition, in spite of its polytheism it is different from other polytheism such as the religion in ancient India, especially rig-vedicreligion. In this article it is said that the believers in Daesoonjinrihoe have understood the distinction between Shin(神) and Shinmyung(神明). Nowadays Shin that has been used in Korea, China, Japan, is the word that was translated from English god. Therefore we need to reappraise the meaning of the word Shin. Anyway Shin that is being used in general means Shinmyung in Daesoonjinrihoe. Instead when they say the name of functional gods and the name to which the meaning of its origin affixed, the word Shin is used. Meanwhile, it has the advantage of classifying the ideas of god, but we can't explain all of them through the use of those classifications. I checked some classifications in this article and tried to apply the idea of gods in Daesoonjinrihoe. As a result, each classification has some critical points. There fore in this article I explained the distinguishing ideas of god in Daesoonjinrihoe from that in other religions, instead of the explaining fitted those classifications.
The Chandi Borobudur was likely constructed around 800 AD, during the period of the Sailendra dynasty in central Java, Indonesia. The Chandi Borobudur have 1460 narrative panels of reliefs which are distributed from the hidden foot to the fourth gallery. The 160 panels show various scenes of actions producing the corresponding results according to the Karmavibhanga(分別善惡報應經) text. Blameworthy activities with their purgatorial punishments and praiseworthy activities with their subsequent rewards are both shown. The 120 panels depict the biography of Buddha according to the Lalitavistara (方廣大莊嚴經) text. The 620 panels depict stories from Jatakas (本生譚) and Avadanas (譬喩經). The stories of 560 panels are based on Mahayayana (入法界品, 488 panels) and Bhadrucari (普賢行願讚, 72 panels) of Gandavyuha (華嚴經) text. In this study, among the 120 narrative reliefs which tell the life story of Buddha according to the Lalitavistara text in Chandi Borobudur, the images of Birth of Siddhārtha(誕生), The Great Departure (出家), Attaintment of Enlightenment (成道) and The First Sermon (初轉法輪) have been compared with the images of biography of Buddha showing in Ancient India, Gandhara and South India, and China. From a historical perspective of cultural exchange, Borobudur is very important site because it is located on the south route of transmission of Buddhism from India to South Asia, China, Korea and Japan. Study on the reliefs sculptured on the wall of Chandi Borobudur provide us information to understand the process of spreading and changes in styles of Buddhist arts.
