A Study on the Applicability of Hyperbolic Settlement Prediction Method to Consolidation Settlement in the Dredged and Reclaimed Ground (준설매립지반의 압밀침하에 대한 쌍곡선 침하예측기법의 적용성 연구)

  • Applicability of hyperbolic settlement prediction method to consolidation settlement in the dredged and reclaimed ground was assessed by analyzing results of centrifuge tests modelling self-weight consolidation of soft marine clay. From literature review about self-weight consolidation of soft marine clays located in southern coast in Korea, constitutive relationships of void ratio - effective stress - permeability and typical self-weight consolidation curves with time were obtained by analyzing centrifuge model experiments. For the condition of surcharge loading, exact solution of consolidation settlement curve obtained by using Terzaghi's consolidation theory was compared with results predicted by the hyperbolic method. It was found to have its own inherent error to predict final consolidation settlement. From results of analyzing thc self-weight consolidation with time by using this method, it predicted relatively well in error range of 0.04~18% for the case of showing the linearity in the relationship between T vs T/S in the stage of consolidation degree of 60~90 %. However, it overestimated the final settlement with large errors if those relation curves were nonlinear.

Ballistic Match Analysis for 5.56 MM Bullet with New Copper Core Material (5.56밀리 소화기탄 탄자 코어 재질 변경에 따른 동심탄의 탄도호환성 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to inspect ballistic match of copper bullet at 4 points by analyzing vertical deviation about shot group of the 5.56 mm common bullets and copper bullets. The 5.56 mm bullet with new copper core material was developed for mitigation of environmental pollution and harmfulness to human body. The results of this study are as follows; using the regression analysis, estimated reference value of ballistic match were 51.6 mm, 64.9 mm, 87.3 mm and 99.6 mm at 25 m, 100 m, 200 m and 250 m range respectively. When analyzing the shooting test data, alternative hypothesis(The vertical deviations are less than the reference value) was adopted as the result of analyzing data using t-test. And the values of data through tool(PRODAS) and standard trajectory equation meet requirements of estimated ballistic match respectively. In conclusion, the level of ballistic match of 5.56 mm copper bullets meets the estimated reference level through regression analysis at 4 points.

  • The purpose of this study is not only to widen and deepen the understanding of external environments of hairstyle but also to provide the basis of understanding and perspicacity as to the hairstyle which will be created under the influence of new music by contemplating distinctions between Glam Fashion and Punk Fashion of 1970s and by comparing and analyzing distinctions between Glam Hairstyle and Punk Hair Style of 1970s. As the method of this study, first of all four common factors, which are resistance, androgynous, beauty of ugliness and pursuit of pleasure through persona, were able to be ed from both Glam Fashion and Punk Fashion of 1970s, and then by using that factors as analyzing instrumental frame, the above two hairstyles were compared and analyzed through photographic materials in this study. According to the results of comparing and analyzing two hairstyles above, in Glam Hairstyle, the androgynous character is the most remarkable distinction. They tried to overturn the gender role by challenging the traditional color and form of hairstyle. In funk Hairstyle, the resistance is the most prominent distinction. They expressed their group identity resisting a pre-existing generation by putting on threatened and aggressive hairstyle.

  • For prediction of ground movement per the excavation step, observational results of ground movement during the construction was very different with prediction during the analysis of design. step because of the uncertainty of the numerical analysis modelling, the soil parameter, and the condition of a construction field, etc. however accuratly numerical analysis method was applied. Therefore, the management system through the construction field measurement should be achieved for grasping the situation during the excavation. Until present, the measurement system restricted by ‘Absolute Value Management system’only analyzing the stability of present step was executed. So, it was difficult situation to expect the prediction of ground movement for the next excavation step. In this situation, it was developed that ‘The Management system TOMAS-EXCAV’ consisted of ‘Absolute value management system’ analyzing the stability of present step and ‘Prediction management system’ expecting the ground movement of next excavation step and analyzing the stability of next excavation step by‘Back Analysis’. TOMAS-EXCAV could be applied to all uncertainty of earth retaining structures analysis by connecting ‘Forward analysis program’ and ‘Back analysis program’ and optimizing the main design variables using SQP-MMFD optimization method through measurement results. The application of TOMAS-EXCAV was confirmed that verifed the three earth retaing construction field by back analysis.

  • The purpose of this study is to classify defects of the residential building by analyzing the defect specified by prequalification of residential building reconstruction and to suggest the solution of the problem which can be arisen during each stage of plan, construction and maintenance. By sorting the main defects which is specified by pre-qualification of residential building reconstruction for three years from August 2006 to August 2009 into 4 catagories and analyzing the cause of the defects, we draw the way of maintenance to prevent the defects and make pleasant residential environment. The reason for the frequent defects from residential building is mainly deterioration. It occured on the finishing more than on the structure, which means that residents can find defects easier on the finishing than the structure and clear the demand for repair. The result of analyzing of pre-qualification of residential building reconstruction is that the defects mostly caused small, masonry constructed and lower apartment. The apartment which is not into legal right for maintenance naturally have more defects than the others. In conclusion, it is necessary to establish a law of obligation duty of the maintenance of small apartment.

  • Of the various data that corporations can approach, web log data are important data that correspond to data analysis to implement customer relations management strategies. As the volume of approachable data has increased exponentially due to the Internet and popularization of smart phone, web log data have also increased a lot. As a result, it has become difficult to expand storage to process large amounts of web logs data flexibly and extremely hard to implement a system capable of categorizing, analyzing, and processing web log data accumulated over a long period of time. This study thus set out to apply Hadoop, a distributed processing system that had recently come into the spotlight for its capacity of processing large volumes of data, and propose an efficient analysis plan for large amounts of web log. The study checked the forms of web log by the effective web log collection methods and the web log levels by using Hadoop and proposed analysis techniques and Hadoop organization designs accordingly. The present study resolved the difficulty with processing large amounts of web log data and proposed the activity patterns of users through web log analysis, thus demonstrating its advantages as a new means of marketing.

  • The behaviour of pressure vessel made of SS41 steel was investigated during hydrotest. AE tests were carried out for the vessels in as-manufactured, V-notched and weld-cracked state using microcomputer-based AE instrumentation. The following results were obtained: 1) In the case of source location using cylindrical program, to minimize the error of source location, the difference of max. Delta T values measured from each sensor should be kept as small as possible. 2) When crack grew, AE event rate increased continuously but AE event from the inclusions occurred intermittently, so by analyzing event rate, the source of AE could be derived. 3) From the spot welding part of supporter, many events with low energy occurred independent of Kaiser effect, which could be confirmed by analyzing energy parameter. 4) The b-value from the tensile specimen of was lower than that from normal specimen and the b-value from crack propagation was lower than that from deformation, so by analyzing peak amplitude distribution, the source mechanism could be derived from the b-value.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop the uniaxial force plate system which is measured by the vertical force. The VGRF(vertical ground reaction force) 1.0 was composed of 2 bath digital scales, 2 indicaters, and analyzing software. This system was newly renovated to VGRF 2,0 which are 2 industrial digital scales, 2 adjustable indicators, and enforced analyzing software. Changes of the new system were as follows. First, the height of the plate was 75% lower than before. Second, sensing ability of the load cell was changed from 90 - 0.05kg to 300 - 0.1kg. Third, the speed of data processing was changed from 17 per second to 60 per second. Fourth, analyzing software was enforced to develop and calculate the data. For the test of the system, two different types(bare foot, high-heeled shoes) gait was adopted. highly skilled female walker(23yrs, height 165cm, body mass 46.8kg) participated for the experimental study. During the dynamic performance(gait analysis), the data of each load cell were very similar to the previous studies. Specifically, bare foot walking had less vertical force than high-heeled shoes. Consequently, VGRF 2.0 can sense the general dynamic movements as well as static load conditions.

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest customized service for managing solitary death using lifelog of the elderly living alone. The use of the lifelog technology is due to the advantage of suggesting a personalized service by analyzing the current situation by searching the past experiences of the elderly living alone. The method of study is reviewing literature and previous studies and collecting and analyzing the lifelog information of elderly living alone. The results of the study are as follows. First, it examined the problem of solitary death of the elderly living alone and tried to grasp the problem of the service using the IT technology supported by the government. Second, the lifelog information of the elderly living alone A was collected for two weeks. And the daily patterns of elderly living alone were analyzed through lifelog interpretation. Third, we proposed and discussed the residents' personalized service for managing solitary death based on the lifelog of the elderly living alone. It is an advantage of this paper that it is possible to support customized services by analyzing the general behavior of the elderly living alone and the exceptional behavior in the housing. However, the limitation of this study is that it does not reflect more subjects with various characteristics.

Study of Digital Analysis Efficiency through a Complexity Analysis (복잡성 분석을 통한 디지털 분석의 유효성에 관한 연구)

  • This study intends to prepare a system that can be used, by applying digital technique, in analyzing complexity of architectural forms that have been visualized by the correlation based on the distribution chart made in accordance with profile lines. The profile lines are derived from the edge analysis of the architectural forms, simplified based on the visual theory. For the purpose, this study was conducted in the following ways: First, problems of the existing models for the elevation analysis were examined along with formal analysis based on visual recognition to consider the profile lines derived from the forms. Secondly, in elevation analysis, profile lines were derived by digital method to measure them qualitatively. To verify the objectivity of the measured data value, a survey was conducted based on the adjective cataloging method, and the correlation of the survey result and analyzed data was analyzed to verify the validity of the derived data. Thirdly, supplementation for the problems deducted from experiments and the possibility to use it in designing were suggested. Digital method has many advantages over the conventional analyzing system in deriving precise data value by excluding subjectivity. It also allows various analytical methods in analyzing numerous data repeatedly. Diversified models and methods of analysis considering numerous factors arising in the process of designing remain assignments to research in future.
