Performance Analysis of Distributed Antenna Systems with Antenna Selection over MIMO Rayleigh Fading Channel

  • The downlink performance of distributed antenna systems (DAS) with antennas selection is investigated in Rayleigh fading multicell environment, and the corresponding system capacity and bit error rate (BER) analysis are presented. Based on the moment generating function, the probability density function (PDF) and cumulative distribution function (CDF) of the effective signal to interference plus noise ratio (SINR) of the system are first derived, respectively. Then, with the available CDF and PDF, the accurate closed-form expressions of average channel capacity and average BER are further derived for exact performance evaluation. To simplify the expression, a simple closed-form approximate expression of average channel capacity is obtained by means of Taylor series expansion, with the performance results close to the accurate expression. Besides, the system outage capacity is analyzed, and an accurate closed-form expression of outage capacity probability is derived. These theoretical expressions can provide good performance evaluation for DAS downlink. It can be shown by simulation that the theoretical analysis and simulation are consistent, and DAS with antenna selection outperforms that with conventional blanket transmission. Moreover, the system performance can be effectively improved as the number of receive antennas increases.

교육행정정보시스템의 운영실태분석 (Analysis on the Operation Status of National Education Information System)

  • 본 연구는 NEIS의 운영실태를 분석하여 보다 효율적인 NEIS 운영방안을 모색함으로써 시스템에 대한 개선방안을 제시하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위한 방법으로 초 중 고등학교 교사들에게 5가지 부분(C/S에 대한 인식, NEIS 도입 및 추진과정, 교무 학사 세부업무별 만족도, 기능 및 효율성, 보안 및 기술적 문제)으로 나누어 설문 조사를 실시하였고, 그 결과를 분석하여 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, C/S도입 초기에도 논란은 많았지만 기능면에 만족하고 있었으며, 서버 다운으로 인해 업무에 차질을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 전자정부 추진사항으로서의 NEIS 도입은 일선교사들의 의견을 충분히 수렴하지 않은 상태에서 너무 성급하게 시행되었다는 견해가 많았다. 앞으로 정상적으로 정착될 것이라고 기대하는 측면이 높았다. 셋째, NEIS 교무 학사 세부업무별 만족도 조사에서는 대체적으로 긍정적 반응이 높게 나타났다. 넷째, 대부분의 교사들이 NEIS에 대한 기능을 알고 있고, 기존 C/S보다 편리하다고 인식하고 있었다. NEIS를 사용함으로써 업무가 경감되었다고 느끼는 교사들은 적었으나, 출결 등 통계처리에 수월하다는 응답이 높았다. 다섯째, NEIS는 개인정보유출과 보안에 문제가 있으나, 정보화 시대에 꼭 필요한 시스템이라고 인식하고 있는 교사들이 많았다. 따라서 NEIS의 인권침해의 가능성은 간과할 수 없지만 시스템의 지속적인 보안이 기술적 법제도적으로 병행되어 더욱 효율적인 시스템으로 거듭날 수 있도록 심층적인 연구가 뒷받침되어야 할 것이다.

교무업무시스템의 기록관리 기능 분석 - 학교생활기록부를 중심으로 - (A Functional Analysis of NEIS School Affairs Business System : From the Records Management Perspective)

  • 정보통신기술의 급속한 발전은 행정에 대한 국민의 참여 욕구와 다양하고 신속한 행정서비스 욕구의 증대로 나타나고 있다. 이러한 시대적 요청에 부응하여 교육과학기술부에서는 '전국단위 교육행정정보시스템(NEIS : National Education Information System-이하 NEIS)'을 구축하여 국민에 대한 서비스 제공과 교육행정의 생산성과 투명성을 높이기 위하여 노력하고 있다. 2003년부터 본격적으로 운영하게 된 교육행정정보시스템(NEIS)은 16개 시 도교육청 및 교육과학기술부에 시스템을 구축하고 모든 교육행정기관 및 초 중등학교를 인터넷으로 연결하였다. 그러나 교육행정정보시스템(NEIS)은 개인 정보 유출에 대한 우려와 관련 법규의 미정비에 대한 불법성, 보안 문제 등 많은 문제점을 내포하고 있다. NEIS 교무업무시스템은 학교생활기록부를 비롯하여 학생들의 개인 신상정보와 성적 등 준영구 이상의 중요 기록물을 전자적 방식으로 다량 생산하고 있다. 그러나 이렇게 생산된 기록물은 각 시 도교육청 DB에 축적되어져 있는 상태이며 전자기록물로 생산되고는 있으나 이를 장기적으로 활용 보존할 수 있는 정책이 마련되어있지 못한 상태이다. 따라서 NEIS 교무업무시스템을 통하여 전자적으로 생산되는 기록물 중 학교생활기록부의 기록 관리과정을 ISO15489에 따라 비교 분석해 봄으로서 기록물의 4대 속성이 보장될 수 있는 기록물 관리 방안을 제시해보고자 한다.

국내 뇌졸중 편마비 환자를 대상으로 한 건측억제-환측유도 치료효과의 메타분석 (Meta-Analysis of Constraint-Induced Movement Therapy in Hemiplegic Stroke Patient in Korea)

  • This meta-analysis investigated the effects on arm motor impairment, arm motor function and disability, and psychological aspects of constraint-induced movement therapy (CIMT) for upper extremity hemiparesis following stroke, based on Korean studies. A comprehensive search of the complete Korean studies information service system (KISS), Research Information Sharing Service (RISS), Korea National Library, and the Korean Medical Database to September 2011 was conducted. Eleven eligible controlled clinical trials compared CIMT to a control group or an alternative treatment. All outcome measures of arm motor impairment, arm motor function and disability, and psychological aspects were pooled for calculating effect size. The overall effect size of CIMT was .700 (95% confidence interval=.482~.918). The CIMT programs showed large effect on the aspect of arm motor function and disability (the effect size is .920) and the psychological aspect (the effect size is .946). The effect of CIMT on arm motor impairment was moderate (the effect size is .588). These results show that CIMT may improve upper extremity motor impairment, function and disability, and psychological aspects following stroke. However, these results were based on a small number of studies, and not all of them were randomized control trials. Additional research is needed to include larger well-designed trials to resolve these uncertainties.

An Analysis of University Students' Needs for Learning Support Functions of Learning Management System Augmented with Artificial Intelligence Technology

  • The aim of this study is to identify intelligent learning support functions in Learning Management System (LMS) to support university student learning activities during the transition from face-to-face classes to online learning. To accomplish this, we investigated the perceptions of students on the levels of importance and urgency toward learning support functions of LMS powered with Artificial Intelligent (AI) technology and analyzed the differences in perception according to student characteristics. As a result of this study, the function that students considered to be the most important and felt an urgent need to adopt was to give automated grading and feedback for their writing assignments. The functions with the next highest score in importance and urgency were related to receiving customized feedback and help on task performance processed as well as results in the learning progress. In addition, students view a function to receive customized feedback according to their own learning plan and progress and to receive suggestions for improvement by diagnosing their strengths and weaknesses to be both vitally important and urgently needed. On the other hand, the learning support function of LMS, which was ranked as low importance and urgency, was a function that analyzed the interaction between professors and students and between fellow students. It is expected that the results of this student needs analysis will be helpful in deriving the contents of learning support functions that should be developed as well as providing basic information for prioritizing when applying AI technology to implement learner-centered LMS in the future.

  • The use of innovative technologies is one of the promising areas of education development, so the article clarifies the content of the terms "innovation" "pedagogical technology". Our goal is to justify the need to use innovative technologies in education. Innovative technologies are divided into four groups, depending on the appropriate form of educational activity for their use. The development of innovative pedagogical technologies at the present stage of education development should be carried out in accordance with the criteria of technological efficiency, which are presented in the article: scientific; systematic; guaranteed; manageable; mass. Based on the analysis of the process of formation of pedagogical education, the main trends in the information support of teachers in the system of pedagogical education were revealed. Its theoretical and methodological foundations were determined, promising directions and main ways of improving the information support of teachers' education as an organic component of continuous pedagogical education in Ukraine were justified. The conducted study of the state of information support for teachers allowed us to establish that the main functions of scientific and pedagogical information - analytical and predictive, integrative, operational and purposeful informing of various categories of specialists - teachers-are not being implemented enough. This is due to the versatility and complexity of the pedagogical process, the low level and limited range of development of systems of operational differentiated scientific and methodological services for various categories of teachers. Ways to improve the information function of teacher education are determined.

  • In contemporary education, the rapid advancement of digital technologies elevates demands for integrating the latest tools into the learning process. Mathematical analysis, as a discipline, benefits from computer mathematics in distance education, enhancing practical aspects and enabling individualized learning. This article addresses the integration of the Maple computer mathematics system into higher education, specifically in teaching "Mathematical Analysis." Emphasizing its role in distance learning, computer mathematics optimizes the educational environment, reducing the time required for knowledge acquisition. The article showcases the application of Maple in finding extremum points and introduces an educational software simulator, enabling students to practice the method. The simulator, developed within Maple, facilitates self-checking and enhances the study of functions. Conclusions drawn from the study highlight the positive impact of these tools on distance education, affirming Maple's role in enhancing professional training and information culture among higher education students.

  • Information on maritime boundaries is essential to manage ocean and fisheries effectively in the era of the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea. With various information regarding to maritime boundaries analysed and reviewed, maritime boundaries are mainly divided into two categories such as international and domestic boundaries and also sub-divided into two aspects such as administrative and other boundaries. After clarification of boundary information, the geographical natures of boundaries, for instance datum, projection, line types, are reviewed. The Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is used for the establishment, management and utilization of boundary information due to its strong function in database, analysis, visualization, etc.

  • 웹 기반 교육 시스템은 정보의 일방적인 전달방식에서, 사용자와의 양방향적인 정보교환방식으로 변화되었다. 이에 따라, CGI(Common Gateway Interface)와 같은 서버측 언어와 데이터베이스를 이용하여 각 기능분리에 따른 3-계층 모델로 구현되어왔다. 그러나, 최근 CBSD(Component Based Software Development)기법이 많은 관심을 받으며, 이를 적용하려는 노력들이 나타나고 있다. 이에 따라, 본 연구에서는 컴포넌트 기반의 문제풀이 시스템을 구현하였다. 이를 위하여, 웹 서버측 컴포넌트 모델인 EJB(Enterprise Java Beans)를 이용하였으며, 컴포넌트들 사이의 메시지 흐름에 대한 정형적인 명세를 위하여 페트리 넷을 이용하였다.

S이러닝체계에 대한 공군 교육생의 인식 분석 (Analysis of Air Force Trainee's Preception of e-learning system)

  • 공군 이러닝체계 구축을 위해 공군 교육체계에 대한 선행 연구 자료 분석과 함께 공군 교육생들을 대상으로 한 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문조사 결과 3,597명이 응답하였고, 그 결과 공군 교육생 대부분이 이러닝에 대한 경험이나 인식은 부족하나, 기회가 주어진다면 이러닝 강좌를 수강하기를 원하고 있었다. 또한, 기존의 학습 포털 시스템에 대한 기능 개선에 대한 요구가 많았고, 집합교육보다는 개별교육을, 제한된 컴퓨터실보다는 자유 공간에서 학습하기를 원하였다. 이러한 연구 결과를 토대로 공군 이러닝체계 구축에 필요한 요소를 크게 콘텐츠, 교관, 교육생, 서비스 등 4가지로 구분하고, 이에 대한 구체적인 개선 방안을 제안하였다.
