Ocular Inspection Using Color Analysis in CIE Lab for Kidney Disease in Various Situations (다양한 환경 하에서 신장 질환 진단을 위한 색차 기반 찰색 방법의 제안)

  • Ocular inspection in oriental medicine, which identifies sickness by patient's skin color, is usually applied by doctor's subjective judgment. In order to reduce the subjectiveness of diagnosis, we propose a method of objective and quantitative analysis for ocular inspection. The most issued features for ocular inspection are how to identify the color of patients' face in various situations, and how to link the relation between color and sickness. For resolving these two issues, the color system of CIE Lab is adopted for analyzing and classifying the color characteristics. The classification of color features is verified by experiments on groups of patients and non-patients. The results of experiments showed that the proposed method can provide an objective means for ocular inspection using patient's skin color.

  • One of the most important things in the researches on diseases is to attach more importance to prevention of a disease and preservation of health than to treatment of a disease, also to foods rather than to medicines. In this context, the most significant concern in examining a patient is to find the presence of disease, and, if any, to diaguose the type of disease, after which a pharmacotherapy is followed. In this paper, various diagnosis methods of Oriental medicines are discussed. And ocular inspection, the most important method among the 4 disease diagnoses of Oriental medicines, is studied. Observing a person's shape and color has been the major method for ocular inspection, which usually has been dependent upon doctor's intuition as of these days. We are developing an automatic system which provides objective basic data for ocular inspection. As the first stage, we applied the signal processing techniques to automatic feature extraction of faces for ocular inspection. Firstly, facial regions are extracted from the point of frontal view, which was followed by extraction of their features. The experiment applied to 20 persons showed that frontal face regions are perfectly extracted, as well as their features, such as eyes, eyebrows, noses and mouths. Future work will seek to address the issues of morphological operation for a few unfinished extraction results, such as combined hair and eyebrows.

  • Interest about baby health increased into promise of all life health on society. Prevention disease or treatment about baby health is important, but it is important that first of grasping baby state through correct diagnosis. In this paper, diagnosis method for baby ocular inspection of Oriental medicine applying image processing technology is presented. For this, extracting baby frontal face image based on skin color, five sensory organs extraction and extraction of myeongdang based on position information is proposed. Finally, usefulness of method Proposed by an experiment world prove.

  • People health improvement is becoming new subject through the combining with the oriental medicine diagnosis theory and IT technology. To do this, firstly, it needs sicked data that supply the visualization, objectification and quantification method. Especially, if an ocular inspection can be more objective and visual expression in oriental medicine, it seems to offer the biggest opportunity in diagnosis field. In this study, I propose a diagnosis to check the symptoms of heart diagnosis. Our research aim is on the visualization of diagnosis using image processing system which it can be actual analysis about the symptom of heart. To catch up this study, through the color support assistance by face image processing, I devide the face area and analyze the face form and also extract face characteristic point in heart disease diagnosis using oriental medicine based on an ocular inspection method. I would like to prove the usefulness of the method that proposed by an experiment.

  • Despite the effectiveness of oriental medical practice in the diagnosis of symptoms and providing cure to it, the preferences in western medicinal values is socially prevalent. The diagnosis of a disease using western medicinal practices provides us with an objective diagnostic result, however, decisions by oriental doctors are based on their heuristic intuitions developed by practice and experience. Objective solutions for the cure of symptoms using oriental medical therapy can have a high impact on the world market. Therefore, development of diagnostic machines based on oriental therapy can enhance the Ocular Inspection which is evaluated as one of the best diagnostic treatment among Oriental Medical Science, is not researched much compared to other diagnoses. Because there is no color diagnosis rules for digital machines to analyze the actual color, looking at the person's face color is one of the most important components to diagnose the disease or illness. The thesis proposes the implementation of absolute observing a person's face color standards of the color settings for objective diagnosis. As a results, comparative digital color analysis for observing a person's face color can be the most effective rule based Color scheme system to diagnose disease. A standard solution for the researching conditions is suggested to reduce the variable which may occur depending on the differences between the researching conditions.

Especially diagnosis development using ocular inspection method aspect of Oriental medicine among an aging society advance into cut the medical cost for contribution. Ocular inspection method the most important look at disease color that is Observing a Person's Shape and Color which is implementation the development of methodology and important the build of application ability system. So in this paper study observing a person's shape and color implementation of ocular inspection. Specially body's the five viscera presentate the five colors disease color in face that is important the color coordinate system thesis so that proceed the experiment for the color coordinate system analysis. Finally five color extract need the observing a person's shape and color through experiment select the digital color system and so real skin color analysis and comparison about the experiment which suggest the something to color coordinate system the best case of digital color system for observing a person's shape and color implementation.

  • In this paper, We propose face type classification, tongue region extraction and tongue color analysis method for Oriental medicine diagnosis system to supply web based medical treatment information. This presents to construct system that takes super aging society and uses ocular inspection and longue diagnosis in web-based to embody this by an IT Technology as generalization and popularization of medical benefit are social requirement and supplies medical treatment information. Place that reflect living body signal of human body ordinarily and appear becomes iris or tongue, five sensory organs etc. This paper proposes classification of face type, extraction of five sensory organs for observing a person's shape and color among diseases diagnosis based on home health care that propose to develop and region extraction and color analysis etc, of tongue which intensively represents the bio-signals of human-beings. Finally, the effectiveness of this paper is verified by several experiments.

  • In this paper, using a image processing techniques to develop an color analysis program to apply the influence analysis by smoking were analyzed. So, this study was conducted to analyze is based on oriental medicine diagnosis theory, especially ocular inspection, of the right cheek area of the lung and lung function and weakness associated with it closer to white by applying IT image processing techniques based on smoking to compare the change in color according to the face. From this, 15 patients with 20 male subjects before and after smoking extract the color of the area on the right cheek, a values and b values in Lab digital color system were analyzed by smoking how to analyze what is changing. Also, health care system based on this variation reflects the individual, personalized will be constructed. Experimental results on the right cheek area approach to the color white according to the amounts of smoking, this is by smoking adversely affects lungs function that can be analyzed.

  • 고령화 및 저출산 사회가 대두되면서 예방을 통해 건강을 지키고자 하는 노력이 증가되고 있으며, 비침습, 무자각의 한방 진단 기술에 대한 관심이 증대되고 있다. 그러나, 기존의 한방 진단 분야에서 가지고 있는 임상의의 직관에 의한 진단 결과의 시각화에 따른 문제를 해결하지 않고서는 신뢰도를 얻을 수 없다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 한방의 진단 분야 중 가장 중요한 망진(望診) 분야의 시각화, 객관화를 위해 입력 영상의 분석을 위한 최적화에 관한 연구를 하고자 한다. 이를 위해 입력 영상에 대한 색상 보정과 반사 보정을 통해 보다 정확한 색상값을 구하기 위한 연구를 진행한다. 또한, 컬러 영상의 최적화를 통한 보정 후의 결과 영상을 이용하여 망진에 필요한 얼굴 영역 추출을 나타내었다. 끝으로 실험을 통해 보정 전/후의 결과를 비교 평가하였다.
