  • 본 연구에서는 AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process)를 이용한 열 흐름상 에너지시스템의 평가와 함께 그 결과로서 시스템 대안들에 대한 우선순위를 제시하였으며 이를 통해 열공급 시스템에 대한 최적 의사결정을 도출할 수 있는 평가모형을 정립코자 하였다. 일반적으로 AHP 방법은 복잡한 의사결정 문제를 체계적으로 세분하여 분석할 수 있도록 하는 도구를 제공한다.(중략)

Maglev, Petroleum Demand, and Global Warming

  • According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, combustion of petroleum-based and other fossil fuels results in the increasing atmospheric concentrations of $CO_2$ and other greenhouse gases (GHG's) and is a major contributing factor to global warming. This paper includes estimates of the energy and petroleum use and the GHG emissions caused by the transportation sector. It then examines the extent to which diversions to alternative modes may be possible. Estimates are made of the potential reductions in energy and petroleum use and GHG emissions resulting from diversions from conventional modes, to both low-speed urban and high-speed intercity maglev vehicle trips based on "well-to-wheel" (i.e. total-fuel-cycle) calculations.

  • All elements and systems of electronics have optimum temperature conditions. A using of the thermoelectric method of cooling is the most approach for the thermal management of power electronics. An analysis of using the thermoelectric cooling and the temperature control is given as an efficient method of ensuring a work of power electronic devices in conditions of micro-miniaturization.

  • 1970 - 1980년대에 OPEC의 담합에 의한 오일쇼크로 초유의 어려움을 겪으며 자원수입국들은 화석 연료를 대신할 수 있는 대체에너지개발에 많은 노력을 기울여 왔다. 그 결과 지역 및 나라별로 특성 있는 대체에너지개발이 상당한 발전을 거듭하여 전체에너지 사용량의 10% 이상을 대체에너지로서 충당하고 있는 나라도 있다. 게다가 1990년대에 와서는 화석연료사용으로 인한 전 세계적 환경파괴문제가 대두되면서 단순한 화석연료의 대체가 아닌 환경친화적인 에너지의 개발 및 사용이 필요하게 되었다.(중략)

  • Modern society is making numerous efforts to reduce reliance on carbon-based energy systems. A notable solution in this transition is the adoption of lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) as potent energy sources, owing to their high energy and power densities. Driven by growing environmental challenges, the application scope of LIBs has expanded from their initial prevalence in portable electronic devices to include electric vehicles (EVs) and energy storage systems (ESSs). Accordingly, LIBs must exhibit long-lasting cyclability and high energy storage capacities to facilitate prolonged device usage, thereby offering a potential alternative to conventional sources like fossil fuels. Enhancing the durability of LIBs hinges on a comprehensive understanding of the reasons behind their performance decline. Therefore, comprehending the degradation mechanism, which includes detrimental chemical and mechanical phenomena in the components of LIBs, is an essential step in resolving cycle life issues. The LIB systems presently being commercialized and developed predominantly employ graphite anode and layered oxide cathode materials. A significant portion of the degradation process in LIB systems takes place during the electrochemical reactions involving these electrodes. In this review, we explore and organize the aging mechanisms of LIBs, especially those with graphite anodes and layered oxide cathodes.

  • The development of the solar and the wind power energy is necessary since the future alternative energies should have no pollution and no limitation. currently power generation system of MW scale has been developed, but it still has a few faults that its operation depends on with the weather condition. In order to solve these existing problems. combined generation system of photovoltaic(400W) and wind power generation system(400W) was suggested. It combines wind power and solar energy to have the supporting effect from each other. However. since the combined generation system cannot always generate stable output with ever-changing weather condition, power compensation device that uses elastic energy of spiral spring was added. In an experiment. when output of system gets lower than 12V(charging voltage), additional power was from the stored rotational energy of spiral spring.

  • Renewable energy is emerging as a reliable alternative source of energy, it is much safer, cleaner than conventional sources and has contributed significantly in this sector. However, there are still some challenges that needed to address this evolving technology. Artificial Intelligence (A. I.) can assess the past, optimize the present, and forecast the future. Therefore, A. I. will resolve most of these problems. Artificial intelligence is complex in nature, but it reduces error and aims to reach a greater degree of precision which make renewables smarter. This paper provides an overview of frequently used A. I. methods in solar energy applications. A sample algorithm is also provided for literature purposes and knowledge transfer.

  • The government established the 8th national energy plan that electricity energy from renewables in 2030 will be 20%. The frequency stability problem is one of the key issues to overcome for accomplishing the energy plan. Frequency quality deteriorates due to short term variations of renewables output. Battery energy storage system(BESS) is considered as a good alternative to improve the frequency quality due to its quick response. In this paper, we examined the effectiveness of BESS against the conventional governor properties.

  • Korea gets most of its housing energy from fossil fuel which can be mined only for 30 years. So the development of an alternative energy is very important. Solar and underground thermal energy are two of these alternatives but little study has been conducted on these. For use of underground energy, we need accurate data regarding underground temperature, but there are only 30 measuring points for underground temperature in the entire country. We need to have a method of predicting underground temperature precisely. In this study the underground temperature is measured at under 3m in Gumi, and these data are compared with predicted data for checking the accuracy of the predicting method.

  • 본 논문에서는, 제주지역 전력계통에 설치되는 에너지 저장장치의 경제성을 분석하였다. 본 논문에서 검토한 내용은, 현재 운영 중인 제주지역 내 발전소의 고정비와 변동비를 기준으로 에너지 저장장치의 고정비와 변동비를 비교한 것이다. 비교분석결과를 통해 에너지저장장치가 경제성 측면에서 이점이 있다는 것을 보여주었다. 에너지저장 장치는 유리한 경제성과 함께 신뢰도 측면에서도 좋은 역할을 할 것으로 기대된다.
