냉.온간포징법을 이용한 차세대 콤프레샤 실린더 블록 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development for the Future Compressor Cylinder Block Using of Cold & Hot Forging Method)

  • 알루미늄 합금은 자동차부품 및 전자부품산업 개발에 크게 기여하고 있는 소재로서, 제조방법 중 냉?온간 단조 공법에 의해 제조하는 것이 대량 생산되어지는 자동차 및 전자산업부품개발에 있어서 매우 효율적이다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 차세대 콤프레샤 실린더 블록 개발을 위하여,AI소재 (AI-Mg-Si계합금)를 활용, 냉 -온간 단조법을 이용 하여 개발하고자 한다. 이를 위해, 제조 시편의 미세조직 및 기계적 성질을 조사하였는데,미세조직은 공정형으로 구성되었으며, $Mg_2Si$의 중간상이 석출되었다. 그리고 인장강도는 291.7MPa 로 나타났으며, 그러한 결과를 바탕으 로 차세대 콤프레샤 실린더 블록시제품을 제작하였다.

  • Physical properties of Plasma electrolytic oxidized 8 different kinds of Al alloys, A-1100, A-2024, A-5052, A-6061, A-6063, A-7075, ACD-7B and ACD-12 were investigated. The electrolyte for PEO was $Na_2SiO_3$ and NaOH and some alkali earthen metal salts system solution. $\eta$-alumina, as well as $\gamma$-alumina, was main crystal phase, which were ever reported. Also, $Al_{4.95}Si_{1.05}O_{9.52}$ was found only in this research. So we can conclude that the process conditions of PEO apparatus and composition and concentration of its electrolyte affects crystal structure and physical properties of PEO layers much more than the compositions of Al alloy.

  • 본 연구에서는 표면파의 음향비선형 특성 측정을 위해 선 배열 레이저 빔을 이용하여 협대역의 표면파를 발생시키고 레이저 TWM(Two-Wave Mixing) 방식으로 수신하는 완전 비접촉 측정 방법이 도입되었다. 이 기술은 알루미늄 합금의 소성변형과 음향비선형 특성과의 상관성을 조사하는데 적용되었다. 그 결과, 재료의 소성변형에 따라 음향 비선형성이 비례적으로 증가하는 것으로 나타났으며, 이는 접촉식 PZT 탐촉자 수신 방법으로 측정한 결과와 동일한 경향이다.

  • At present, with the development of precision instruments, high dimensional accuracy of workpieces must be ensured. In particular, for the aluminum alloys used in automobiles, the surface roughness of the workpiece is extremely important. The dimensional accuracy and surface roughness of the workpiece is considerably affected by the rotational accuracy of the rotor. Therefore, to enhance the rotational accuracy, various variables such as those related to the components such as bearings, motors, and end mills, rotational speeds, and vibrations must be considered. In this study, the difference in the quality of the workpieces was compared considering the weight imbalance and rotational speed as variables.

  • Physical properties of Plasma electrolytic oxidized 8 different types of Al alloys, A-1100, A-2024, A-5052, A-6061, A-6063, A-7075, ACD-7B and ACD-12 were investigated. The electrolyte for PEO was $Na_2SiO_3$ solutions with NaOH and some alkali earthen metal salts. Porous layer near the surface of PEO coating was not found, and surface roughness Ra50 was below 2.5 ${\mu}m$. Surface roughness was affected by growth rate of plasma electrolytic oxidized layer, not by Si content in Al alloy.

  • A1100, A5052, A6061, A6063, A7075 규격의 시판 알루미늄 합금 판재를 $Na_2SiO_3$$Na_2P_2O_7$ 전해질에서 pulse폭 $2000{\mu}sec$, + impulse 420 V, $400{\mu}sec$, -impulse $300{\mu}sec$의 bipolar pulse로 플라즈마 전해 산화 코팅(plasma electrolytic oxidation coating)한 산화피막의 결정상을 분석하였다. 표면에 형성된 산화물의 결정상은 ${\alpha}-alumina$, ${\gamma}-alumina$, ${\eta}-alumina$, $Al_{4.95}Si_{1.05}O_{9.52}$, 그리고 $(Al_{0.9}Cr_{0.1})_2O_3$가 관찰되었다. Bipolar pulse에 의해서 전해액의 성분인 Si가 산화피막에 포함되며, 포함된 Si는 결정상을 형성하기도 하지만 유리상을 형성시킨다. 이때 합금의 Mg 성분은 유리상의 양을 증가시킨다. Micro plasma에 의해서 용융된 표면은 유리상이 먼저 형성되고 이후 계속된 micro plasma의 열에 의하여 새로운 결정상으로 전이가 일어나는 과정을 거치며, 이에 따라 기존에 보고된 결정상이외에도 다양한 결정상이 형성될 수 있음을 추측할 수 있다.

양극산화 알루미늄 합금6061의 초순수 물 윤활에서의 트라이볼로지적 특성 (Tribological Characteristics of Anodized Al 6061 Under Deinoized Water Lubricated Reciprocating Condition)

  • This study investigates friction and wear characteristics of anodized aluminum (Al) alloy 6061 by using a reciprocating tribotester. The diameter and height of the specimen are 30 mm and 10 mm, respectively. The surface roughness of the mirrored-surface is approximately $0.01{\sim}0.02{\mu}m$, and it is used throughout the current study. As a result of anodizing, the depth and diameter of the nanopore are approximately $25{\mu}m$ and 30-40 nm, respectively. The testing conditions are as follows: loads of 1, 3, and 5 N; a frequency of 1 Hz; a stoke of 3 mm; and a duration of 1800 s. We use deionized water with a volume of approximately $25{\mu}l$, as the lubricant. Micro Vickers hardness measurements show that mirrored-surface specimens had lower hardness values than anodized specimens. Further, their coefficients of friction are lower than those of the anodized samples, and the width of their wear track increases with load, as expected. The anodized specimens' coefficients of friction increase with stable frictional behavior and exhibit insignificant load dependence. Further, we observe that the width of the wear track is less than that of the mirrored-surface specimens, and micro cracks are present near it. Moreover, the anodizing process increases the hardness of the samples, improving their wear resistance. These results indicate that nanoporous structures are not effective in lowering friction under the water-lubricated condition.

$Al/SiC/Al_{2}O_{3}$복합재료의 기계적 성질 및 마멸특성 (Mechanical Properties and Wear Behaviour of $Al/SiC/Al_{2}O_{3}$ Composite Materials)

  • $Al/SiC/Al_{2}O_{3}$ hybrid composites are fabricated by squeeze infiltration method. From the misconstructive of $Al/SiC/Al_{2}O_{3}$ hybrid composites fabricated by squeeze infiltration method, uniform distribution of reinforcements and good bondings are found. Hardness value of $Al/SiC/Al_{2}O_{3}$ hybrid composites increases linearly with the volume fraction of reinforcement because SiC whisker and $Al_{2}$O$_{3}$ fiber have an outstanding hardness. Optimal aging conditions are obtained by examining the hardness of $Al/SiC/Al_{2}O_{3}$ hybrid composites with different aging time. Tensile properties such as Young's modulus and ultimate tensile strength are improved up to 30% and 40% by the addition of reinforcements, respectively. Failure mode of $Al/SiC/Al_{2}O_{3}$ hybrid composites is ductile on microstructural level. Through the abrasive wear test and wear surface analysis, wear behaviour and mechanism of 6061 aluminum and $Al/SiC/Al_{2}O_{3}$ hybrid composites are characterized under various testing conditions. The addition of SiC whisker to $Al/SiC/Al_{2}O_{3}$ composites gives rise to improvement of the wear resistance. The wear resistance of $Al/SiC/Al_{2}O_{3}$ hybrid composites is superior to that of Al/SiC composites. The wear mechanism of aluminum alloy is mainly abrasive wear at low speed range and adhesive and melt wear at high speed range. In contrast, that of $Al/SiC/Al_{2}O_{3}$ hybrid composites is abrasive wear at all speed range, but severe wear when counter material is stainless steel. As the testing temperature increases, wear loss of aluminum alloy decreases because the matrix is getting more ductile, but that of $Al/SiC/Al_{2}O_{3}$ hybrid composites is hardly varied. Oil lubricant is more effective to reduce the wear loss of aluminum alloy and $Al/SiC/Al_{2}O_{3}$ hybrid composites at high speed range.

  • It is important to know the mechanical properties of the materials under dynamic load. The mechanical properties of most materials are influenced to some extent by strain rate. One of the reliable test device for determining the mechanical properties of materials at high strain rate is Split Hopkinson Pressure bar. In this paper, we conducted the mechanical properties test for the aluminium alloy 6063 and 6061 using the SHPB device.

나선형 기계 교반 장치를 이용한 Al 합금 레오로지 소재의 제조 (Manufacture of Aluminum Alloy Rheology Materials Using Spiral Stirring Equipment)

  • Recently, industries and academic institutes have been interested in the rheology forming technology for light weight materials. However, this rheocasting process has advantages such as the high initial investment cost and the lower mechanical properties than thixocasting. In this study, the continuous fabrication of rheological material with a spiral stirring equipment(mechanical stirring system) was newly devised to overcome the disadvantages of rheocasting process. The experimental parameters were stirring time($0{\sim}1200sec$), stirring velocity ($0{\sim}100rpm$) and stirring temperature($650{\sim}680^{\circ}C$). The optimal conditions for fabricated rheological material of A6061 alloy were stirring time at 300sec, stirring velocity at 60rpm and stirring temperature at $650^{\circ}C$. At these results, the equivalent diameter was $45{\sim}65{\mu}m$, mean roundness was $1.4{\sim}1.6$ and Vickers hardness was 60Hv.
