수소 분위기에서 후열처리한 상온증착 ZnO:Al 박막의 전기적 특성 분석 (Analysis of Electrical Property of Room Temperature-grown ZnO:Al Thin films Annealed in Hydrogen Ambient)

  • In this paper, to establish growth technology of ZnO:Al thin films at low temperature applied to photoelectronic devices, ZnO:Al were prepared by RF magnetron sputtering on glass substrate at room temperature using different RF power with subsequent annealing process at different temperature in $H_2$ ambient. The resistivity of hydrogen-annealed ZnO:Al thin film at temperature of $300^{\circ}C$ was reduced to $8.32{\times}10^{-4}{\Omega}cm$ from $9.44{\times}10^{-4}{\Omega}cm$ which was optimal value for as-grown films. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS) revealed that improved electrical properties are ascribed to desorption of the negatively charged oxygen species from the grain boundary surfaces by the hydrogen annealing process.

고강도 고인성 Al-Mg-Zn 주조합금의 미세조직 및 특성 (Microstructure and Properties of High Strength High Ductility Al-Mg-Zn Casting Alloy)

  • The typical microstructure of Al-5%Mg-2%Zn cast alloy mainly consists of an aluminum matrix with a small amount of AlMgZn 2nd phase. The secondary dendrite arm spacing and the grain size of the cast alloy tend to be inversely proportional to the section thickness of casting; however, the tensile properties cannot be said to be clearly related to the cast microstructure. After T6 heat treatment, the tensile strength of the alloy was enhanced significantly. TEM analysis results show that very fine AlMgZn precipitates were formed after the heat treatment. The corrosion resistance, measured according to the corrosion potential, was found to increase slightly after the conducting of heat treatment.

  • ZnO:Al thin film can be used as a transparent conducting oxide(TCO) which has low electric resistivity and high optical transmittance for the front electrode of amorphous silicon solar cells and display devices. This study of electrical, crystallographic and optical properties of Al doped ZnO thin films prepared by Facing Targets Sputtering (FTS), where strong internal magnets were contained in target holders to confine the plasma between the targets, is described. Optimal transmittance and resistivity was obtained by controlling flow rate of O$_2$ gas and substrate temperature. When the of gas rate of 0.3 and substrate temperature 200$^{\circ}C$ , ZnO:Al thin film had strongly oriented c-axis and lower resistivity(<10$\^$-4/Ω-cm).

CORROSION BEHAVIOR OF Al-Zn ALLOY AS A SACRIFICIAL ANODE OF ORV TUBES

  • ORV which vaporizes LNG to NG is consisted of tube and header whose substrate is aluminum alloy. The corrosion of the tube is very severe because of sea water being used as the heating source. In this research to protect ORV substrate material, the corrosion behavior of aluminum alloys was investigated for the sacrificial role of Al-Zn alloy for ORV tubes. The electrochemical behavior of aluminum alloys in sea water was investigated. The corrosion behavior of thermally-sprayed and cladded samples were compared through salt spray tests. Al-Zn alloy can act as a sacrificial anode and cladded Al-Zn alloy has a better corrosion resistance than that of thermally sprayed one. The galvanic effect of Al-Zn to substrate material was conformed from scratched sample tests.

  • ZnO varistor에서 희토류 산화물의 첨가는 비선형계 높게 만든다. 회토류 금속의 첨가로 높아진 비저항을 낮추기 위하여 3족 원소인 Al, Ga을 첨가하여 첨가 함량에 따른 ZnO-$Pr_6O_{11}$ varistor의 비저항을 낮추고자 한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 Al과 Ga 첨가에 따른 ZnO-$Pr_6O_{11}$을 일반적인 세라믹 공정에 따라 제조하여, Al과 Ga 첨가에 따른 ZnO-$Pr_6O_{11}$ varistor의 특성을 미세구조 조직, 밀도, I-V 특성, 비저항 측정하였다. ZnO의 bulk 및 grain boundary 특성 변화를 각종 유전함수($Z^*$, $Y^*$, $M^*$, $\varepsilon^*$, $tan{\delta}$)를 이용하여 고찰하였다.

  • 가시광선영역에서 높은 광학적 투명도를 갖는 n-type 반도체인 ZnO 박막은 넓은 범위에서 응용되고 있다. 현재 ZnO 박막의 특성 향상을 위하여 여러 원소(Al, Ga)의 도핑을 시도하고 있다. 특히 Al-doped ZnO 박막은 sol-gel dip coating에 의해서도 높은 전기전도도와 투과율로 활발히 연구되고 있다 본 논문에서는 여러 도핑농도를 갖는 Al-doped ZnO 박막이 sol-gel dip coating법에 의해 준비되었다. Al-doped ZnO 박막은 zinc acetate [Zn($CH_3$COO$_2$)ㆍ2$H_2O$] powder 와 여러 도핑농도를 갖는 aluminum nitrate (Al(NO$_3$)$_3$ㆍ9$H_2O$) powder를 알코올에 용해하여 $H_2O$, Ethylene glycol, Ethylene diamine 등을 첨가하여 제조하였다 XRD와 SEM (Scanning electron microscope)이 막의 상형성 분석을 위해 이용되었으며, 가시광선 영역 투과율(UV/VIS spectrophotometer)과 표면전기저항(four point probe)이 주요 특성으로 분석되었다.

Zn2SiO4:Mn,Al 녹색 형광체의 제조와 발광특성 (Preparation and Luminescent Properties of Zn2SiO4:Mn,Al Green Phosphors)

  • [ $Zn_2SiO_4:Mn$ ] green phosphors doped with $NH_4Cl$ and Al for PDP were synthesized by solid state reaction method. The luminescence of 532 nm in $Zn_2SiO_4:Mn$ phosphors was associated with $^4T_1{\to}^6A_1$ transition. Photoluminescence intensity of $Zn_2SiO_4:Mn$ doped with $NH_4Cl$ 15 mol% increased about two times as compared with that of $NH_4Cl$ non-doped sample. The color of the emission of Al-doped $Zn_2SiO_4:Mn$ phosphors changed to yellowish green.

  • Zinc Oxide (ZnO) films have attracted considerable attention for transparent conducting films, because of their high conductivity, good optical transmittance from UV to near IR as well as a low-cost fabrication. To increase the conductivity of ZnO, doping of group III elements (Al, Ga, In and B) has been carried out. Transparent conducting films have been applied for optoelectric devices, the development of the transparent conducting thin films on flexible light-weight substrates are required. In this research, the transparent conducting ZnO thin films doped with Aluminum (Al) on polymer substrates were deposited by the RF magnetron suputtering method, and the structural, optical and electrical properties were investigated.

용융 Zn 합금에서 Fe합금의 PTA 오버레이 용접 금속간 상의 형성과 진행 (Formation and Progression of Intermetallic phase on Iron Base Alloy PTA weld overlay in Molten Zn Alloys)

  • Zinc coatings provide the most effective and economical way of protecting steel against corrosion. There are three types of galvanizing lines typically used in production line in galvanizing industries,Galvanize (GI) coating (Zn-0.1-0.3%Al), Galfan coating (Zn-5%Al), Galvalume(GL) coating (45%Zn-Al). In continuous Galvanizing lines, the immersed bath hardware (e.g. bearings, sink, stabilizer, and corrector rolls, and also support roll arms and snout tip) are subjected to corrosion and wear failure. Understanding the reaction of these materials with the molten Zn alloy is becomes scientific and commercial interest. To investigate the reaction with molten Zn alloys, static immersion test performed for 4, 8, 16, and 24 Hr. Two different baths used for the static immersion, which are molten Zn and molten Zn-55%Al. Microstructures characterization of each of the materials and intermetallic layer formed in the reaction zone was performed using optical microscope, SEM and EDS. The thickness of the reaction layer is examined using image analysis to determine the kinetics of the reaction. The phase dominated by two distinct phase which are eutectic carbide and matrix. The morphology of the intermetallic phase formed by molten Zn is discrete phase showing high dissolution of the material, and the intermetallic phase formed by Zn-55wt%Al is continuous. Aluminum reacts readily with the materials compare to Zinc, forming iron aluminide intermetallic layer ($Fe_2Al_5$) at the interface and leaving zinc behind.

ITO와 ZnO:Al 투명전도막의 전기적 특성 및 PDP 셀의 휘도 특성 (Electrical Properties of ITO and ZnO:Al Thin Films and Brightness Characteristics of PDP Cell with ITO and ZnO:Al Transparent Electrodes)

  • 각 종 전자 디바이스의 투명전도막으로 많이 사용되는 ITO 및 ZnO:Al 박막을 스퍼터링법에 의해 제작하였다. 가스압력 및 기판온도 등의 최적조건하에서 제작된 ITO 및 ZnO:Al 박막은 각각 $1.67{\times}10^{-3}[{\Omega}-cm]$$2.2{\times}10^{-3}[{\Omega}-cm]$의 비저항율과 89.61[%] 및 90.88[%]의 가시광 영역에서의 광투과율을 나타내었다. ZnO:Al과 ITO 투명전극을 이용하여 5인치의 PDP 셀을 동일한 제조조건하에서 제작하였다. ZnO:Al의 경우 Ne(base)-Xe(8%)의 가스 혼합비, 그리고 400[Torr]의 압력조건에서 가장 잘 동작되었으며, $200{\sim}300$[V]의 인가전압 범위에서 $836[cd/m^2]$의 평균휘도를 나타내었다. 고휘도 및 저 소비전력특성을 위한 중요한 파라메타인 광효율은 전원 주파수가 $10{\sim}50[Khz]$의 범위에서 $1.2{\sim}1.6[lm/W]$정도를 나타내었으며, ITO의 경우 휘도 및 광 발생 효율은 약 10[%]정도 상승하였다.
