월동시 양식장의 연료 절감 대책 (A study on the reduction of fuel consumption for fish farm during winter season)

  • For the fuel saving in the fish farm, the heat transfer performances of various tubes, XL-tube, copper-tube, copper-Nikel-tube and Al-brass-tube, were compared. The XL-tube, which is most commonly used for heating water, showed the poorest heater transfer performance, while the Al-Brass tube shows the best performance. As far as average temperature difference of four tubes concerns, XL-tube is $3.34^{\circ}C$, Copper tube is $10.34^{\circ}C$, Copper-Nikel tube is $11.3^{\circ}C$, Al-Brass-tube is $12^{\circ}C$, The best heat transfer performance of Al-Brass tube results from the enhancement of heat transfer coefficient caused by fin effect and good conductivity of the material.

Al-황동의 응력부식균열 특성에 미치는 인가전위의 영향 (Effect of Impressed Potential on the SCC of Al-Brass)

  • In general, the protection method of Shell and Tube Type heat exchanger for a vessel has been applied as a sacrificial anode, which is attached at the inner side of the shell. However, this is an insufficient protection method for tube. Therefore, a more suitable method, such as the impressed current cathodic protection for tube protection, is required. Al-brass is the raw material of tubes for heat exchanger of a vessel where seawater is used for cooling the water. It has a high level of heat conductivity, excellent mechanical properties, and a high level of corrosion resistance, due to a cuprous oxide (Cu$_2$O) layer against th seawater. However, in actuality, it has been reported that Al-brass tubes for heat exchanger of a vessel can produce local corrosion, such as stress corrosion cracking (SCC). This paper studied the effect of impressed potential on the stress corrosion cracking of Al-brass for impressed current cathodic protection in 3.5% NaCl +0.1% NH$_4$OH solution, under flow by a constant displacement tester. Based on the test results, the latent time of SCC, stress corrosion crack propagation, and the dezincification phase of Al-brass are investigated.

선박용 Al-황동세관의 SCC에 미치는 부식환경의 영향 (Effect of corrosion environment on the SCC of Al-brass tube for vessel)

  • Al-brass is usually used as the tube material of vessel's heat exchanger for seawater cooling system because it has high thermal conductivity and good mechanical properties and high corrosion resistance due to cuprous oxide (Cu20) layer against seawater. However, Al-brass tubes of heat exchanger for vessel at the actual environment is reported that local corrosion such as stress corrosion cracking occurred by synergism effect between mechanical factor and corrosion environment In this paper, the effect of corrosion environment on the stress corrosion cracking of Al-brass in various NH4OH of 3.5% NaCl solution, under flow by constant displacement tester. Based on the test results, the behavior of polarization, stress corrosion crack propagation and dezincification phenomenon of Al-brass are investigated. The main results are as follows:(1) Increasing range of potential from open circuit potential to repassivation gets lower, as the contain rate of NH4OH gets higher. (2) As contain rate of NH4OH gets higher, SCC of Al-brass is become activation but the protection film(Cu20) of Al-brass is created in 3.5% NaCl solution. (3) According as content of NH4OH increases in 3.5% NaCl solution, the dezincifiction area is spread. It is concluded that dezincification occurred by localized preferential anodic dissolution at stress focusing region.

  • This paper was studied on corrosion of heat exchanger tube for absorption refrigeration machine. In the 62 % lithium bromide solution at $60^{\circ}C$, polarization test of Cu, Al-brass, 10 % cupro nickel(90-10 % Cu-Ni) and 30 % cupronickel(70-30 % Cu-Ni) tube was carried out. And polarization behavior, polarization resistance characteristics, open circuit potential, anodic polarization of heat exchanger tube for absorption refrigeration machine were considered. The main results are as following: The open circuit potential of Al-brass tube becomes less noble than that of Cu tube, corrosion current density of that becomes lower than Cu tube. The open circuit potential of cupronickel tube is more noble than that of Cu tube, corrosion current density of that is controlled than Cu tube. The passivation critical current of 30 % Cu-Ni tube is lower than that of 10 % Cu-Ni tube, potential of passive region of that is more wide than 10 % Cu-Ni tube.

  • Al-황동은 기계적 특성 및 열전도성이 우수하고 해수 중에서 표면 보호피막을 형성하므로 부식저항성이 높아 해수를 냉각수로 사용하는 선박용 열교환기의 세관재로 널리 사용되고 있다 Al-황동 세관은 실제 사용 환경에서 굽힘 등에 의한 소성변형된 상태로 사용되는 경우가 많다. 이와 같은 소성변형에 의한 Al-황동 세관의 균열 파손사례는 선박의 오일탱크 내의 가열코일, 각종 열교환기의 세관 등에서 흔히 찾아 볼 수 있다. 또한 세관의 확관에 의한 밀봉 방법에 따라 세관의 변형에 의한 잔류응력 및 어패류 혼입에 의한 해수 유입부의 국부적인 유속증가 등에 기인하여 Al-황동 세관의 균열 및 침식 등의 파손사례가 보고되고있다. 본 연구에서는 $3.5\%$ NaCl. + $0.1\%\;NH_4OH$ 수용액을 시험편 표면에 5 m/s로 액분사하의 가속실험에서 Al-황동 세관의 응력부식균열 거동에 미치는 응력의 영향에 대하여 고찰하였다.

  • Recently all kinds of structural materials are subjected to the severe corrosive environment. Especially corrosion problems of heat exchanger such as galvanic corrosion, erosion and cavitation raised by both contaminated solution and high velocity of fluid to increase cooling effect of heat exchanger have been frequently reported in these days. In this study two kinds of sheet materials and five kinds of tube materials are used for galvanic corrosion characteristics and their corrosion current density calculation. The tube materials having the most galvanic corrosion resistance between tube and sheet of heat exchanger were Al Brass(68700) and Al Brass(C6872TS) and although Ti tube predominantly indicated the highest individual corrosion resistance among those five tube materials. it appeared that Ti tube can be allowed as sheet materials to get galvanic corrosion easily. However it is considered that Cu-Ni tube materials is not only easy to produce galvanic corrosion significantly between tube and sheet regardless of kinds of sheet materials but also is appeared considerably its own high corrosion current density

  • 선박용 열교환기의 냉각수로 사용되고 있는 해수의 입구온도는 스팀터빈콘덴서의 경우 약 $25^{\circ}C$이고 출구온도는 약 $60^{\circ}C$이며, 오일쿨러의 경우 출구온도는 약 $40^{\circ}C$이다. 이러한 해수의 온도 변화는 열교환기 세관재의 부식특성에 크게 영향을 미친다. 그러므로 부식손상을 최소화하면서 열교환 효율을 최대로 유지할 수 있는 냉각용액의 온도설정은 매우 중요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 $3.5\%$ NaCl + $0.1\%\;NH_4OH$ 수용액의 유동하에서 선박용 열교환기 세관재로 사용되고 있는 Al-황동의 분극 및 응력부식균열 실험을 실시하여 분극특성, 응력부식균열거동 및 탈아연특성에 미치는 용액의 온도의 영향에 대하여 고찰하였다.

The Effect of Temperature on Stress Corrosion Cracking of AI Brass under Flow

  • The effect of temperature on stress corrosion cracking o f Al-brass used in vessel heat exchanger tube was studied in 3.5% NaCI + 0.1% $NH_4OH$ solution. The SCC test using a CDT(constant displacement test) and the specimens using a SEN(single edge notched) specimens. For setting the environment similar to working environment of a heat exchanger, the specimens was immersed in solution and solution flow onto the specimens were performed. The results are as follows : The latent time of stress corrosion crack occurrence gets shorter, as the temperature gets higher. Dezincification phase showed around the crack occupy wider range, as the temperature gets higher. Zn composition falls under 4% at the dezincifiction area.

  • Titanium재료는 해수에서 좋은 내식성을 가지는 이유로 최근 원자력발전소 복수기에 사용되고 있다. 그러나, Ti이 tubesheet재 료인 Cu 합금에 접하고 이것이 water box 재료인 탄소강에 접하게될 경우 접촉금속에 심한 galvanic corrosion이 일어나게 된다. 전기화학적 실험에 의하면, 탄소강이 해수속에서 Ti나 Cu에 접할 때 탄소강의 부식속도는 증가할 것이며, Cu가 Ti에 해수중에서 장기간 접촉할 경우에는 Cu의 부식속도는 증가할 것으로 생각된다, 또한 표면적비, R$_1$(surface area of carbon steel/surface area of Ti).와 R$_2$(surface area of carbon steel/surface area of Cu)가 탄소강의 galvanic corrosion에 매우 중요하며. Water box 재료인 탄소강의 부식속도를 최소화하기 위해서는 이들 표면적비가 낮게 유지되어서는 안될 것이라고 생각된다 침지 galvanic 부식 시험결과 surface area of Fe/surface area of Al Brass값이 1일때 탄소강의 부식속도는 4.4mpy 이었으나 이 비가 $10^{-2}$ 일때는 570mpy이었다. 이렇게 연결된 galvanic시편에 Ti tube를 연결한 경우에는 이 비가 1일때 탄소강의 부식율이 4.4mpy에서 13mpy로 증가하였다. 이는 R$_1$가 R$_2$가 분극곡선에 복합적인 영향을 미치는것으로 설명할 수 있다.
