질화규소 세라믹의 레이저 예열선삭에 관한 연구 (I) - 공정변수에 따른 질화규소의 예열특성 및 산화거동 - (A Study on Laser Assisted Machining for Silicon Nitride Ceramics (I) - Preheating Characteristics and Oxidation Behaviors of Silicon Nitride Ceramics with Machining Parameters -)

  • Silicon nitride is widely used as an engineering ceramics because it has high strength, abrasion resistance and corrosion resistance even at high temperature. However, machining of silicon nitride is difficult due to its high hardness and brittleness. Laser assisted machining(LAM) allows effective cutting using CBN tool by locally heating the cutting part to the softening temperature of YSiAlON using the laser beam. The effect of preheating depending on process parameters were studied to find out the oxidation mechanism. If silicon nitride is sufficiently preheated, the surface is oxidized and $N_2$ gas is formed and escapes from the material, thereby making the cutting process more advantageous. During laser preheating process before machining, high temperature results in strong oxidation which makes the bloating, silicate layers and micro cracks. Using the results of these experiments, preheating characteristics and oxidation behavior were found out.

  • In this study, the microstructure and mechanical properties of spot friction stir welded A 5052 alloy were investigated. Especially, the effect of insertion depth of welding tool on microstructural changes and mechanical properties was investigated in order to obtain the optimum spot friction stir welding condition. The lap shear load of spot friction stir welded A 5052 alloy plates showed lower value at the shallowest insertion depth and increased with tool insertion depth. At 1.6mm, the maximum value of 3.35 kN was obtained, and then dropped to lower load when the insertion depth was deeper. Spot friction stir welded joints showed shear fracture mode at shallower insertion depths and fracture mode changed to plug fracture mode as the insertion depth was deeper.

  • The advantage of ceramic ink-jet printing technology is the accurate and fast printing process of digital images for various products. For digital ink-jet printing applications, ceramic ink requires proper viscosity and surface tension, along with dispersion stability of the inorganic pigments. The purpose of this study is the formulation of an environment-friendly ceramic ink with a water-based system; using nano-sized $CoAl_2O_4$ pigment as a raw material, ink should have dispersion stability to prevent nozzle clogging during ink-jet printing process. In addition, the surface tension of the ceramic ink was optimized with the polysiloxane surfactant according to the surface tension requirement (20 - 45 mN/m) for ceramic ink-jet printing; by adjusting the viscosity with poly ethylene oxide, jetting behavior of the ceramic ink was investigated according to changes in the physical features through drop watcher measurement.

  • Organic light emitting layer in OLED device was formed by gravure printing process in this work. Organic surface coated by gravure printing typically showed relatively bad uniformity. Thickness and roughness control was characterized by applying various mixed solvents in this work. Poly (N-vinyl carbazole) (PVK) and fact-tris(2-phenylpyridine)iridium($Ir(ppy)_3$) are host dopant system materials. PVK was used as a host and Ir(ppy)3 as green-emitting dopant. To luminance efficiency of the plasma treatment on etched ITO glass and then PEDOT:PSS spin coated. The device layer structure of OLED devices is as follow Glass/ITO/PEDOT:PSS/PVK+Ir(ppy)3-Active layer /LiF/Al. It was printed by gravure printing technology for polymer light emitting diode (PLED). To control the thickness multi-printing technique was applied. As the number of the printing was increased the thickness enhancement was increased. To control the roughness of organic layer film, thermal annealing process was applied. The annealing temperature was varied from room temperature, $40^{\circ}C$, $80^{\circ}C$, to $120^{\circ}C$.

OH MASERS TOWARDS THE W49A STAR-FORMING REGION WITH MERLIN AND e-MERLN OBSERVATIONS

  • We present preliminary results from OH ground state phase referenced observations carried out with the Multi Element Radio Linked Interferometer Network (MERLIN) and e-MERLIN towards the massive star forming region W49A. There are three active SFRs within this complex: W49 North (W49 N), W49 South (W49 S) and W49 South West (W49 SW). The first epoch of observations was obtained in 2005 with MERLIN while the second epoch was obtained in 2013 with the e-MERLIN upgraded system. In this paper, we present 1665 and 1720 MHz maser emission towards W49 S and W49 SW. Overall, both epochs show good agreement with the previous observations of Argon et al. (2000) carried out with the Very Large Array (VLA). The better sensitivity and wider velocity coverage of the MERLIN/e-MERLIN observations allowed us to discover a new 1720 MHz OH maser site in W49 S.

장쇄지방산 LB박막의 전류-전압 특성에 관한 연구 (A study on the I-V Properties of Long Chain Fatty Acid of LB Thin Films)

  • We give pressure stimulation into long chain fatty acid of LB thin films then manufacture a device under the accumulation condition that the state surface pressure is 20[mN/m]. In processing of a device manufacture, we can see the process is good from the change of a surface pressure for organic thin films and transfer ratio of area per molecule. The structure of manufactured device is Au/Arachidic acid/Al, the number of accumulated layers are 13, 17 and 19. The I-V characteristic of the device is measured from 0[V] to +1.5[V]. We have investigated the capacitance because this fatty acid system have a accumulated layers. The maximum value of measured current is increased as the number of accumulated layers are decreased. The capacitor properties of a thin film is better as the distance between electrodes is smaller. The results have shown the insulating materials and could control the conductivity by accumulated layers.

  • The effect of co-sputtering condition on the structural properties of $Mg_xZn_{1-x}O$ thin films grown by RF magnetron co-sputtering system was investigated for manufacturing ZnO/MgZnO structure LED. $Mg_xZn_{1-x}O$ thin films were grown with ZnO and MgO target varying RF power. Structural properties were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS). The ZnO thin films have sufficient crystallinity on the high RF power. As RF power of ZnO target increased, the contents of MgO in the $Mg_xZn_{1-x}O$ film decreased. LED was manufactured using ZnO/MgZnO multi-layer on p-GaN/$Al_2O_3$ substrate. Threshold voltage of multi-layer LED was appeared at 8 V, and it was luminesced at wave length of 550 nm.

The structure of manufactured device is Au/Poly-${\gamma}$ Benzyl $_D$-Glutamate/Al; the number of accumulated layers is 1, 3, 5 and 7. Also, we then examined of the MIM device by means of I-V. The I-V characteristic of the device is measured from 0 to +2[V]. We determined electrochemical measurement by using cyclic voltammetry with a three-electrode system. LB film accumulated by monolayer on an ITO. In the cyclicvoltammetry, An Ag/AgCl reference electrode, a platinum wire counter electrode and LB film-coated ITO working electrode measured in $LiBF_4$ solution, stable up to 0.9V vs. Ag/AgCl.

Text Mining in Online Social Networks: A Systematic Review

  • Online social networks contain a large amount of data that can be converted into valuable and insightful information. Text mining approaches allow exploring large-scale data efficiently. Therefore, this study reviews the recent literature on text mining in online social networks in a way that produces valid and valuable knowledge for further research. The review identifies text mining techniques used in social networking, the data used, tools, and the challenges. Research questions were formulated, then search strategy and selection criteria were defined, followed by the analysis of each paper to extract the data relevant to the research questions. The result shows that the most social media platforms used as a source of the data are Twitter and Facebook. The most common text mining technique were sentiment analysis and topic modeling. Classification and clustering were the most common approaches applied by the studies. The challenges include the need for processing with huge volumes of data, the noise, and the dynamic of the data. The study explores the recent development in text mining approaches in social networking by providing state and general view of work done in this research area.

Single and Binary Competitive Sorption of Phenanthrene and Pyrene in Natural and Synthetic Sorbents

  • Sorption of phenanthrene (PHE) and pyrene (PYR) in several sorbents, i.e., natural soil, BionSoil®, Pahokee peat, vermicompost and Devonian Ohio Shale and a surfactant (hexadecyltrimethyl ammonium chloride)-modified montmorillonite (HDTMA-M) were investigated. Pyrene exhibited higher sorption tendency than phenanthrene, as predicted by its higher octanol to water partition coefficient (Kow). Several sorption models: linear, Freundlich, solubility-normalized Freundlich model, and Polanyi-Manes model (PMM) were used to analyze sorption isotherms. Linear isotherms were observed for natural soil, BionSoil®, Pahokee peat, vermicompost, while nonlinear Freundlich isotherms fitted for Ohio shale and HDTMA-M. The relationship between sorption model parameters, organic carbon content (foc), and elemental C/N ratio was studied. In the binary competitive sorption of phenanthrene and pyrene in natural soil, competition between the solutes caused reduction in the sorption of each solute compared with that in the single-solute system. The ideal adsorbed solution theory (IAST) coupled with the single-solute Freundlich model was not successful in describing the binary competitive sorption equilibria. This was due to the inherent nature of linear sorption of phenanthrene and pyrene in natural soil. The result indicates that the applicability of IAST for the prediction of binary competitive sorption is limited when the sorption isotherms are inherently linear.
