  • A new kinematically admissible velocity field for a generalized three-dimensional flow is introduced, in which the flow is bounded by an analytic die-profile function. Then, by applying the upper-bound method th the velocity field, the flow patterns as the upper-bound method are obtained. Extrusion of elliptic sections from round billets is chosen as a computational example. Computation and experiments are carried out for work-hardening material such as aluminum alloy 2024. In order to visualize the plastic flow, the grid marking technique is employed. The theoretical predictions both in extrusion load and deformed pattern are in good agreement with the experimental data.

  • We performed a taxonomic study on Korean freshwater bryozoans with the materials collected from 70 localities during 2014 to 2016. A total of 14 Korean freshwater bryozoans are reported through this study. Among them, three Plumatellids, Plumatella fungosa (Pallas, 1768), P. repens (Linnaeus, 1758), and P. reticulata Wood, 1988, are newly added to the Korean fauna. Three species were redescribed with only their statoblasts: Lophopodella carteri, Plumatella rugosa, and Stephanosella hina (Seo, 1998; 2005; Chae et al., 2016). Their colonies were found in Korea for the first time in this study. Since Fredericella sultana, Hyalinella punctata, and Plumatella casmiana were reported from Korea (Toriumi, 1941), neither statoblast nor colony has been found, but we observed them. Living colonies of six species were photographed in the field. Furthermore, the statoblasts of nine species, including three species new to the Korean fauna, were also documented using scanning electron microscopy.

  • Halloysite nanotube (HNT) has a nanotube structure with the chemical formula of Al2Si2O5(OH)4·nH2O and is a natural sediment of aluminosilicate. HNT has been used as additive to improve the mechanical properties of epoxy composites with exchange of amine group as a terminal functional group using huge amount of organic solvents. In order to save time and simplify complicated procedures, a dry coating machine was designed and used for amine group exchange in previous research. For better applications, it was conducted with different parameters and with scale up settings. Best condition was found to reduce usage of solvent, time and man power.

  • PCOS is the most common endocrine pathology in females of reproductive worldwide. The prevalence ranges between 5% and 15% depending on the diagnostic criteria applied. Its etiology involves both genetic and environmental factors. Typically, women with PCOS show clinical and biochemical hyperandrogenism, oligoanovulation, and micropolycystic morphology of the ovaries. Unani formulation containing Nankhwah, Badiyan and Wajturki possessing the properties of Mudirr-i-Bawl-o- Hayd, mujaff -iBalgham, Munaffis-i- balgham, Muhallil, Muqawwi-i-Jigar were used in the form of Joshanda 6gm BD Starting from 5 days prior to expected period date to 5 days during menses for 3 cycles, which led to regain regularity of menses, correcting the amount of flow and reducing the ovarian volume on US. Thus unani medications have the potential to treat ths symtoms of PCOS and improve the quality of life of women.

  • PM (Particulate Matters) was collected from a bag filter dust collector at an aluminum foundries, and its physicochemical properties were investigated using particle size analyzer and scanning electron microscopy with energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer (SEM/EDS). The median volume diameter of the particles passing through the pretreatment dust collector of the cyclone was approximately 10 ㎛. The cyclone pretreatment dust collector was shown to significantly reduce the throughput of large particles with a particle size of 100 ㎛ or more. The chemical composition of the particles showed a high Al content, and trace amounts of Mg, Si, and Zn were detected.

  • This study tries clarify the process of making decisions with geographic information systems and how to choose the best place for Khartoum State displaced people to relocate to in order to be closer to cheaper places with access to commodities and services. For network analysis, use a unique model. The network analysis tool was dependent on the following information: availability of goods and services, cheap cost, and proximity to the state of Khartoum.in choosing the best state. The study came to the conclusion that, in terms of accessibility, affordability, and availability of products and services, Gezira State is the best state for people who have been displaced from Khartoum State. When developing a new model, we recommend that all GIS users apply the theories of spatial analysis.

  • This study examines how the independence of monetary policy changes in situations where the interest rate differential between domestic and foreign rates inverts, utilizing the trilemma indices. For analysis, this paper uses the trilemma indices developed by Kim et al. (2017) to analyze the relationship between the monetary policy independence index and the other two trilemma indices, namely the capital account openness index and the exchange rate stability index, across 45 countries from 2002 to 2018. The analysis reveals that the trilemma's validity is contingent. In particular, no statistically significant negative correlation was found between the monetary policy independence index and exchange rate stability index during periods of interest rate differential inversion. A positive correlation emerges between exchange rate stability and the independence of monetary policy, particularly when the inverted interest rate differential exceeds a certain threshold. This situation, where the exchange rate remains stable despite low domestic interest rates, implies that the central bank is effectively managing monetary policy to appropriately respond to economic conditions, which is reflected in the monetary policy independence index.

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology has evolved rapidly in recent years and is used in everything from banking to email management to surgery, but without the help of the visible, most of the fun features of the Internet include visual impairment. It benefits people with disabilities. The main purpose of this study is to find ways to help people with visual impairments using AI technology. A visually impaired request is made for the visually impaired. For example, when a message arrives that the program will notify you by voice (reads the sender's name, read the message, and replies to it if necessary), this is a special program installed on your mobile phone. This program uses a customized algorithm developed in Python to convert written text to voice, read text, and convert voice to written text on a message when a visually impaired person wants to respond. Then it sends the response in the form of a text message. Therefore, the research should lead to programs for people with visual impairments. This program makes mobile phones easier and more comfortable to use and makes the daily life easier for visual impairments.

  • This study seeks to develop analytical solutions for the biothermoelastic model without accounting for energy dissipation. These solutions are then applied to estimate the temperature changes induced by external heating sources by integrating relevant empirical data characterizing the biological tissue of interest. The distributions of temperature, displacement, and strain were obtained by utilizing the eigenvalues approach with the Laplace transforms and numerical inverse transforms method. The impacts of the rate of blood perfusion and the metabolic activity parameter on thermoelastic behaviors were discussed specifically. The temperature, displacement, and thermal strain results are visually represented through graphical representations.

  • In this paper we present a non-standard finite difference method for solving a fractional decay model. The proposed NSFDM is constructed by incorporating a non-standard denominator function, resulting in an explicit numerical scheme as easy as the conventional Euler method, but it provides very accurate solutions and has unconditional stability. Two examples from the literature are presented to demonstrate the performance of the proposed numerical scheme, which is compared to three methods from the literature. It is found that the method's estimated errors are extremely minimal, such as within the machine precision.
