에어 스테이지의 동적 특성에 미치는 가속도 및 감속도의 영향 (Effect of the Acceleration and Deceleration on the Dynamic Characteristics of an Air Stage)

  • Air stages are usually applied to precision engineering in sectors such as the semiconductor industry owing to their excellent performance and extremely low friction. Since the productivity of a semiconductor depends on the acceleration and deceleration performance of the air stage, many attempts have been made to improve the speed of the stage. Even during sudden start or stop sequences, the stage should maintain an air film to avoid direct contact between pad and the rail. The purpose of this study is to quantitatively predict the dynamic behavior of the air stage when acceleration and deceleration occur. The air stage is composed of two parts; the stage and the guide-way. The stage transports objects to the guideway, which is supported by an externally pressurized gas bearing. In this study, we use COMSOL Multiphysics to calculate the pressure of the air film between the stage and the guide-way and solve the two-degree-of-freedom equations of motion of the stage. Based on the specified velocity conditions such as the acceleration time and the maximum velocity of stage, we calculate the eccentricity and tilting angle of the stage. The result shows that the stiffness and damping of the gas bearing have non-linear characteristics. Hence, we should consider the operating conditions in the design process of an air stage system because the dynamic behavior of the stage becomes unstable depending on the maximum velocity and the acceleration time.

핀이 없는 전폐형 유도전동기 프레임의 정익 설치에 의한 열전달 향상 (Heat transfer enhancement of finless TEFC induction motor frame by installing guide vanes)

  • The heat generated in an induction motor is mostly dissipated through the frame. The study on the heat transfer characteristics of a newly manufactured finless TEFC(Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled) induction motor showed/that it had an unsuitable structure in view of the heat transfer. The angle of the cooling air flow was very large and the ribs disturbed the air flow and partially generated the wake region on the frame. In the wake region the temperature was very high. Thus the heat transfer coefficients were lower than those of the frame with fins. Also was investigated the heat transfer characteristics of the motor frame by installing various guide vanes in the fan-side end cap. An optimum heat transfer case was found and the average heat transfer coefficient of the frame was 70% higher and the average coil temperature measured by the resistance method was 9 deg. C lower than that of the frame which had no guide vanes.

라인-디퓨저의 ADPI특성에 관한 연구 (ADPI Characteristics of a Line-Diffuser)

  • It is difficult to apply a conventional selection guide for diffusers when the diffuser is installed in a perimeter zone, because the ADPI(Air Diffusion Performance Index) vs. T/L(Throw/Length) curve listed in conventional guide does not consider the perimetric heating load. The objective of this study is to evaluate the effect of the perimetric heating load on the ADPI and to propose a selection guide for proper diffuser when perimetric heating load exists. The velocity and temperature distributions and the ADPI value are obtained numerically with various heat load ratios and air flow rates. The ADPI values by numerical result were compared with existing experimental data to verify the method for evaluation of ADPI proposed in present study. In case of a high side wall diffuser, the ADPI decreased with increases of the flow rate on every heat load ratio of present study except 0.75. Also, the ADPI vs. T/L curves have been proposed for the heat load ratios of 0.25, 0.5, 0.75 to guarantee comport thermal environment when diffusers are installed in perimeter zone.

모바일하버에 적용할 컨테이너 적재 유도 시스템 (A Container Stacking System for the Mobile Harbor)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a stacking guidance system (SGS) of containers in the mobile harbor (MH). A mobile harbor is a floating structure especially designed for loading and unloading containers from and to a large container ship. A novel stacking guidance system was proposed for unloading the container in an effective way against possible vibrations of the floating body. The guidance system works as an aid for loading containers with a wider opening for easier stacking of a container into a moving storage cell due to waves. In order to determine the most effective inclination angle of the cell-guide, this study performed the dynamic analysis of the SGS equipped in the MH subject to fluctuations of the sea. The motions of the guidance system and a container loaded were calculated using ADAMS. The simulation results of the contact force between the two rigid bodies showed that a desirable angle of the cell-guide should be around 20 degrees from the vertical. This proposed SGS can considerably reduce the loading and unloading time, and will enhance the performance of the MH.

새로운 유도성 포스트 구조를 갖는 Ka-Band NRD 가이드 필터의 설계 및 제작 (Design and Fabrication of Ka-Band NRD Guide Filter with Newly Designed Inductive Post Structure)

  • 본 논문에서는 NRD Guide를 이용한 새로운 구조의 Ka-Band 대 역 의 필터를 설계하고, 제작하여 그 측정 결과를 기존의 구조와 비교 검토하였다. 밀리미터파 대역의 필터는 필터의 치수에 매우 민감하며, 따라서 설계치와 유사한 특성을 갖기 위해서는 수 미크론의 정밀도가 요구된다. 기존의 공극 결합된 NRD 가이드 필터의 경우, 필터의 각 단의 공진기로 동작하는 유전체 블록을 공극 결합시켜 필터로 구현하였다. 이러한 구조에서는 각 단의 공진기의 정밀가공 및 각 단의 공진기 간의 간격을 수 미크론 대의 정밀도로 조립하기란 거의 불가능하다. 본 논문에서는 NRD 가이드를 이루는 유전체 선로에 유도성 포스트를 삽입하여 각 단의 공진기를 결합한 구조를 갖는다. 포스트 사이의 유전체 선로는 필터의 각 단의 공진기로 동작하며, 포스트의 삽입위치로 각 단의 결합량을 결정하였다. 제안한 필터는 그 구조가 매우 간단하고, 정밀가공이 용이해 양산에 적합한 구조를 갖는다. 설계, 제작 및 측정결과,중심주파수 39.475 GHz에서 350 MHz의 대역폭을 가지며, 통과대역에서 1.8 dB 이하의 삽입손실과, -18 dB 이하의 반사손실을 갖는다.

  • The present study introduces and describes the characteristics of the spiral guide and groove body cyclones for the first time. The spiral guide was set inside the cyclone body or the inside of the cyclone body was grooved circumferentially or vertically. Except for the cyclone body, all configurations were the same. The particle collection efficiency for a conventional cyclone (Figure 1) was measured under a series of flow rates ranging from 15 L/min up to 80 L/min, and was compared with that yielded using existing theories. 제트팬 노즐내부 유동에 대한 고정익 출구 원주속도의 영향 (Effect of Circumferential Velocity from Guide Vane on the Nozzle Flow of a Jet Fan)

  • A numerical study is peformed to investigate the effect of circumferential velocity generated by the guide vane on the nozzle flow of a jet fan, s a way of increasing the penetration force of jet fan with nozzle of 175mm diameter. For the validation of numerical results. the velocity is measured by a 5-hole pitot tube and flow visualization is conducted by the tuft method. Under the inlet condition that the maximum circumferential velocity in the stator outlet of the present jet fan is 1.8m/s, the axial velocity in the nozzle outlet has the feature that the velocity at the axis is low and the velocity near the wall high. Therefore, to increase the throw length of the jet fan, the configuration of the fairing and nozzle needs to be developed and the precise revise of the stator angle is required, In addition, the bigger the circumferential velocity, the smaller the axial velocity at the axis and the bigger non-uniformity of the flow distribution.

전동차 소음저감을 위한 슬라이딩플러그 출입문 개발 (Development of a Sliding-Plug Entrance Door System for Urban Electric Transit Unit to Reduce Inside Noise Level)

  • Reduction of noise level in the cabin of urban transit unit is an important issue to enhance the comfortability of passengers. It is made clear that a cause of increased noise level in cabin is the imperfect airtightness of entrance doors. In this study, the sliding-plug door system is developed to reduce the noise level of cabins by securing the airtightness of entrance door. The sliding-plug door system is composed of air-driven engine, swing arms, guide rails, guide rollers and locking devices. It is economical owing to using the previous door engine system. It is also adequate for the platform system of our subway station. It was tested to prove the reliability of system and was applied to standard urban transit unit. The effectiveness of noise reduction in cabin resulting form the sliding-plug door system was confirmed by test results.

측면 에어 가이드 트랙을 이용한 새로운 운동마찰계수 측정 장치의 개발 (Development of New Measurement Device for the Coefficient of Kinetic Friction by Using Side Air-Guide Track)

  • In this study, a new experimental device was developed for measurement of the coefficient of kinetic friction using a photo gate timer system which have advantages of easy and accurate detection of motion. This device, consisting of a side air-guide track and a side friction-free glider, forces a friction sample to move in a straight line without producing unnecessary friction. The new device is compared to two conventional measuring methods of friction for four different friction samples: one is using a camera system and the other is using a force sensor. It is demonstrated that the developed friction device in this study is easier to operate and produces the most accurate and the least deviating results among them. On the basis of these results, we propose that friction experiment using the new friction device is included in general physics experiment, so that engineering students should have a chance to get correct understanding of classical mechanics including friction phenomenon.

  • LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) is widely used electronic product. It needs too many processes such as PECVD (Plasma Enhanced Vapor Deposition), Sputtering, Photo-lithography, Dry etch. Each process is important but inspection process is more important because most companies emphasis on the six sigma. Recently, LCD inspection system is composed with inlet, inspector, outlet air pads. LCD is inspected on air pad which is shooting air from air hole. This paper studies on pad design of air bearing for LCD inspection to minimize LCD fluctuation. This design is able to reduce fluctuation and then satisfies CCD inspectional range. Also inspection pad needs to adequate stable area.
