Rail-Joint에서 퍼지룰을 기반으로하는 공극신호처리법 (Air-Gap Signal Treatment based Fuzzy Rule in Rail-Joint)

  • Maglev using EMS becomes unstable by unexpected big air-gap disturbance. The main causes of the unexpected air-gap disturbance are step-wise rail joint and large distance between rail splices. For the stable operation of the Maglev, the conventional system uses the threshold method, which selects one gap sensor among two gap sensors installed on the magnet to read the gap between magnet and guide rail. But the threshold method with a wide bandwidth makes the discontinuous air-gap signal at the rail joints because of the offset in air gap sensors and/or the step-wise rail joins. Further more, in the case of the one with a narrow bend-width, it makes Maglev system unstable because of frequent alternation. In this paper, a new method using fuzzy rule to reduce air-gap disturbances proposed to improve the stability of Maglev system. It treats the air-gap signal from dual gap sensors effectively to make continuous signal without air gap disturbance. Simulation and experiment results proved that the proposed scheme was effective to reduce air-gap disturbance from dual gap sensors in rail joints.

  • Back-end-of-line using ultra low-k (ULK; k < 2.5) has been required to reduce resistive capacitance beyond 45 nmtechnologies, because micro-processing units need higher speed and density. There are two strategies to manufacture ULK inter-layer dielectric (ILD) materials using an air-gap (k = 1). The former ULK and calcinations of ILD degrade the mechanical strength and induce a high cost due to the complication of following process, such as chemical mechanical polishing and deposition of the barrier metal. In contrast, the air-gap based low-k ILD with a relatively higher density has been researched on the trench-type with activity, but it has limited application to high density devices due to its high air-gap into the next metal layer. The height of air-gap into the next metal layer was reduced by changing to the via-typed air-gap, up to about 50% compared to that of the trench-typed air-gap. The controllable ULK was easily fabricated using the via-typed air-gap. It is thought that the via-type air-gap made the better design margin like via-patterning in the area with the dense and narrow lines.

표면부착형 영구자석 전동기의 정현파 공극자속밀도 연구 (A Study on Sinewave Air Gap Flux Density of Surface Type Magnet Motor)

  • This report describes the analytical characteristic of sinewave air gap flux density for the brushless AC motor with surface permanent magnet. The analysis of sinewave air gap flux density is the key to expect the performance of back EMF for the design of brushless AC motor. The numerical analysis and FEM analysis are performed to adopt radial and parallel flux magnetization of magnet on the rotor. And it is also executed to vary the magnet arc angle and arc radius for the condition of constant and non constant air gap. This report is focused on the characteristic of sinewave air gap flux density for permanent magnet of surface brushless AC motor. This results also have more reliable data against the previous paper which had the representative numerical analysis of air gap flux density[1][2].

고효율 에어갭 공명기의 소음 저감 특성 (Noise Reduction Characteristics of a High-performance Air-gap Resonator)

  • The objective of the paper is to demonstrate the noise reduction characteristics of an air-gap resonator, which is composed of an air gap and a partition sheet. By means of installing the air-gap resonator in an enclosed cavity, acoustic resonance can be effectively suppressed using a small space. In particular, it is revealed from a simple, one-dimensional model that the air-gap resonator serves as the Helmholtz resonator that generally absorbs acoustic resonance energy at its resonance frequency. As a result, the air-8ap resonator also has a resonance frequency, which can be predicted with a simple frequency equation derived in the paper. Finally, verification experiments show that the air-gap resonator can be effectively designed by predicting a reasonable gap thickness using the simple frequency-equation.

디지털 유방확대촬영술에서 Air gap technique의 유용성 평가 (Evaluation of the Usefulness for Air Gap Technique in Digital Magnification Mammography)

  • 이 연구는 디지털 유방확대촬영술에서 방사선 피폭을 감소시키며 영상의 질을 유지하기 위한 최적의 촬영조건을 알아보았다. 자동노출방식의 평균유선선량이 수동노출방식에 비해 높은 것으로 나타났다. 자동노출방식은 그리드(grid) 사용 여부에 따라 평균유선선량과 화질평가에 차이가 많았으나, 수동노출방식은 팬텀영상평가 점수에서만 차이가 있었다. 그러나 air gap technique을 사용할 경우 모든 노출방식에서 신호대잡음비의 증가가 뚜렷하게 나타났다. 따라서 유방확대촬영 시 air gap technique을 사용한다면 환자의 평균유선선량을 감소시키고 신호대잡음비를 높여 양질의 화질을 유지할 수 있을 것이다.

양성자치료시 Air Gap 변화에 따른 Lateral Penumbra와 선량분포 변화에 대한 비교 및 연구 (Research for Lateral Penumbra and Dose Distribution When Air Gap Changing in Proton Therapy Case)

  • 목 적: 고 에너지 양성자치료에 있어서 Air gap (환자와 Beam 사출구 사이의 거리)의 변화는 Lateral Penumbra의 증가로 불필요한 조사야를 형성할 수 있고, 치료부위에서 최대선량 증가와 최소선량 감소로 선량분포의 균질성을 저하시킬 수 있다. 이에 Air gap 변화에 따른 선량분포에 대해 비교, 연구해 보고자 한다. 대상 및 방법: 본원에서 양성자치료를 받은 Lung, Liver 환자 6명을 선정하여 크기가 다른 조사야 A와 조사야 B에서 Air gap을 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 cm로 설정하여 Proton external beam planning system을 통해 치료계획을 세웠다. Air gap에 따른 Lateral Penumbra 영역 및 DVH (Dose Volume Histogram)를 비교하고 PCTV영역의 최대선량 및 최소선량 값을 비교하였다. 또한 PCTV내에 선량의 균질성을 알기 위하여 Homogeneity index값을 비교, 분석하였다. 결 과: 각각의 조사야에서 Air gap의 변화(2, 4, 6, 8, 10 cm)에 따른 Lateral Penumbra영역을 분석한 결과 조사야 A에서 Air gap 2~10 cm변화에 따라 평균 1.36~1.75 cm까지 약 28.7%가 지속적으로 증가하였고 조사야 B에서 평균 1.36~1.79 cm까지 약 31.6%가 지속적으로 증가하였다. DVH를 분석한 결과 최대선량의 상대선량 백분율은 Air gap 2~10 cm일 때 평균 108.1%에서 평균 110.3%까지 약 2.03%가 지속적으로 증가하였고 최소선량의 상대선량 백분율은 평균 93.9%에서 평균 90.8%까지 약 3.31%가 지속적으로 감소하였다. Homogeneity index값은 평균 Air gap 2~10 cm까지 1.09~2.6으로 2배 이상 증가하였다. 결 론: 양성자 치료에 있어서 Air gap이 증가함에 따라 Lateral Penumbra 영역이 증가함을 알 수 있었고, 치료부위에서 최대선량 값의 증가와 최소선량 값의 감소로 인하여 Homogeneity index값이 증가함으로써 PCTV내에 Beam의 균질성이 떨어지는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이에 추후 양성자치료시 Air gap을 줄이기 위한 노력이 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

A Design Optimization of Asymmetric Air-gap Structure for Small 3-phase Permanent Magnet SPM BLDC Motor

  • As many researchers are relentlessly trying to improve the power generation schemes from the power grid, to meet the constantly increasing electricity demand. In this paper, the results of a finite element analysis are carried out to study on a design optimization of an asymmetric air-gap structure in 3-phase Permanent Magnet Brushless DC Motors. To achieve a high efficiency for a 3-phase PM BLDC motor, the asymmetric air-gap structure is proposed considering the rotation direction of a motor. Generally, a single-phase BLDC motor is applied asymmetric air-gap structure for starting. This is because the asymmetric air-gap structure causes reluctance variation so the motor can utilize reluctance torque toward a rotation direction. In this paper, the asymmetric air-gap is applied to 3-phase BLDC SPM motor so it utilizes reluctance torque with alignment torque. A proposed model is designed by 2-D FE analysis and the results are verified by experimental test.

Air Gap 편심에 따른 Switched Reluctance Motor의 전자기 가진력 해석 (Eletromagnetic Field Analysis of SRM Due to Air Gap Eccentricity)

  • SRM(Switched Reluctance Motor) 내부의 Radial Force는 소음ㆍ진동의 주원인이 되는 가진력으로 작용하는 것으로 알려져 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 Radial Force의 주 요인인 Motor 내부의 Air Gap 편심에 따른 반경방향의 전자기 가진력을 전자장 수치해석을 통하여 해석하고 소음ㆍ진동에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. Air Gap 편심량을 변화시켜 가면서 Stator, Rotor의 Local Force와 Gloval Force인 Torque Fluctuation을 해석하고 이를 실험 결과와 비교함으로서 해석결과의 타당성을 입증하였다.
